[Q] Different wallpaper in landscape vs. Portrait? - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

Is there a way to do this?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2

I would like to know this too
from my G2 using xda app.......

You can do this with Tasker (tasker.dinglisch.net), but just with jpeg, not with live wallpapers.

Thanks! I'll check it out in a bit
EDIT: eh I was hoping I could find a free solution

For anyone wondering, there is a $0.99 app in the market called dual wallpaper that works great.

any news about such apps?
I prefer not to pay for an app which has terrible ratings in market, and not only in market.

I don't know for certain, but AutomateIT is kind of like Tasker and it's free. Try that.

Is it possible to have a slideshow of pics as your wallpaper?

Was just wondering if it was possible to have a slideshow/running loop of pics as my wallpaper. If so, can anyone explain how? Thanks for any insight.

I never thought of that but it would be sweet. Does anyone know of an app that can do that?
MultiPicture Live Wallpaper, there are a lot of settings and customazations in it but you can configure it to change to a different wallpaper by time intervals, restarts, locks/unlocks, screen swipes, etc.

No sir. There are a ton of fee live wallpapers in the market though. My fav is fireflies. I just think it's cool as hell. Anyway, nah, I don't think Zedge has live.
JustPictures (my favorite picture viewer) has a live wallpaper that will slideshow the pictures you save as favorites.

[Q] Best HD Wallpapers APP

Wassup everybody,
Im here looking to see if anybody knows if there is any app that has HD wallpapers that fit well on the G2 withouth having it look a little weird or too close to the wallpaper picture. I know there is a lot of HD wallpaper apps in the market but, the thing is it all says the same but end up having wallpapers with high resolution or something that once you apply it as your background the wallpaper looks a little bit different but in a bad way like all... too close or not perfect idk how to explain it. But what I'm looking for is a wallpaper app that shows the wall papers full hd with the right fit and resolution just like the ones that are put in the Cyanogen mod wallpapers and that comes with the phone. Or if there's anyway I can edit the large pictures myself, meaning size and etc, please let me know thanks...

I use HD wallpapers. Free on Market. Has a good selection.
Zedge is a good wallpaper/ringtone/notification app. Not really sure how HD the wallpapers are, but they look great on my G2.

Why do you even need to do that? You can crop just about any photo in your gallery for use as wallpaper within Android.
Alternately, you can use most any photo manipulation software on your desktop computer to scale/crop the image to 960x800, then copy it to your phone. If you don't have any such software, GIMP is a good, free, open-source one.

Can I get a hell yeah for WidgetLocker? One of the best apps ever, period.
Wave Launcher
WidgetLocker
LPP FB Widget
Minimal Reader Pro
MIUI Evolution Reload Clock
Minimalistic Text
Desktop Visualizer
just a quick reminder here guys before it goes out of hand
no warez in XDA
only legit links to legit market places, like Android Market, Amazon Market, Getjar, and... errh... forgot the name of that other one that looks really dodgy but is legit

I also prefer Swipepad over wave launcher. I really wanted to like wave launcher, but it kept getting in the way of other actions, like the dockbar shortcuts and sliding the notification bar back up.
Is there a way to change from where it launches, like you can with Swipepad? I couldn't find the option.

where to find cool wallpapers?

just looking for some siiick wallpapers for this phone? also what launchers have you guys found to have the best ones? i have zeam, t.w, go, and was using adw go but couldnt really figure out how to use it.. :/
My favorite wallpapers are definitely the ones in the Galaxy Pack from Maxelus.net. It's not very expensive and it has 7 customizable wallpapers, or you can get the free galaxies from Maxelus. Those being Ice Galaxy, Inferno Galaxy, Shadow Galaxy, and Vortex Galaxy.
I still haven't been able to find a favorite launcher but I do like SPB Shell 3D. Unfortunately it costs like $15 but you can find it somewhere.
thanks homie!
the zedge app in the market has tons of wallpapers and ringtones and notification sounds
Zedge is an awesome app.

I like higher resolution images, so I just use the browser and go to http://www.reddit.com/r/wallpapers or http://www.reddit.com/r/wallpaper usually some good stuff in there.
I personally use ICS wallpapers because they look super sexy
Here's a link:
[Removed] Since I'm a new user I can't post links.
Just google ICS wallpapers and you'll find links...

Btw you can get the pro key form like 4shared or applanet
I usually just do a search in google images. lol. Occasionally i find some very cool ones.

Just to let everyone know, Flikie Wallpapers HD uses AirPush ad network which pushes ads to your notification bar.
I usually check out interfacelift when I am looking for new wallpapers
Sent from my SPH-D710
I have found the best way is you just search google. Go to google images. Pick the exact resolution for your wallpaper. It is 980x800 for the Home Screen and 480x800 for the lockscreen. And just search for whatever you want. Chances are you will find it. And it will be free.
I am 99% sure on the sizes but if someone could confirm that for me it would be great.
They got removed in the last update. I ran addons detector and it didn't show up under the push notification section.

Fair enough, I must have had the old version that still included them. If they did choose to get rid of them, then that's great
Yeah,I'm sure better wallpaper apps are out in the market....I'm just to lazy to look.

[Q] Wallpaper resolution

When I try to change my wallpaper and lock screen, using Gallery, with a High Res image, the wall paper looks compressed and very low res. The cropping even doesn't match the crop lines I set, its a much smaller area. Has anyone else noticed this and found a solution?
The lockscreen looks fine though and is as clear as I expect.
Seriously no one else is bugged by this? Is there another app that works well to change wallpaper?
