UNlocking using Turbosim - Defy General

Hello
Has anybody used Turbo Sim to unlock Motorola Defy Phones? Does it work?
Srinivas

Most probably it wont. Only way is to enter unlock codes sold either by company itself or from third party vendors.

Simlock or Netlock?

Hi, I'm using a custom rooted rom on my defy. (cm7)
My defy comes with T-mobile Germany contract...
Since I want to use a prepaid "blau.de" simcard for usb-thetering I wondered if there could be a sim- or netlock on my defy.
I haven't found a post on simlock for defy so far. Has someone experiences with defy from t-mobile germany with other simcards? Our is there a way of unlocking if it has a lock?

you can try this guy @ ebay Here
he have generated my code within 15 mins only, mine was locked on tmobile.us
As far as I know, the only carrier with a simlock or a netlock for the Defy is T-Mobile US. You won't get any German Defy with some sort of lock. All you might experience is some sort of software branding.
Thanks so far. Do I'll buy a prepaid card tomorrow and give it a try.

If you have a code where you enter it

most GN are not locked. Try another sim from a different provider and it should ask you for a code. If not, its not locked!

[Q] If I unlock my SIM does that unlock my bootloader?

The title says it all
I didn't see any good anwsers at the forum, so I thougt that I'd just ask =)
So if I pay a sum of money, to unlock my SIM. Does that unlock my bootloader aswell?
No. Officially only sim-free phones can be unlocked(e.g. if you buy it sim-free or if it's on contract with some providers) but there are ways round it. Don't know myself, mines was sim-free, but there's a few threads...

Depends how you sim unlock...
If you unlock by IMEI then no!
If you unlock with setool remotely then yes. (and will also enable fastboot)
Other programs like octupus sim unlock but do not unlock the bootloader so make sure you know what you are getting before you part with money
Jinx13
Contact jinx13 I did with similar locked phone, he will unlock it and bootloader using test point method and se tool remotely
Doh just seen jinx is here

[Q] Sim unlock Xperia M

Is ther a way to unlock my xperia M from my carrier?
tnx!!!
Sorry, but you can't unlock it yourself, even, when you have root. Mine one had simlock too, only Carrier, where you bought phone can unlock it. I called Orange to remove simlock, and after hour later I got the code, but this thing was really expensive. Why they're locking phones?!
they lock them as an insurance so you have to use their network its all about money as either way you have to pay to get it unlocked from a carrier

[Q] Can the ATT model be flashed and turned into an unlocked version?

Sorry, I am a noob.
I am being offered the AT&T model for a very good price (about $200 less than the unlocked model). The issue is - I would like to:
1. run the non-bloat version
2. use it overseas.
So my question is - is this even possible with root and ROM? Or is there a hardware differance?
Thank you!!
Sorry but no. there is a temporary root but not possible to flash different rom yet.
Why not just pay for an unlock code from an unlocking service online? I've seen several people on here comparing the services.

They are 2 different things.
I know the difference between bootloaders being locked, and a phone being Sim locked. He said he wanted to use it overseas. All that requires is removing the Sim lock so that any Sim card would work in it. Purchase a code. Done.
