I know the "TWiT" app has one for listening to the audio podcasts of the TWiT network. According to the author of that app, Dmitry Lyalin, this library has been custom created by a colleague of him (both work for Microsoft).
They are currently working with the Microsoft legal department to open source this library. Please contact Dmitry for more info.
Since I'm new to this forum I'm not able to post his website address (sigh). But his Twitter handle is: @lyalindotcom

Pocket Scrobbler

Not sure how many of you use Last.fm to listen to music, but a couple of dev's got permission from Last.fm to make a client that will run on Windows Mobile. It will scrobble whatever you are listening to to your Last.fm account, but for me the best part is the radio. You can stream music through it from Live.fm based on bands you like or have scrobbles (like Pandora.com). It's a very cool app and is pretty good for still doing some development work. You can find the forums here: http://www.last.fm/group/Pocket+Scrobbler/forum
And you can download the cab file here: https://sourceforge.net/project/platformdownload.php?group_id=214724&sel_platform=6790
Make sure you read through the requirements and if you have any problems check their forum for tips and tricks.

UPNP/DNLA client

Guys anyone know of a good UPNP/DNLA client for windows mobile?
Would be fantastic
bump bump, please someone reply if you know it.
Bump indeed
Somebody must have a upnp server in home and using a winmo device to access
The i900 (Omnia) looks like it's the only WM device that has DLNA certification and it's as a media server. I'm not sure if it can also be used as a controller/renderer.
My old S60 N95 had DLNA certification as a media server but could also act as a controller and worked as a renderer for some formats.
The only working one I know of and use is the Network plugin for the Pocket Player media player. The plugin is not included in the standard edition, but a free download. It enables you to access your media server over Wifi. I use TwonkyMedia as media servers on my Vista desktop PC and on my Linux NAS (network harddisk).
The Coreplayer people for a long time now promise UPnP support in Coreplayer, but have not delivered yet.
Pocket Player works great for audio, but is there anything out there for video as well?
hey, try this and see if you can make it works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629247

A2Dp/AVRCP Problemss

I have tried several versions of Coreplayer (1.25, 1.3) and I still cannot get it to enable the AVRCP profile. in 1.25 is just doesn't check, and in 1.3 it crashes the program. I have hardrest before installing each just to see.
If I cannot get that to work, is there a way to turn down Bluetooth volume? My Jabra Halo have a high starting volume, and S2P or WMP are too loud and the volume controls don't seem to work
Thanks for the help in advance, I really appreciate all the work you devs do!
I switched to PocketPlayer due to this, latest version of it works fine with A2DP controls from headset. I don't think CorePlayer has a version that would work correctly by default.
Yes, I've noticed it too and mentioned it in "I Got Mine" thread. AADP works flawlessly even without tweaks, but no AVRCP in Coreplayer (whatever version and settings i've made).
For the moment I have to use TF3D Audio Manager to play music through my SE HBH DS-980. Although quality (sound fidelity) is quite behind compared to Coreplayer. What a shame.
Gotta find Widcomm Stack hack (TP2 has this BT stack, previous version of Touch series has Microsoft Stack) to work on Coreplayer. Or, wait for coreplayer to release patch/upgrade for their player to work the AVRCP on TP2.
I have the same problem. Did you find a widcomm stack hack ?
I'm very about htc to make AVRCP only working with HTC audio player. Not with other programs like PocketMusic or core player
Why HTC still allows AVRCP in this player even when it's desactivated in TFT3D menubar.
Here my mail to HTC :
Question :Hello, I have a Touch pro 2 and I have a problem : I can't use bluetooth AVCRP with touch flo 3D 2.5, but it working only with HTC audio manager in touch flo 3D. But i want to use other program with my stereo headset like pocketmusic (avcrp compatible verified) Please tell me what can I do Regards
Answer :
Thank you for contacting HTC Technical Support regarding your HTC Touch Pro2.
I would be happy to assist you.. HTC is unable to support third party programs on the device. It is recommend to contact the vendor of the third party applications if you are experiencing trouble. I cannot guarantee all third party applications will work properly with your HTC device. I can recommend checking our self-help user forum at www.htcwiki.com for more information regarding your inquiry. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
In addition, you can find a customer satisfaction survey at: http://survey.htc.com/worldwide/.
Thank You,
Stephanie

I will reply AVRCP is in the list of the technical specification and I can't use It. Because if a standart like AVRCP become a closed API, and designed to work only with HTC apps, i see no difference beetween HTC and the iphone closed world.

