After flashing radio....

Got a quick question. After flashing radio... Everyone I go to hboot to get to recovery... It prompts me to update... Even though I already did.
Should I delete the radio from the root of sd card since its on phone?
I just want to get to recovery

Yes. Lol

Yea, it always looks for that file and if it finds it, it'll ask if you want to flash it. So, either rename it or delete it.
Thanks!

Moving it to a folder also works

Amon Ra

Can I flash Among Ra when I root with Revolutionary instead CWM? Bootloader? Or do I need to use flash alternate recovery in ROM manager after root?
Sent from my Classic Tomatoefied PC36100 using xda premium
Grab a PC36IMG of Amon Ra from the thread in development. Be sure that it's named PC36IMG.zip exactly - don't add the zip if you don't see it. Put it on the root of your SD card, boot into hboot, accept the update. Decline to reboot if you want to go ahead and go into recovery.
Or you can download the properly named PC36IMG of Amon Ra here.

When it says flash CWM during the root process should I say no and flash this in bootloader right after?

Yeah, no reason to flash CWM if you're just going to flash Amon Ra when you're done.

Ok, I think I got it. Sorry kinda new to this. If I don't flash a recovery and boot my phone I will still be able to boot into bootloader to flash Amon, yes?

Yes, because you don't flash the recovery in the recovery menu, you do it from the bootloader, to get a recovery.
Thank you both very much, and thanks Plainjane for the link.

Well I don't know where exactly, but you should be able to. Using root explorer or es file manager, ect, should let you see it for sure. i can't say exactly where, as I'm unpartitioned.
Yea, not sure where either. I'll post it as a separate question. Thanks very much for the help.

You need Odin installed on your PC, and this file I have attached. Turn your phone off, hold down both volume buttons and hook up the USB cable which is already connected to the machine running Odin. Open Odin, and select PDA, find the file you downloaded from this post and select it. Now click start in Odin & violla !
Ahh k will it wipe my data. The reason I asked is since i'm rooted with a stock ROM with clockwork recovery installed,.will I still get ota's.

No it won't wipe your data.
As far as OTAs go, it has to be stock everything.

No worries. I'm just giving you a hard time.
Like someone mentioned above, just use ODIN to flash a stock rooted ROM and all will be right in the world again.
Do you know exactly how?
Need Infos.
I'm beginner and trying to respect your words.
Thanks:thumbup:

In the development section read the instructions how to flash via odin.
This should get you through the process and give you root.

Unzip the .7z file you downloaded from that thread. You should get a .tar file. (Might be .tar.md5, cant remember)
Flash that with odin.
