[Q] black screen, need help - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my g2 is stuck with a black screen no matter what i do including battery pulls, but the screen is still responsive - i can blindly unlock the phone and get haptic feedback from the menu keys. no matter, ill just factory wipe and get a new one right? since i cant do it blindly, i figured i could go the adb route. problem is, adb does not recognize my phone! i had temprooted using visionary to remove bloatware so as far as i remember usb debugging was enabled before the screen went out. however, with htc sync and adb installed my computer still cannot recognize my blacked out g2. help!

Touch Panel-Fail

so i'm trying to figure out a friend's evo.
it starts up super slow... takes 5+ minutes to boot and once booted, the touch screen doesn't work
TLDR:
i use voldn+power to power up (not sure what this screen is called. i don't own an HTC android phone) and among the messages there, it reads "Touch Panel-Fail" and when i choose recovery, the phone reboots and i get an exclamation mark in a triangle.
this phone has never been rooted
she said that she went to bed one night and woke up to the evo in this condition.
USB debugging isn't enabled and since i can't use the touch screen, i am unable to enable it to use ADB
any ideas on what i can do to get this thing functional (besides bring it back to sprint)?
thanks so much
i had this happen but i was rooted and wen i flashed a custom recovery it fixed it
Is it rooted? If so, flash one of calculins touch panel drivers.

no, this phone has never been rooted. unfortunately, usb debugging is turned off and i can't turn it on to root the phone due to my inability to get past the lock screen
i've successfully gotten one shipped rom to flash via zip (PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2 .15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.zip) but it didn't resolve the problem.
no other shipped rom zips will flash for some reason

[Q] Phone is stuck on bootloader mode

I have looked all over this site and i cant find anything relating to my specific problem
My phone battery completly died so when i got home i attempted to charge it and it went straight into bootloader mode. All of my buttons are working so i dont think my volume key is stuck, but when i select any of the options in bootloader it just goes back to the previous screen.
Everything had been running as normal til now, i have no custom ROM's and nothing has recently been installed or updated.
Any help would be appreciated!
I bought a parts phone that did just what you are saying...it turned out to be the battery-just plain was no good even tho it appeared to charge etc etc.-and when I put in one from my other phone it ran perfectly...worth a shot if you have access to one.

[Q] Splash screen stuck after lcd replacement

So Today I changed my gfs lcd and the digitizer. Installed it fine, I make sure all the ribbons are properly connected and close up the phone. The phone turns on and shows the splash screen, seems like it's booting. I decide to use the latest RUU and see if that helps. A few reboots later i on the newest hboot, thing is it keeps happening, except now i can hear it boot (sprint boot anim). I battery pull a few times and I get it to boot. Touch screen works fine and all, tick Development and keep awake (because once it slept it wouldnt turn on again), mind you adb works while the splash is displayed and after the boot anim, adb also works when the screen is turned off and it wont wake up.
I just want a second opinion on if i should get another lcd screen. The one I installed didnt have the best reviews.
Thanks.
ps: i dont post alot because i know how to search, but i havent found anything on this exact issue.
Im slightly confused... so does it boot? or not? I am trying to make sense of what you wrote...
Try clearing the storage in hboot something may have corrupted during the process...
well it does boot you can hear the sprint boot animation, and i can also adb into it. getting into the bootloader works fine, booting into recovery or regular booting is the problem. Just displays the splash screen, but as I said I think it does boot into recovery/system because I have adb access.
edit: i just turned it on and it booted, but once put it to sleep the screen wont turn back on.
If it's not getting pay the splash something is stalling it... Did you try to run a logcat from adb? Do that and look for errors.

[Q] HTC one X boot issue

Hello,
In the last few months i have had some minor issues with my phone. In May or in June I have tried to root my phone. It was my first device I wanted to root, so I decided to use Kingo Android root. It didn't work. I installed HTC universal toolkit ( or how was it called ) from XDA forums to my computer. With its help I unlocked the bootloader, installed the TWRP and rooted the phone with Kingo. Everything worked OK, the only problem was that TWRP didn't respond to touch input. I didn't solve it at the time because it wasn't urgent. A month ago I installed few root apps from Google Play, but I didnt experience any issues. Today I was browsing the internet and suddenly I saw a HTC logo and the screen came grey. I waited for a minute and then force turned the phone off. It didn't want to start again. I booted into bootloader. It showed few errors, but was successful to boot. I wanted to open recovery, but it opened the bootloader menu again. Factory reset option didn't work too. I turned the phone off and then turned it on again, but it was stuck in infinite startup loop. Also the HTC logo was broken, there were strange colourful squares around it.
How can I repair my phone? I know that it isn't totally bricked, but this looks really bad. At least I would like to save my data and I will buy a new phone.
Thank You very much for Your help.
Dominik
P. S.: Sorry if I made any mistakes, but I am not a native speaker.
So today it doesn't even turn on!!!! I have tried everything, I was holding power and volume down button for almost two minutes, did the same with my mobile connected to the charger and to the computer, but nothing :crying: .
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?????

Probably bricked, don't know what to do

Hey all,
So like about a year ago I installed twrp and rooted my one m8s and couldn't care less to update anything but everything was working fine.
Recently I bought a new phone so today I thought lets wipe the device and factory reset it. Well thats where it went wrong.
After the reset it tried to boot but was just stuck on the white screen with the HTC logo.
I then held the power + vol up, which triggered something and showed an other logo for a second then just going dark, but the device is still on and backlit.
I cant get out of this for some reason neither will the device turn off. When i connect it to my pc it gets recognized but I cant get into storage.
Also adb and fastboot won't see the device and the htc_fastboot.exe I got from here throws an adbwinapi.dll missing error.
I am really stuck on what to do and i was hoping maybe someone could help me out here?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Bart
EDIT: got the phone to turn off when the battery died and was able to boot into fastboot from there, lets see where this gets me.
EDIT #2: Welp I fixed it I suppose. If someone please could remove this thread since I can't