[Q] Cisco Voicemail/WMA Playback

Anyone know of a way to get WMA files to playback? Im specifically trying to get my voicemails from a Cisco phone system to play. They get sent to my email as a wma and It would be really nice to be able to play them from my phone. Especially since all of the Iphone people can play them and they never let me live it down.
I keep seeing the suggestion for remotewav and poweramp, but neither seem to work for me.
I'm assuming that your on a Froyo Sense ROM correct? I had the same issue with vonage voicemails. Check out this thread. Try my solution or an alternative one that was mentioned in the thread. Also keep in mind that Gingerbread doesn't have these Codec issues. If you flash to CM7 it should play natively.
Cyanagen 7 does not work with the wma files. Anyone else have any ideas. I have tried all of the suggestions in the previous link as well.
I just read that WavPlayer has WMA support. Its listed under the "Whats New" tab.
Downloaded wav player and no luck. On the plus side googgles return policy for apps works great.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

I'm the developer of WavPlayer. I updated the application on May 24 (version 2.7) to add support for WMA, ASF, QCP, and many other formats. I've verified that it works with many WMA files, including those that are sent by Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging System. If you find any file that does not play in WavPlayer (WMA or otherwise), please send a copy to me by email and I'll do my best to add support for the format. If I am unable to add the format and you are outside the 15 minute return window I'll refund the US$0.99 in full.
You can contact me via the Android Market on your phone, just click the "Send email to developer" link at the bottom of the market entry for WavPlayer. For obvious reasons I don't want to place my email address in this post.
Also, I've noticed that the default Mail application does not handle file attachments properly, which can be interpreted as a defect in WavPlayer not being able to play the file. It reports zero-length file attachments. In this case I suggest using the K-9 Mail application, free from the Android Market.
Thanks,
Dennis

Record videos to use on “Skype in the classroom”

Skype in the classroom, officially launched at the end of March 2011, is a free global community to help teachers collaborate on classroom projects and share skills and inspiration around specific teaching needs. It also offers an immediate way to help students discover new cultures, languages and ideas, all without leaving the classroom. So far, more than 9,000 teachers have registered their classrooms in this free, online database.
This new Skype community is a great and powerful teaching tool. Teachers can go online to register for free and add in their contact details, also find where their school is located and what their interests are. It makes teachers to collaborate on classroom projects where they might use Skype, and share skills and inspiration around specific teaching needs. Students can discover new cultures, languages and ideas without leaving the classroom. So, the learning will be more interesting and memorable. Students from any countries can also discuss images of their favorite foods, maps of their country's geography, and information on what kind of weather they have, even comparing school uniforms. It’s really exciting when Skype's videoconferencing technology was used. For example, one little American girl asked the Chilean students if they had to wear uniforms. To answer, a fifth grader popped in front of the camera and proudly showed off her "jumper with colored ties". It’s indeed a great way to get kids to learn more about the world they live in and interact with other kids. If you want to enroll your classroom in “Skype in the classroom”, visit Skype Education website.
Then, teachers on Skype in the classroom should definitely consider using a Skype video recorder to record or capture video and audio like Camersoft Skype Video Recorder to record the video calls so that the experience can be shared with other children. Especially, the ability to record the entire exchange in a single file – the video and audio of all participants in a side-by-side format – would make it very easy to share these cultural exchanges.
The resource section of Skype in the classroom is stacked with videos, links and tips. With recorder program, teachers can smoothly and easily add resources of their own or favorite the ones they like best to create a huge, shareable library of teaching ideas. This Skype video recorder can record video and audio, and then save it as AVI files. More powerful, teachers can convert AVI files to many other formats you want to play with any media devices and merge many single files into one to share with students conveniently on Skype in the classroom.
