russian for desire?

Hello, just got my first htc desire and wanna put russian language in it. Can anyone pls help me out? It has android version 2.2 and software number 2.13.720.1

install application morelocale2 from the Market.

Use 2.*.405.2 firmwares. Or try morelocale2 software

Where do i get 2.*.405.2 firmwares from? Also, can i directly flash firmware or do i need to install hspl first? thanks

Guess what....morelocale2 worked perfect for me, i installed russian but typing input is still english. Any ideas how to fix that? Thanks

With a gold card as the OP is branded

There is no need to change language of the phone interface to use russian keyboard, you just need to add it from keyboard settings, i.e. international keyboard (you are using froyo, right?). i use russian, english and lithuanian languages ( mind you, i just use english alphabet to type in lithuanian), so once you activate 2 or more keyboards, tap on microphone button on the keyboard switches languages. I'm using stock froyo with htc sense.

[Q] Best custom rom for Wildfire with croatian language support

I would like to know if there is some custom rom that has croatian language support, I mean that the hole android interface is in croatian language. If this kind of rom exists I would be very gratefull if someone could put links through which i could download rom and if you could explain me how to install that rom. Btw. I have Froyo 2.2 installed on my HTC Wildfire

Hi mate if you already bought your phone with froyo 2.2,then you won't be able to install custom rom's.you'll need to root your phone if you want to install custom rom's and android 2.2 froyo hasn't been cracked for the wildfire. Your gonna after wait for it to be cracked.

yeah, I read about that and it is not a problem, I will wait until someone crack's froyo for wildfire. But im interested in custom rom that has croatian language support because official rom doesnt have that. I found some roms like cyanogenmod that have 50+ languages but I couldn find the list of supported languages.

The interface is not translated, but you can get locale strings in your native language. E.g. „petak“ instead of „friday“ in your Calendar app. You can see in the attached image Calendar app in Serbian.

thats no good for me. I would like find some rom that could have bosnian or croatian or serbian but in latin writing so I could give my wildfire to my dad and take his Iphone4. He doesnt know english so android is no good for him.

i need custom rom with croatian language... did u have any luck finding it yet ?
and one off-topic question: inside that htc is android version 2.2.1, does this mean i can't root phone? :/

Najbolje ti je rootat mobitel i instalirat cyanogenmod 7.1 i na njemu imas hrvatski.
Evo ti link pa ako hoces na cyanogenmod skini najnoviji file.

[Q] Android Revolution HD ARABIC PROBLEM..

I had Android Revolution HD 5.1.6 with ARABIC languge i flashed it from the second post
but
last night i flashed Android Revolution HD 5.1.7 with the partition format system that is included with the rom download ,after that i flashed the arabic support languge but its not working.
any ideas thx in advance

hi there, im persian and im using this mod for persian language with revolution latest rom.
its said its for persian and arabic both.

but i have a little problem with it which is the letters are seprated and reverse sorted in Google Applications like Reader, Gmail.

i have revolution HD with sense 3.0 , they put the arabic but when i flash it the phone doesnt boot up and stop on HTC logo . any fix?

I am having problems with Arabic with that ROM, letters are separated and displayed LTR.
If you got it to work, could you please fix the link you posted? It is not working.

hi everybody
i am writing here because i know that XDA is the only place where i can get answer for my question always about my HTC desire HD.
after installing RCMix3d Runny 3.3 and the arabic support everything work fine but i dont know why in some page the arabic is not working if i use mozilla browser for example if i open bbc arabic. is there solution for that?
and do i can install new fonts for arabic language apart from the one come with that rom?

you should reply in the rom's thread for help because i think it's a ROM problem and not a general one. Only the OP of rcmix can help you
