Also interesting for me!
Can nobody help? :-(
The xml file which is related with the volume bar is called "progress_horizontal" and stored in the folder "drawable" of the framework-res.apk.this file also manages the color of the download progress bar.

is there a way to set the home button to toggle (hide/unhide) the statusbar? it would be nice to just press the home button and hide/unhide the statusbar.
That would be a great mod!

maybe our developers in xda can try working on this. it would be a big help to get fullscreen when we want to by just simply pressing the home button.
now that we have root the old method should be doable?

Update's regarding this topic?
GestureControl Lite root works in ICS.
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone can whip up a quick recovery zip file that will return my pulldown background to blank. I'm running AOKP JB build 1 and the theme I'm using puts a logo on the background. I like to put my own image there (which AOKP allows) but leave the alpha turned down so it's semi transparent. But with my own image semi-transparent, the logo for the theme shows through.
Thanks in advance!
you could edit the theme and remove this picture.?

I was wondering if there was a way to change the lockscreen lock icon? If so is there a post already with already made icons?
Check under themes. There is a thread with tons of lock rings
Open framework-res.apk with something like WINRAR, check it out, you will know

Would it be possible to mod the navbar and add a quick access button for applications?
I mean the button will show a top dropdown menu with some applications, like this we can access them quickly instead of returning in home and launch the drawer?

there is a free app called "notification toggle". Try it!
