After 15 min. of inspecting logs i found fix for USB Mass Storage on Gingerbread builds. They changed some interfaces in volume manager (vold), so i prepared fixed version of vold.
Usage: BACKUP /system/bin/vold
copy fixed vold to /system/bin/
(adb push vold /system/bin )
- also check file permissions after pushing (best to set 777)
if your system is mounted as ro remount it by: mount -o remount,rw /system
EDIT: Forgot to mention to reboot phone after changing vold
USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!
IF U HAVE SOME PROBLEMS WITH THIS VOLD JUST REPLACE IT WITH BACKUP U MADE (u made backup, right ? )

A little question, I can't rename or remove the original vold file.
Has it to do with permissions ?
Does all this mean that at some point we may see a Dan1j3l produced nand rom??

As it's running 2.1, it means you can install all the latest Google goodies and software that was not compatibl with 1.5. Goggles, maps with buzz , gogole translate with voice etc
Oh, and also - open your home screen with the large clock/weather widget and wait some 5 seconds and see what happens. Took me almost 24 hours of uisng these new roms to notice.

I haven't downloaded this ROM, but the root problem with the initial BeHero (and Villain seeing as that's based on BeHero) was the su file file was in the xbin folder and could not have the correct permissions.
This was resolved by moving it into system/bin and setting the permissions on it there. I did the same for sqlite3 too in my ROM.
I'm guessing (and this is pure speculation) that by trying to clean the ROM Lox has moved the su file back into system/xbin then installed the ROM without formatting his ext partition This would install fine on a Hero that already has root permissions, and maintain its root capabilities, but on one with a wipe the root permissions would disappear.
google earth work ??

is this something we can do ourselves after flashing it or does it have to be done by the rom cook?
as I don't see remounting happening without root.

For the amount of people needing the fix it would be better if the ROM cook provided the fix.
I could modify the ROM for you but I think that would be offensive to Lox so I won't. You could do it yourself using dsxida's kitchen - it's pretty straightforward. Might need some extra (FREE) software on Windows, but works out the box on OSX or Linux.
You'd have to move that file. Find:
set_perm 0 0 06755 SYSTEM:xbin/su in the update-script
replace with
set_perm 0 0 06755 SYSTEM:bin/su
And then cook the ROM again. Job's a good 'un!

This is NOT a flashable zip file.
It is a file collections for ROM Dev.
This is Dump slimdizzy gave us,

credits for porting it and make it work goes to slimdizzy, thanx man!
He made a dump of the device but would like some help to make sure no personal elements are left since the device was being used as a daily use phone. The dump is about 300MB big. All he did was put busybox into /data/local, chmod it to 755 and then tar'ed the /system directory.

Uhh...well, you'd need to unpack the system directory, place it all in an update zip, write an update script (or updater-script w/ update binary), sign it, and flash it. It will not work on any devices though without some (or a TON) of modification.
Good luck.

