Make sure you don't have the straight to voicemail feature turned on. Or the DDTM feature.

Can you even get phone call notifications and text messages when tethering? I know you can't use data and calls at the same time, but will it at least tell you that you have an incoming call or something so you can exit out of internet stuff and pick up the call?

Sure ... it's like when you're surfing the web, and a call comes in. You simply answer the call, and everything is on hold until you finish the call, then it will resume ... no need to exit.
I updated the phone and when I try to call a call on LTE is hangs up calls. Also receiving calls send people to my voice mail. The phone supposes to switch to 4G when making calls and it doesn't switch.

So I've been trying to get to where I can turn on airplane mode, then flip WiFi on and still be able to receive calls. I'm not using T-Mobile (but have the M919), so the WiFi calling feature doesn't apply. I'm using SipDroid + Google Voice with a PBXes.org account. My problem is that when people call my cell number (which is forwarded to my GV number) with my mobile service turned off they get redirected to my Google Voicemail. If, on the other hand, someone calls my GV number, my phone rings and I can answer it with SipDroid; making outgoing calls via SipDroid also work flawlessly. I have unanswered and unreachable call forwarding activated to forward calls to my GV number but it's just not working as I expect it to. Any advice?

I used Groove IP for this and the way to get it to work correctly was, I believe, to make sure that GV's settings are forwarding calls on to Google Chat. It sounds like you already have that set, since you can get direct calls to your GV number, but you might want to make sure all the settings are correct on the GV side.
Hello,
Recently I've had issues where my HTC One M8 with T-Mobile cannot receive calls until a call is made. It will ring twice and then go straight to voicemail, but the phone never actually rings. It's when I make a call from the M8 that it will begin to receive the flood of texts, voicemails and also start receiving calls again. Any ideas? I'm currently using this rom. Thanks!
Is there anyway to block all calls that are not saved to contacts? Coming from an HTC phone the built in dialer had this option. If you recieved a call from a # that was not in your contacts, the phone would send it straight to voicemail. The robocalls are getting out of hand and would be nice to silence the 15-20 of them I get daily.
