I found a way of changing the background of Settings and Programs. Instead of White, it's Black.
It was talked about on the Hacking Thread and I thought you guys might be interested - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343175[

Here's a few pics just to show you. Use UI Tweaker to change the colors of almost any part of your device.
Ah crap ... here are some better pictures
it looks nice but i think it s going to be harder to read things... maybe it saves some battery?
yeah, those are screenshots of my theme i believe. well, the posted thread is about my system color scheme, anyway. i do agree that some small parts of WM are a little difficult to read (eg black on gray) so the scheme isn't 100% perfect. i'm just working on it as a sort of visual refresher to people that are tired of the bright white that is used in much of the windows mobile interface. it's easy to try and reset in case anyone wants to give it a test run; i'd appreciate more people looking around and finding coloring areas i need to fix, since i can't go through the whole WM interface by myself.

Could you create Purple that goes with Scaps. It would be fantastic
i will certainly put one together for you. keep a watch on the thread that was posted in the initial post of this thread, i'll update there.
Hello,
I'm a starting devolper, i tried to install visual studio and the sdk's ect, but im stuck in a huge reducantion hell. but that aside.
I wourld realy like if someone is able to make me this application.
i want a simple application with 2 number input filelds (i would prefer if you use the sense sdk)
and the deafault value of both sould be 20, en max to 50, and min to 0.
I wourld realy like it if it has a scrolling function for the input.
it doesent have to do anything with the number.
for example of what i would like it to look like see atatchment
Hmmm,simple to do that.
May I have a question for what purpose do you need that?

For a game, Magic the Gathering. I would realy apriciate it if you made it
I can try to do something, but in different, bit simplier design first of all.
Scrolling or up/down controls?
Please describe better your requests, what exactly you want.
Well its realy easy to make, just ust the sense sdk, in the link upside, and it will graphicaly look right.
so that you can easly go up or down several numbers. so you can scroll it, it's nececairly
I could do that just using native code(I have knowledges just with Embedded Visual C++). I have no experiences with Sense SDK. Will be it hope enough. A will give a look at it within few hours.
Here we go.
Please check out this demo and let me know,if the scrolling is OK.
Exit from the app is by tapping area below 400pixels.
testing it now
---edit-----
works like a charm but a question can you make one box next to it, and some sort of line in the middle, so that you can see what value it has and maybe move it a bit away from the corner.
TYVM
Of course.
This is just a scrolling test. I started to develop it from zero.
Can you paint some layout you like?
The first one is how it curently looks the second one is what i like it to look like
Just so simple?
Sorry,I can't share it with this design
I will prepare something more clever okay?
sure, or jou could make it like this screenshot i posted in front. XD
---edit----
like the second one only bigger, and much longer
---edit----
look what i found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=701177
Btw,what a device you are using?
This link you posted for my imagine of the design or did you found what you want?
i found what i wanted, thankyou very much
OK,no problem. However I'll finish that,maybe you'll like it.
Working on this design...
Tahts way better bit i dislike the brown, can you use red perhaps?, and i dont think its quite the resolution of my phone. i'v got the hd2
Well,little bit busy at work...
However I thought, you found your needs,so I start focusing on another things.
I can spend some time with further development...
I have no idea how to write or develop apps or anything but I had an idea I thought would be cool if someone could develop it. I have tried the new windows 7 phone and think the idea of looking quick to see everything is a great idea. I'm a car guy and think working gauges and graphs would be cool to use instead of the boxes. There could be gauges or graphs that show: 1) Battery Level 2) Memory for RAM, ROM and SD Card 3) How much the Processor is working 4) Missed Calls 5) Emails 6) Messages 7) Wi-Fi signal or whatever else. I have looked and found 2 apps that had a few of these together but they looked a bit simple, and there are a few out there for the battery. I thought it would be nice to see these on one page for a quick look to see whats going on. I'm not sure if it would work with android having different pages like it does or even if it's possible. It's just an idea I liked and thought others might also. I know I would pay a little something for it if it worked and looked good. If there is something out there I missed or someone does this give me a private message, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks

So like... What phone are you using currently?
There is an app called eRay, I'm not sure if it is on the marketplace or not but I have used it and it works well for this. Very nice graphical statistics. Do a google search to see if you can find it.
Today we are announcing the public beta of the new "2013" theme for the XDA forums. This theme is in active development, though for the most part it should be suitable for daily use. You can access it via the "Style Chooser" in the bottom left corner of most pages.
Please note: this theme is not bug free. It's possible that you will notice some funky behavior while using it.
Some of the primary benefits/features:
When we finish optimizing, it will be significantly faster than the existing "XDA 2010" theme.
Optimized for displays 1280 width screen resolution
We've added a sidebar to update you on PMs and subscribed threads/forums. This is collapsible for users when reading threads.
Tabbed home page which will default to showing your subscriptions to give you easy-access to the forums you care about most.
Enhanced device information pages (for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1533) that will show specs and root instructions for some devices.
Plus many other little additions and improvements.
Most of the user-facing changes are cosmetic. We created XDA 2013 as a platform for much more significant enhancements to the site, which will be rolling out over the next few months.
Please use this thread to post your comments and suggestions. If you have bugs to report, please post your thoughts in this thread.
Thank you for your help!
Just wondering, is there a place where we users can send in our device's info, so that the people working on it won't have so much work?
Cheers for all the effort put into it! Looks awesome!
Use it sice a week and its very fast. the only problem is the thanks-expand-arrow, he is too wide away from the text
Admin Edit: I made the "expand" text clickable also. - js1999
Edit: Thanks Admin
Awesome loving the new refreshed look of the site
just a suggestion.
The "online" symbol should be more green as currently difference between offline(black) and online(green) is very less noticeable
I really hate that there is so much crammed everyhwere, the right side portal stories are annoying, if I want portal stories I click on "portal"
I think the 2010 version is better, some of the fonts are cooler on the 2013 version but there is just way too much crammed on the screen at once.
sweet, trying it now.
This is defiantly different, looks clean, futuristic. I like it, will take sometime for my eyes to adjust to it tho.

You can close the sidebar if you don't really like it.
So far, the only thing I don't really like about this is the fact that if you click on a device (e.g. the HD2) all of the subforums appear. I understand that outside of the HD2 this won't be a major problem, but it still looks a bit clunky. Also, on normal zoom (i.e. I've pressed ctrl+0) I get a scroll bar thing along the bottom? Seems a bit odd, probably just a little glitch. Don't have it outside of when I'm replying though.
Needs are darker font system wide. Post_bit fonts are too light. That's the only thing that I see that I would change at this point.
But, that's just the VBulletin Admin in me coming out. LOL.

I like the look but would like the ability to collapse the sidebar.

It's up the top right in the forum view too.
I think he meant the Forum Home view. There is no choice to collapse it on the main All Forums page.
Hmm I must not be special enough to get that option yet .
How about an inverted/dark/black theme for AMOLED devices when people don't use Tapatalk?
Oh my, this is quite nice.
The new theme is kinda awesome
But the page goes out of my screen so i have scroll a lil bit ... !!
Can we maybe have an option to only remove the portal posts from the side bar but instead display ALL messages and subscribed threads / fora?
Because clicking on "View all messages" takes you to the PM page. I'd rather have them in that list (best would be if it takes as much place as available ) (same for threads and fora)
if possible remove xda portal sidebar......if other guys agrees on it
Hi,
does somebody know if it is possible to access the "LED stripe on the top edge of the back panel"?
I mean is it possible to access it with software to do some fancy color hack modding...?

It might be, but development for the Pixel C has been @randomblame and @cheep5k8, both of whom are quite busy. The former is tricking out his new old ride, while working long hours, last I heard, and the latter is mad busy with work and adding a bunch of stuff to his kernel.
Edit: If I left anyone out, I sincerely apologize!
Based on what @cheep5k8 said in this post, It sounds like the light strip is not controlled in the android software at all, and would require a lower level hack. Definitely not saying it can't be done, but probably WAY more work than it is worth.
I'd just like a way to disable it altogether. It is super bright when I pick up the tablet in the morning and disturbs the wife.

Doesn't appear that it's possible. For more information see posts #179 to 182 here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/pix...nicorns-6-0-1-dragon-05-05-16-t3372823/page18
