First and foremost, you need to give a little more information on your phone. Are you rooted? Are you running a custom ROM? What did you have to "fix" that was broke?

My Evo is like new, I havent change anything, Its working as OTB......
Thanks for your comments

I guess not! Chances are there's a physical problem with your phone, so I'd send it back if I were you.
Of course, this also assumes you haven't done something silly like set the phone to divert all calls to voicemail, or installed an app that does something similar.
Regards,
Dave
thanks Dave!
I havent done anything you mentioned above, and believe it or not this is the second replacement, thats why i though it was an Orange problem. i think im gonna give up on the desire if i cant find a solution soon. cant keep missing calls.
thanks for your help dude, nice to know i wasnt benig ignored

mikmarket not working

OK.. another plea for help!
I flashed MikFroyo 4.5. It was easier than I thought!
I didn't flash a new Kernel though.. I'm sticking with the stock one (for now)
OK.. my new problem is that I can't get MikMarket to work right.
I've found some solutions that I've tried and nothing's really nailing it down for me.
I'm getting a network error from mikmarket, facebook, ymail, twitter, etc..
I am connected to my wifi network and I can't for the life of me find any answers.
Anybody have any ideas??
After more tinkering.. I turned OFF my wi-fi, and began downloading via the sprint airwaves... everything works.
I mean everything! So I'm downloading my apps while it's working then I'll turn on wi-fi after!
If this is a quirk.. I can live with it!
Been also downloading apps from market website..

Do you have any data working at all?! It sounds like you don't. Does the same thing happen if you connect to 3g or 4g, instead of the wifi network you're using? I'm not too familiar with Mik's roms, so I'm not sure if there are any known issues or fixes with it. I'd also update your profile and prl, if you haven't already, althouth that shouldn't affect anything when on wifi anyways, but it's still a good idea after flashing a new rom. Did you do a full wipe before flashing the rom? Try doing a battery pull?
My MikMarket isn't working either...sort of.
It changed the name of the app to "Market" and doesn't have the skin anymore. Just looks like the stock one. But it does function perfectly fine. I don't know what could have cause that though.
my mikmarket is not working either
sometime during dinner my phone gave me a error message. and both facebook and market stopped workin and deleted it. cant seem to get it up and running.
I started installing my apps via market.android.com
I had my wifi on and apps were getting pushed onto my evo. everything worked, and quickly.
I turned off the wifi, and forced 3G mode to do the transferring. It responded and quite fast too.
I tried mikmarket again and it started to work, I downloaded a few apps and then I started to get force closing.
Nothing seemed to want to work, so I put the phone back on the charger, went to bed. next morning.. mikmarket is gone, it's now Market.
Everything looked like it used to in Market.
And.. everything started to work. Market cooperated, wi-fi cooperates with market and internet, and so far everything seems to be meshing together.
I want to say it's because i let it synchronize overnite and everything meshed.
I did do the battery pull, pri/prl updating as well. I dunno if it helped or not.
But I like the MikFroyo and am so glad I took the plunge.. not like I didn't have a choice.. my 2.1 was starting to make life difficult!
I tried cyanogen 7 and it looked awesome! my problem with it was for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to get it sync with my gmail contacts.
If I would've been able to find it.. I might've stuck with it..

The market auto-updates. I've heard you can freeze or delete "market updater", but then you don't have whatever new features, fixes, or security enhancements they've pushed out in the new market. Maybe that's ok, maybe not. I'd rather have the latest than have the theme.

[Q] Mobile Internet not working at all anymore!

Hi guys
i have a big problem i would be realy to get some help with.
I have the problem at the moment with Lords ICS Beta 1.5. But i decided to post it here couse i dont want to spam his thread and i dont have the problem only with his rom. Returning back to CM 7.1 dident fix the Problem eather.
I just cant get any mobile internet and cant send and receve any MMS. I do have reception. Calling and SMS is working fine.
Im tryeing to fix this since more then a week, so i want to tell you what i tried already:
Flashing diffrent verions of Lords Rom. Beta 1.1 till 1.5.
Flashing Lords newest Kernel.
Checking the APN settings several times.
Several full wipes.
Tryeing a diffrent SIM Card from the same carryer.
Flashing a new Radio.
Dial *#*#4636#*#*, to change the prefered network type.
Does anybody has an idea what could be the problem? Any more ideas what i could try to fix this? Could this be a hardware problem?
I realy hope somebody can help me. My Desire HD is kind of not usabal like that.
Thanks guys.
Hi
Do you have enable the 2G/3G button in Notification widget? Try to disable it or verify with every Network mode. You can set it in Settings > Interface/System > Notification bar > Buttons widget (end of the list)
Other idea: try to check 2G only in Mobile Network settings.

