[Q] Electron Animations - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am just curious, will the screen on/ off animation from Gingerbread ever be compatible with Spare Part's window/ transition animation speed options, apart from the "normal" setting?

I'm running cm7 and the answer is yes and thank you it looks much better on very slow

Smooth display fade in/out

Hi there,
when I used the CyanogenMod ROM there was a nice and smooth fade in and fade out of the display. It means: When I turn on the display, the brightness increases smooth, not suddenly in a hard step. The same when I turn off the display: The brightness reduce smooth and slowly.
Now I am using another ROM with HTC Sense. I really miss that smooth fade in/out of my display. Is it possible to get this feature also in other ROMS?
Thank you for your help
Sense HD-based ROMs have the transitions but not 'stock' Sense-based ROMs...seems HTC disabled the animations. You could use LauncherPro if you want them back
Thanks for your reply.
But I don't mean the transitions. I have transitions (means animations when start/close apps for example). But I don't mean these animations. I mean smooth change of the brightness of the display when you turn it on or off.

[Q] Rotation transition effect

is there a way that i can change the rotation transition like iphone
good question?????????????????
Try asking in Q&A this is development..
And yes you can.
TrOjAn
LauncherPro can do this.
Perhaps some other lauchers too?
Hes talking about icons, not the whole screen.

How about this?

The OP wants to animations for AUTO ROTATION.
When you turn your screen to landscape view and back.
have somebody found something about that? i'm realy intrested.
Ups, must have missed that.
Yeah, I miss that, too. Android is choppy enough the way it is - even on a spec beast like the SGS. The missing rotation animation doesn't make things better either...
Hes talking about when you turn the phone to portrait and landscape.
SGS just changes with no animation, where as the iphone has an actual animation where you can see the screen turn.
Would be awesome to have that on the SGS
think android 1.5 or 1.6 got that animantion... can we/anyone port it?
any idea how?
Please someone......id try for it myself but im no good at coding at all .......auto rotation transition on androids suck bells......soo id appreciate if some kind soul took some time and figure this thing out ....booyaa

Why no CRT On animation?

Just curious but why do non of the ROMs beside CM7 come with CRT on animation? They only come with the CRT OFF animation.
I haven't used any of the stock-based GB ROMs, but I read somewhere that TouchWiz 3.2 changed up some of the stock GB animations, namely A) the overscroll is blue instead of orange, and B) there is no "CRT On" animation. The stock-based ROMs inherit the TouchWiz 3.2 behavior.
CM7 is based on pure AOSP, with very little TouchWiz 3.2 (according to jt1134 they have to use some TouchWiz), thus it inherits the original GB animation behavior, i.e., A) overscroll is orange, and B) optional "CRT On/Off" animations.
Is there somewhere you have to enable screen off animations?

I loved THE CRT animation on my evo.

Lack of demand?
I had always presumed that there simply was no big demand for CRT-on animations. I used a ROM with it available but chose to turn it off (naturally, I kept the CRT-off on though!).
Cool animations are spiff for when your putting your device away, but when I want to pop into my Epic and check traffic.com for traffic conditions at the last second [at already sluggish data speeds] before whizzing by an alternate highway route, I'm not likely to be quite as appreciative of a short anim. sequence getting in the way as I am when I don't have any immediate need for the device.
I think people generally want to be able it get into their phones as fast as possible.

No such mod is available for the One X (yet).
What's the status on this today? I remember the first pre-alphas with CM actually had it but it was buggy as I remember (or did they ever have it?). Would be awesome to see this come to the OneX!
+1
I loved seeing this on my LG Optimus 2X with CM7!

[Q] bounce transition effect

I'm pretty sure that many of you are familiar with the app called "XuiMod" and the ListView animations. I am using the app and i love it. My listview animation is Scale and the listview interpolator is Bounce.
My problem is: i really like the bounce effect but it only works when scrolling up and down, i was wondering if you could make a way for the effect to work when scrolling left and right. I heard that you made the Kitkat Launcher, so could you add the effect to 'Drawer->Transition Effect"?
I would be very pleased and happy if you could find a way to make that effect possible.
Running on Nexus 5, if that plays any important role in this.
Even if you dont make it exactly like the effect in XuiMod, i would like a Bounce effect.
PS. English is not my national language so mind the mistakes if there are any.
