I have seen a Linux directory on your ftp site and I have downloaded two files:
OPIE.ba-uni.tar.bz2 (seems a coplete Linux filesystem)
zi (data file undiscovered)
I have a good emulator that work fine with wm2003 and wm2005 roms, but works only with .bin and .nb0 files! Now, if possible, how I do to create
a .bin files from the files OPIE.ba-uni.tar.bz2 and zi?? More generally, how I can create .bin/rom files?
I'm a happy Linux(Slackware) user from 1995 and I use Linux everywhere is possible ...I hope which one day Linux become a reality in the pocket pc world!
Any help will be very appreciated!

Hi guys,
Hope you guys can shine some light here. I have successfully managed to dump my ROM (used Testdump) and have also managed to extract it. The weird part is that of the whole 128MB dump only 2Mb extract.
I have a Mio P550 with MW 5.0.
I appreciate any pointers, thankx

Testdump is like the grab it program, only you launch it manually. I just wanted to dump the ROM and be able to extract it to see how its made.
My next step would have been to learn how to make an .nb0 file with it.

i have a little problem:
when I use "Directory("\Windows\Test"):-File("x.lnk","\Windows\x.lnk")" in "initflashfiles.txt", the ROM copies the file from the Windows-Directory to the Test-Directory.
But I wouldn't have the x.lnk in the Windows-Directory, only in Test.
How can I make it work?

ive allready been posting this question ,but somehow my thread got lost.
I´m wondering how i can dump the content from the m8 xip.bin.
I´ve been trying with the tools from the wiki like xipport etc. but it did not do the tric, it always gave an error.
I guess it will be because it is wince 6 instead of win ce/mobile 5.
Does anyone have any hints how to extract this contents?

In the WWE Rom I flashed recently, I missed the file eT9.Rhodium.040C.kmap.txt (which can customize the French hardware keyboard). This file is in the WIndows folder of most WWE Roms. Could someone please upload it or sent it to me ?

hello,
after installing last energy rom (thanks to him btw), it seems that it delete every non QWERTY "eT9.Rhodium.xxxx.kmap.txt" files
so i searched, found this thread and tried to delete the existing file and replace it with this one.
doesn't work..i'm unable to delete it
even if my reg key is set this way:
"07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.wwe.kmap.txt" to "07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.0409.kmap.txt
in order to be "sure" that it's not opened ..
so my question how/why can't i delete this file ? someone has a clue ?
edit : well i tried editing the file : no way it's read only...
now i'm clueless, how did u guy's achieve changing it ? editing the rom or something ?
anyone got an idea on this ?