Sense 2.0, NOT 2.1 as of yet
ALL PROPS GO TO exidler for this MOD
So i searched and searched only to find one DSP Manager for Sense that worked for me --> DSP-DHD
It works flawlessly but it uses Amend scripts.
I have managed to use this tool Amend2Edify to convert them to Edify scripts.
They work flawlessly.
I don't use Stereo Bluetooth headsets so I unfortunately am unknown as to whether or not this problem is persistent.
Tested on;
Orange Sense v.1.0
Royal Thunder v1.2
Royal Thunder v.2.0
Stock MySense
All what you do, you doing on own risk, I'm not responsible for any damage!
2.0
Backup libaudioflinger.so and libaudio.so from /system/lib/ before continue
This patch will break dolby and srs features of preinstalled music player
2010.11.29 This patch also breaks working of stereo bluetooth headset, but in in call bluetooth headset works well
I am NOT the developer of this, Just simply sharing my knowledge with all others who's speaker is also messing up.
Anyone else willing to Attempt this, Share your results!
BTW I am also willing to convert other scripts if you'd like.
Thanks.
- Install patch using Recovery
Download DSPManager.zip
Copy it to phones sdcard
Reboot to recovery
Wipe Both Caches and apply this update.
**If you receive a 'Signature Verification Failed' error just disable Signature Check.
- Uninstall manually (using adb) * you must have S-OFF with ENG HBOOT
Connect phone to computer using usb
Open adb shell (run adb shell)
Remount system as read write (run in shell 'mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 /system')
Then you need copy to /system/lib/ on phone backuped files libaudioflinger.so and libaudio.so.
If you backuped it on computer, then locate they and in backup folder run
#adb push libaudio.so /system/lib/
#adb push libaudioflinger.so /system/lib/
if you backuped files on sdcard, then from adb shell run commands
cp libaudio.so /system/lib/
cp libaudioflinger.so /system/lib/
rm /system/app/DSPManager-DHD.apk
then reboot your phone
If this has helped, all that I ask is that you hit the Thanks button here and over Here THE OP.
Thanks alot. I have been waiting on this for a while.

Dude his base cm9, cm10 kernel won't even boot. Yes those files should fix it. I'm running cm9 with no probs
So any success there? Dying to try this ROM, but Wi-Fi is needed
@ OP, What device did you port from?
I don't know if it's because I'm CDMA, but I had Phone FC's, Browser FC's, and some other random app from time to time. Also, I couldn't get text messages.
I tried to fix WiFi, but I didn't have time to test and flash back to back. WiFi turned on, off, on, and so on.
Other than that, pretty snappy. Nice Job~

Hi, here is tool for making flashable zip in few commands! No need root! In few commands your rom is ready for sharing or flashing with CMW ! You can dump any rom! NOTE: all your rom changes which is in your phone will be included in rom.zip (for example busybox, su...etc)! Tool will be usefull for dumping next Sony stock rom, but allso all rom is supported! Enjoy!
For no rooted devices:
adb push romgen /data/local/tmp/
adb shell
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 755 romgen
Code:
./romgen C6903 honami /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/byname/userdata /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache [COLOR="Red"]/dev/null[/COLOR] /storage/removable/sdcard1/rom.zip
/dev/null must be used as a boot partition since no rooted devices have no access to these device!
For rooted devices:
adb push romgen /data/local/tmp/
adb shell
su
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 755 romgen
Code:
./romgen C6903 honami /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/byname/userdata /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache [COLOR="Red"]/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot[/COLOR] /storage/removable/sdcard1/rom.zip

Yesterday I noticed bug There is bug when folder is empty or when symlink is inside folder but there no other files! So when tool generate zip these folder is missing in zip but updater-script have line "set perm to folder" which not exist, so installation aborting because a missing folder Will try to solve them soon! Do not flash generated zip since you will get boot loop (you can only if you add missing folders to zip)! I will make new version soon, hope clean!
New version is out! Hope all bugs solved! Bug is solved by creating empty file .placeholder to all existing folders so zip for sure now have all mised folders, than placeholders is auto removed at finish of the installation
I am hope eerything is right now, but I will test and let you know if generated zip is installable with sucess!
New working version finaly, sorry! Now I tested tool and found another 2 bugs, first one was "zip fail to store file which contain special characters like *()...etc", and seccond one was wrong format of the permssions in updater-scrip. Now all things is solved, I have tested tool, tried to install generated zip, installed zip, and bum. Everything is ok now, enjoy!

What do I need to do to the updater script? I tried replacing the mount system bit with;
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/system");
package_extract_dir("system", "/system");
but I had no luck.
Probably you pased bad command to the romgen since you say /devices/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host !!! Double check first post before you going to generate zip! Or probably you using an bad cwm which have bad fstab! If no of these 2 simptoms is true than for sure you have modified updater-script by your own way which probably is not ok! Hope this help.
