[Q] Error in CACHE:recovery/log

Lets make this easy:
-Tried to install CyanogenMod on my rooted Desire using the ROM Mananger.
-Installed it but it got into a loop at the CyanogenMod boot logo
-Searched around and found out that you had to go into recovery and try to reflash there
-Every time I go into ClockworkMod Recovery, there's a message "E:Error in CACHE:recovery/log (No space left on device)"
-Tried to wipe data/factory reset
-Got a black screen
(It seems that all the options give me a black screen and the only way I could solve that is to remove the battery)
I was told to reflash the recovery, but how would I go about doing that?
Pleas don't tell me you also try to confirm actions in recovery with the power button. Use the trackpad/optical joystick instead, the reason the screen turns black is because you actually turn it off(simple press of the power button should fix it and not pulling the battery). Also make sure in recovery you wipe data/factory-reset, cache and dalvik cache(under advanced)

[Q] cyanogen 7 doesn't boot up!!! htc wildfire

first i want to say that i'm a noob
so i have downloaded cyanogenmod 7 on the htc wildfire
when i boot it up for the first time, the blue cirkel turns around, than there is a little animation, where a blue androidmen flash over the screen, and then the cirkel starts again turning around, it doesn't stop, how can i fix it? so it boot up?
PLEAASSSE HELP ME!!!
Hi this sounds like it is booting up normally to me,please be patient with allowing it to finalize. Please allow at LEAST 10 minutes then see. If no luck then try a clean install again by wiping system and caches from within clockworkmod recovery. Please be careful not to wipe your sdcard.

Reboot into Clockworkmod Recovery (Turn off phone, Press Vol Down + Power simultaneously, then navigate to Recovery using the Volume keys and Press Power button). When Clockworkmod Recovery starts, select "Wipe Data / Factory Reset". Confirm it. Then, go to "Mounts and Storage", select "Format /system", and confirm it as well.
Once these 2 steps are complete, flash the ROM again.

[Q] help CMW not working

Hello,
I've installed cmw, but when i boot inside cmw i can move up, down, press power, but if i press power i get a blank screen (or a static screen with the icon, depending on the cmw version). there is an error too, when starting cmw, saying "pc49img.zip not found or wrong". Maybe something didn't work? What can i do? I tried flashing everything with no success. it seems root is working and i can start android, but no cmw for flash a new rom. I have the default 2.2.1.
Thank you all for the help!

no worries- all good. Fastboot just checks if there's a file to flash (by fastboot itself - not clockworkmod) it's normal - nothing wrong, it's just the message that it didn't find anything to flash.
Just flash a ROM and enjoy
Swyped from my HTC Wildfire (Buzz)
Oh thanks! It works! Damn, I was using the power button for hours!
Its called CWM by the way not CMW

just to make sure (hint: you generally should be a bit more specific in your description): you mean if you
- choose Recovery from the Fastboot menu with volume keys (after Fastboot has been finnishing loading)
- hit power to select Recovery
- move to "install zip from sdcard" with volume keys inside Clockworkmod
- hit the trackball to choose "install zip from sdcard"
If you have done all that you most likely should try to reflash Clockworkmod. This should be explained in the guide you did follow.
But - wait a moment - you just mentioned that root seem to be working - how did you find out? What exactly is Fastboot showing (when you boot into Fastboot by holding Volume key down and Power)?
If you have done the process by Revolutionary it should say something like that:
Code:
-Revolutionary- (white on magenta/pink background)
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.01.1002

Use the latest philz touch recovery (unofficial build). You may find the link to this build in kumajaya's thread on CM 11.

Clear partition cache?

Anyone figured out how to clear the partition cache or if it's even an option? I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks

It can be done through recovery turn off your phone and hold power button and volume down button once in fastboot mode look for the options for recovery by using volume up or down buttons remember use the power button to select . Once you're inside recovery there's going to be a little Android laying down hold the power button tap on the volume up that should get you into recovery look for the option to clear cache partitions
