Well the app I linked you to will only change the time the message was received to the time on your device. The messages are marked with the carrier time by default. If you aren't getting the messages in a timely manner, that isn't a fault of the ROM, that's a problem with your network. Call your carrier and talk it over with them. The app is only going to list the messages in the order they were received based on your device time.
Ok .. i'll contact them .. Thank you .

You might want to wait more than 1.5 hours before posting posting a "?????" Rule of thimb is 24 hours minimum.

what wydeload means is... you're a ****ing idiot.
I know there are a couple of threads about this already but mine is a little different.
I got O2 XDA Orbit from ebay - put in my VodafoneUK sim card and everything works fine, MMS, GPRS, Internet and even GPS (don't know if the last one matters) - I haven't upgraded or changed any software or anything but my SMS text messages won't work - they sit in outbox for a minute or so then I get the error msg "your text message cannot be sent".
Ant help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Silly question but does the actual phone work - ie can you call out OK?
Can you receive messages?
My Orbit will receive OK but not always send in a poor signal area.
Stew,
Sorted It!!!!
To your answer sloss yes everything else works but I know what it is now.
I tried Start>Settings>Phone>Services...Voicemail and Text Messaging...select and then Get Settings........BUT it actually receives the WRONG yes the WRONG message centre number from the network.
Got a friends UK Vodafone phone and just copied his message centre number and Viola it worked fine, I'm so happy I could cry!!
Just thought this might help some others who may be having this problem.
Hello,
I've suspected for a while(and confirmed with friends) that relatively often, my sms don't get to them. It's shown as sent in my phone and in the sms threads, but they simply don't recieve them.
So I tested it out with another phone, sending 5 sms' to the other phone and it only recieved the first one. the other 4 never got there... Now could this be some sort of anti spam causing it? - I did send them in rapid succession. However when I send messages from the OTHER phone to me, regardless of how quick, I get them all. And we're on the same network/provider so that doesn't seem to be the problem.
During regular use, even SMS' sent with lots of time inbetween gets lost occassionally.
I've never had this problems with my old phone so does anyone else have a clue why this is happening? As you can imagine, it's frustrating thinking someone has gotten a message but it never reached there.
Thank you.
Sounds like this problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=522535

Hey thanks for the reply, I saw that but doubt that's the same problem.. I usually list most of my numbers with +, and it shows the message is "sent". If it was the same problem as the link above, I guess it would b epossible to reproduce it everytime but mine is seemingly more random.
The specific number I tested it on was a number WITHOUT the +areacode, and even that produced 1/5 messages recieved by the other party.
Any other ideas?
I had that problem before with my touchPro. All I did was hard reset the phone, active sync my contacts and I sent out text messages. Everything worked fine after that.

Also checked http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4016381&postcount=31 ? see if the number is still correct in windows mobile?
Also try to sent from the windows interface a couple of times (in the textmessage touchflo tab touch the new sms icon in the above right corner.) see if it does better then.

God you know what, you're right. Thanks. I did look through the WM sent folder before but not far down enough..
It does seem to drop the + after the first SMS then not reapply the + until I get a reply.
Annoyingly my phone still tells me "Message Sent" instead of invalid number though, so there's no way to tell if it sent the message without going to check the sent folder I assume?
Doesn't seem like there's a fix or even a confirmed cause for this yet?
I'm having a strange reversed problem: all SMS I send are regularly delivered, but I "miss" many incoming ones. the strage thing is that it happens (AFAIK) only with my girlfriend's ones!! nobody else still complained about me not anwering, so that should mean I received and answered all other mesages.
Please note that we have the same mobile operator (Vodafone Italy)
today she tried her SIM with her bro's phone, and guess what, the problem is still here BUT the difference is in lost messages: 4 out of five lost with her Moto v9, 2 out of 6 lost with her bro's nokia. that sounds really weird to me.
where do you think the problem might be? mine/her SIM, or phone?
I'll call Vodafone Italy later, but their assistance and support is really awful, they do not even know what they are talking about, and reply with the same pre-confectioned anwers every time.
i must say this is very annoying , not the message but the situation itself , why the message cannot be sent why? there is reception and all ..