No i dident had that turned on. I just did turn it on to try the diffrent modes.
The 2G only mode did work in the beginning. For around a day when i was on LorDs Beta 1.2. but then it stoped working. In the beginning it did also once help to make a simpe reboot. But now since around a week, those two things dont work anymore
I realy dont get it...
I really can't understand why Internet doesn't work for you. Seems that you've tried all possible ways.
And you have no problem with Wifi?
Maybe a last suggestion: fix permissions in recovery. It could help for issues with applications, why not for issue with network.
I did try the fixing permissions thing. Dident work eather BUt thanks anyway.
The WIFI works without any problems.
I realy dont understand it eather. Do you think this could be a hardware problem? I dont understand how it could be one, couse i do have network, can make phonecalls and wright sms. Is there diffrent hardware for the mobile internet and normal calls?

Different hardware...? to technical for me, sorry
With Orange, I've had issues with MMS years ago. The problem was:
1. Orange had change their settings
2. My SIM card was too old.
I get a new SIM card and insert the new settings and all was ok.
But, I've another question: Did you try to flash another rom, but not ICS to see if Data Network works or not (RCMix3d for ex.).
I thought about the simcard to. I tried an other one from sunrise to yesterday. I dident work eather. That sim is working with a galaxy ace with no problem but not with my desire HD
I did flash Cyanogen Mod 7.1 yesterday. No mobile internet to..... so strange

True, it's very strange. Your test with galaxy ace prove that the SIM card works, it's not the problem. But Galaxy ace is with ICS or a previous version of Android?
Maybe try to post on Sunrise threads to see if someone else have Network issues with ICS.
Seams to be fixed. Realy still realy strange.
I tried a third Sunrise Simcard. This one is working. Mine and the one of my mum werent working, but the one of a friend of mine does.
Go to sunrise shop now and get a new one. Hope will be working to.
Thanks for the help.

His sim card was old. When he exchanged it, everything worked out for him.
I hope yours will too! Good luck!
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

whatsapp messages delayed. pleasseee help

i have searched every possible threads and browsed Google for hours to find for a solution. but i couldn't find any. i have a stable WiFi connection, yet, my whatsapp messages are delayed.( they are not delayed if i am using mobile data). if i send a msg now it takes forever to send it.moreover if someone send me a messsage , i receive it lately, probable 3,4 messages together. i have also noticed that my WiFi do not stay active when i use whatsapp.probably this is the reason my messages do not get sent instantly. the two small arrows in the WiFi bars disappears.which means data are not being sent or received.i have to open the play store or browse the internet to make the connection active. why is it that when i use whatsapp the WiFi connection becomes inactive but when i browse,WiFi is healthy? is there any way that i can force WiFi to stay active and connected when i am using whatsapp?or is it possible to increase the priority of whatsapp to use the max WiFi strength just like browsers and play-store? i really can don't care about battery if i can use whatsapp properly.is there any modded whatsapp apk which can force max wifi to stay active etc etc... i am really frustrated. any help is highly appreciated.
p.s: i have changed kernels, from Franco to trinity than Franco again, unchecked "avoid poor WiFi connections", set WiFi sleep policy to "never"
Sounds more like a problem with your WIFI router then the phone itself. Have you tried to reboot your router?
WIFI High performance widget might help you to keep the WIFI alive when screen off.

Did you tweak the Wifi parameters with your custom kernels (low latency mode)? Have you tried flashing back stock kernel to see if that fixes the issue?
not yet. but my question is if the wifi network was the problem then my brothers htc one x running ics and galaxy tab running gingerbread should also face this problem in whatsapp, ryt? but they dont.is it the rom i am using?do u think getting back to stock might help? any recommendations? i love xenon
I know exactly what you're talking about because I experience it as well. It doesn't matter what ROM, (stock, CM10, PA etc) kernel, (stock, Franco, Trinity etc) or what WiFi network I'm on (work, home, coffee shop etc) but whenever I'm on WiFi my messages in WhatsApp are delayed when the application isn't open. I've basically concluded it's the app itself that has a problem with WiFi. I have no fix, I just keep hoping that the next update will fix it.
The developer website isn't very helpful either. Basically suggesting not to use WiFi if the other fixes they suggest don't work.

