From what I've been able to gather, this is a bug from HTC in the latest 1.72.xxx OTA update. So don't expect it to be fully fixed until next update from HTC
Yeah same problem here. I'm assuming a bug also as it's only happened since I updated to 1.72
Seems like the OTA is giving problems.

when froyo ota was first released I installed it and everything was fine but I kept having problems with youtube. some videos would play but most would say sorry this video cannot be played. I did a factory reset and still got the same problem. the only change i have done is the move any apps2sd mid. could this be the cause. as anyone else experienced this?
Same thing here. I don't think it's anything you have done, the app just sucks. I had a HTC Hero with 1.5 with this problem. Then, upgraded to 2.1 and the problem was gone. Now, with HTC Desire I'm having the same problem again with 2.2. The videos usually start playing if you keep hitting 'play' for a few times, but they might also stop while playing.. Very annoying.
I wonder how widespread this problem is?
Looks like almost everybody with 2.2 have this problem (including me)
yeah me too

has anyone tried using a 2.1 youtube.apk on a 2.2 rom?
Try turning off HQ. Anything I wanted to watch on youtube kept throwing up the same error but once I turned off HQ it worked fine for me.
At least its not just me then. Disabling high quality is no good to me. It helps to play the video but it looks and sounds a lot worse.
I hope they fix this somehow.
Yup, HQ disabled fixes this, but its not very usable solution...

I would try if you tell me where to get it.
I have the same problem and after observing it it seems it tends to happen when the data connection is not so good.sometimes my wifi drops and I can see when it happens looking at the lights on the modem.when I am on gprs videos don't play generally when the signal bars go down.

My connection is perfect. But it still happens so I'm certain its the app.
I dont think that its because of the connection too. In my case it always happens at the near end of a video that it stops playing and an error appears.
Is it just me or have this new radio rom 32.46.00.32U_5.10.05.17_2 fixed this playback problem? Just flashed it in my LeeDrOiD 2.0a and tested few videos. Not a single fail/errors yet after 10+ randomly selected videos. Can someone test this too?

If I where u I'd wait a few days and let us know how it is. Because when I factory reset my froyo it works fine for a few hours then the problem starts again.

I was already running this rom with 2 older radios, and both had this issue. I'm not saying this new radio fixes it, but I really hope so.
Anyways, I continue testing and will report if there's errors or not.

I flashed the new radio but i still got the problem. Im using the official froyo rom.
Has anyone had problems with the Tweetdeck widgets disappearing?
It seems to happen if restarting the phone.
Only way to get them back is to reinstall Tweetdeck. And even that sometimes takes 2-3 attempt to get them to appear.
I'm currently running LeeDrOid 1.8, looking to update shortly. ;-)

Make sure you have it installed on your phone memory not on sd.
Hope this helps.
I did move it to the phone memory but it still happened. :-[
Perhaps an install straight to phone may be better.

I've been using this ROM for the past few weeks, running great except whenever trying to use SpareParts' "battery history" it FCs.
Anyone experience this, possible fix?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
here is the solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14069881&postcount=6333
I had same problem downloaded from market and it FC so just un-installed it
as far as im aware its the same for all GB build as the battery info isnt got from the engineer mode like in froyo (*#*#4636#*#*) its got from settings - about phone - battery. This is why spareparts is FC when u select battery history
Hi all, I have now tried on 2 different roms.. On both the camera is working as it should but when changing to video and start recording nothing happens.. After a few seconds the phone reboots itself.. Anyon experienced the same issue - or even better anyone up for a way to fix this? thanks..

It seems never happen to me.
Just change one stable rom.
Problem solved.. Probably caused by faulty radio image.. Reinstalled latest radio and that fixed the video recording

Hello,
I have been having issues when it comes to receiving the voicemail notification icon. I am running the latest MIUI ROM
(1.11.11). I also had the same issue with CM 7.1.0. I'm on the Bell network in Canada. For the life of me I can't figure out how to fix this. Google Voice would be a viable option if I lived in the States.
Has anyone figured out a fix for this yet?
Thanks in advance!

If all your voicemail settings are correct, it might be a hang over from the "own number" bug; check Settings>About phone>Status and make sure your phone number isn't listed as unknown.

It does show up as unknown. I know I fixed that issue before but now I don't remember how. Any advice?
Sent from my HTC Desire Z using XDA App
Apparently I must have fixed this when I was running CM7, but I have not come across a way to fix it on MIUI. However, I'm not entirely sure that will fix the voicemail issue.

I'm not sure the fix in MIUI, in CM7 it was under Call Settings. I'm not 100% sure that will fix it for you, as you're running MIUI but, that was one of the symptoms of the unknown number bug in CM7.