I've noticed on my phone that if I happen to be sending a message at the same time I'm receiving one, my outgoing message usually fails. I'm not sure why this is though.
i agree , i think there is a bug hidden in this issue..
i have many good things to say on my deviice but there has to be a good reson or solution for this , to bad HTC are not recieving our complains and check this
I had always assumed it was a carrier issue. Disconnecting and reconnecting the radio always has fixed the issue for me.
may i asked how u do that ?
my solution is softreset...
is that happen with the TF messeging ?
or the Win messeging ?
casue it happened with me in the TF thread mode
and i stoped sending from that interface till a solution come up
now i send from our old good Win messege with no problem what so even
itdid happen with in the touch flow mode ,
i will try the old known and good wm mode in order to send message , and i will keep you updated.
For me it has something to do with the numbers saved in the phone. I got them all in +49 (0xxx) 1234567 format. When calling someone the phone automatically ereases the 0 and dials +49xxx1234567 - when sending messages the 0 remains in the number and I get the error. I can erease the 0 by hand and then the message is send. After that i can reply to that person using winmo messaging without ereasing the 0...
Partial solution perhaps

Hi Marc.
Don´t know if it´s the same problem but there´s an official fix that sound´s about right here:
http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=250&cat=0&dl_id=625
For some obscure reason the explaining text is in french on that site, whereas everything else is in english.
Be advised however that this fix is dated july 30. 09.
There´s a ROM-upgrade dated August 8. 09. Now i can´t be absolutely sure but if I was employed in HTC maintanance, i´d include old patches in the ROM-upgrade. Your post states your ROM version to be 1.14.111.2 and the new German version is 1.19.407.1 so you might be able to solve the issue with a ROM upgrade.
I haven´t upgraded my self. Even though there´s a Danish one provided as well. I´m waiting for the stock WinMo6,5 rom. Installing bought software, contacts, backup and everything feels like too much trouble when we´re going to have to do the whole shebang all over again in a fortnight or so.
In any case the German rom can be found here:

ELO

I've also had this occur on the TP1 and the Titan, where I was using the Windows default app.

Thanks Elo, just tried it. Seems to work only on Unbranded TP2. Mine is a T-mobile Vario V, I get an error "Incorrect Device".
I will wait for WiMo6.5 as well, I guess it will be included there. And T-mobile will provide a free update for their MDAs.
what's worse - while that error message is sat in the background, until i click it i cant receive any incoming messages (actually looks like i loose them). it cost me a fortune using it abroad, this bug! what's even worse - the tp2 rom provided by mpd is an older version to what this patch fixes, hence incorrect device. waiting for htc reply

HTC YOU HAVE A BUG!!!
(please fix it )
I've recently moved to another country for vacations (Pakistan), and ever since I've switched to my Telenor SIM here, I've had this strange problem with my problem that I have never experienced before ..
The problem is, all incoming SMS that I get, have a time stamp on them which is one hour into the future ..
So if I send out an SMS to a friend at 5:31 PM, and he replies in 3 minutes, then my mobile would say that his reply came in at 6:34 PM .. .. And then if I replied back 2 minutes later (at 5:36 PM), and he replied back another 5 minutes later (5:41 PM, but my mobile shows the incoming time as 6:41 PM), then the SMS history for this number would be shown like this, which is completely wrong !!:
5:31 PM --->
5:36 PM --->
6:34 PM <---
6:41 PM <---
where ---> means outgoing SMS, and <--- means incoming SMS ..
So because of the above problem, and as shown above, it is now difficult to tell what was the current sequence of SMS exchanges when I'm later looking at it for references purposes ..
Also, my phone's date and time thing is set to automatic, so that the network (Telenor) provides the current time to my phone, and this is correct ..
I have an Android phone which I recently rooted, but even after rooting and resetting the OS in my phone (HTC Desire Z ~ Android), the problem remains .. I first thought that maybe I've screwed some settings up, but this is obviously not it now ..
Does anybody have any idea where the problem might be originating from ?

i had this problem too. just download sms time fix from the android market
Before you go ahead with SMS Timefix, have you tried disabling "Automatic" in Date and Time settings to see if that made any difference?