No idea unfortunately
I know it was running fine for me on ICS, but I noticed it changed after JB. I run the version of WhatsApp offered directly from the website which I think is different from the Play Store, so I don't know if it was a version change, or something specific to JB.
If I know I'm going to be using WhatsApp I stay off WiFi. Not ideal, but it's the only thing I've done that's "fixed" it.

If you always had this problem since the day you bought the phone and on stock (not sure if you flashed a custom ROM right on the first day you owned it), probably not. But if whatsapp worked fine before and the problem was introduced after flashing a custom ROM/kernel, I'd say returning to stock will probably fix it.

I've used whatsapp since day 1 I have my gnex. No issues whatsoever, not on ICS nor on JB. I also don't see this forum flooded with people complaining about whatsapp, so I'd say it's a specific problem linked to your whatsapp account and/or phone.

Beats me. However, with millions of users and billions of messages sent per day, things obviously can go wrong. Try contacting whatsapp support.

I've used Whatsapp for a very long time, previously on an HTC Desire S and now on my GNex GSM and never had issues.... I'm on stock JB rom but I've tried several others with diff kernels and no probs whatsoever. Until today. Faced the exact same prob as the OP described (whatsapp msg's go thru or come very late on wifi but do so fine on 2G/EDGE - however everything else works just fine re gtalk msg's/browsing etc and whatsapp works fine too on my brother's SGS3 on wifi).
Was going nuts googling about it when my brother informed me that he'd changed the home ISP and now our wifi router was pumping out access from a new ISP's modem. So I tried switching back to the old ISP to test (swapped the cable modem that connects to our wifi router) and whatsapp works fine again. Then my brother switched back to the new ISP's modem and same problem for me on whatsapp! So we factory reset the router after upgrading it's software to latest from the manufacturers website and now, finally, whatsapp works fine for me on both ISP's modems.
Maybe you can try messing with your router (factory reset or look thru its settings or try another ISP input just to test?), maybe it will help. It's a strange issue though. (FWIW my router's a cheap one by TENDA and my phones wifi sleep policy is set to always on).

[solved] Slow WiFi connection (youtube, facebook..), though fast inet

Dear folks!
I have been experiencing a significant problem for a while already and looking for how to solve it, and I hope someone of you can give me some help. Any advice appreciated. I couldnt find any concrete solution for this.
Let me start to explain you.
My sister is actually the one using Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (not rooted, Android 4.4.2), and we both have the same problem. Mine is Samsung Galaxy S Relay (rooted, Android 4.4.4).
Our wifi download speed from speedtest.net results directly about 40 Mbits/sec and I can't even believe it!
But when it comes to for example Facebook, Youtube, Google Play, it takes a long time for loading, especially the pictures. Worse on youtube videos, in most of the cases, it can't even load anything, it stops and only after several refresh I can see something, and again very slow.
On mine computer, it is all fine though. Also on our mobile data everything is working perfect and fast.
On my galaxy, I have tried different Android versions, but nothing changed, wifi still slow. Whatever we do on our mobile, change the ROM, factory reset, nothing helps. And the strangest thing is, that when my friend tried our wifi on his Nokia mobile, it worked also fast and without an issue.
It may sound strange, but our problem has exactly started when there was an upgrade of the ISP in our city. After experiencing like that, I have called them and they recommended me a new router. The new router didn't change anything.
My ISP suggested me to try another channels on the router.. I have tried them all. Sill the same problem, and they can not help me any further so far.
If it is an andoid issue, what else can I try?
If it is a router issue, what can I try on its settings? I believe there is an interface/connection problem between samsung and my router or new ISP settings, maybe some change in the settings could fix it?
I would appreciate any help from you guys.
Thank you in advance!
// EDIT, SOLUTION
in case it happens same to you,
this is the solution in such a case, but need to be rooted: just disable the ipv6
I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.lennartschoch.disableipv6 for that
no such troubled lags anymore! it costed me lots of nervs and went to my bananas!
here you go and enjoy!
Please somebody any idea?
// edit: solved!
Just want to share with you my solution: after disabling IPv6, facebook, youtube and google play work fast now! (in case u have a bad ISP (?) like mine!)
for disabling it i luckily found https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.lennartschoch.disableipv6
