Hi,
I tried to search but i couldn't find it. I bought an American HTC Desire. But I want the dutch version of android on my phone. Because of the word prediction.
I don't want to put a custom rom on my phone. keep it totally original. Only change the language. Is that possible? How do i do this?
Thnx.
You could use this keyboard. It has dutch language included.

What is wrong with settings- language and keyboard- Nederlands?

Just bought a new DESIRE A8181 at FNAC in Bruxelles yesterday. In Belgium everyone uses AZERTY kbd. The new Desire comes with a QWERTY kbd. How do I swap from Qwerty to Azerty? Thanks.
Charles.
Try HTC_IME mod, it had AZERTY IIRC

I think it doesn't.. I believe HTC_IME mod only offers QWERTY, compacat QWERTY and phonepad
I finally found that the problem is solved by HTC. On my Qwerty kbd there is a Key to swap to Azerty on the left of the space bar.
Cheers.
Charles
Hello this might be a stupid Q!

Or is there (danish in my case) in "all" the roms ?

About which keyboards from which android versions are you talking about?

You can allways download the gingerbread keyboard (by Steven Lin) from the market and use that as your input method. It`s my preffered keyboard.

You are using Desire HD? Then you are in the wrong section
But to answer your question, I assume that the original keyboard you are referring to is the one that came with the phone when you bought it right? That is the HTC IME keyboard.
Seach for HTC IME keyboard on the forums. There is a thread for it and you can even customize the looks if you want.
The keyboard that's on the CM7 rom is actually the official android keyboard.
Thanks guys appreciate it

Attached is an official (flashable zip) for the Arabic keyboard for the HTC One X, this is for the Ice Cream Sandwich Rom versions.
I hope if this can be also ported as well by someone to work for the Jelly Bean Rom versions so HOX Arabic users can enjoy using Arabic typing in their phones.
Thanks. But i hope htc release persian or arabic language for its stock keyboard.
Because this is not stock keyboard.its ParfieldIme which htc is using it for arabic or persian users. Its not as good as stock keyboard

Since I had my Original desire HTC never released an official keyboard, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

HTC has been using Parfield since the days of WM!
Although, during WM6.0/6.1/6.5 days, some devs where able to port Arabic language to HTC's stock keyboard. Hoped someone would do it with HTC's Android keyboard, but still none.
Though lately, I found A.I.type Keyboard Free to be very good with Arabic support and the default theme reminds me of HTC's before they started using the black themes for the Keyboard.

Wow. Thanks alot.
I installed A.I.type Keyboard, it has so many features, and touch responsibility is better than smart keyboard pro.

Hi all, I wonder if it is possible to add Custom language input to stock Xperia keyboard I mean, there is not Georgian in the list and I would like to add it, in AOSP rom Georgian language exists but I'm on Official rom it doesnt. I saw almost same topics but didn't find anything.
