File sizes... - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When installing a theme onto a rom does the theme replaces file's in the rom or add to files.
For example i'm using the Revolution HD rom which is 241mb, i then use one of the compatible themes i like which is 63mb, so is my rom then 306mb or does the theme overwrite files in the rom and the difference is closer to the original rom size.
Hope that makes sense.
Just curious
Thanks

[Q] how do I install theme addons?

how do I install theme addons?
I'm new to flashing a theme on my desire HD. I already have a castom rom (Android Revolution HD 3,5) and now I want to flash a theme on my device as well.
With te theme I want to install comes a addon in a separate .zip file.
How do I install this addon with te theme?
do you have to replace the files in the addon .zip with the files in the original theme .zip or do you have to flash the theme first and then flash the addon separate?
does nobody know the answer?
just flashing the .zips one by one should do the trick!

Hybrid Gsense 3.0 lockring

looking for the stock lockring file?
If you're using VR's Kingdom rom, check in the themes section for Burst's gator boots theme. He has the stock lockscreen flash file for that rom there.
im using AllianceROM][r7.2] HybriD 3D[Sense 2.1 OTA...can i use VR's Kingdom rom file with this rom?
Probably not, might break something. Ask evoKings if he has a stock lockscreen flash file. Otherwise, nandroid first if you decide to test if Burst's flash will work on Alliance.

Restoring default cyanogenmod theme on a skinned ROM (e.g black ice)?

Hi,
I'm running Black Ice - and the ROM itself is good, but I'm not a huge fan of the skin. The lockscreen is very dark and the symbols have changed, and also the statusbar has different icons which I'm not that keen on.
How can I restore the default cyanogenmod theme, is there a flashable zip that removes all of the custom skins?
Thanks
You should just switch back to cyanogen. Devs take a base and add a theme to it because they are targeting a specific look. If its not for you then switch to something else. If there are other themes available for a Rom they will be posted in op or someone in thread will post a working one. I don't think they are interested in going for the cyanogen look since cyanogen already has the vanilla look down.
I know the black ice devs don't want the vanilla look, and I'm ok with that. But you can skin roms in different ways, so surely one is the default cyanogenmod look?
The thread mentions copying systemui.apk and framework-res.apk but I'm not having any luck.
And blackice has some great tweaks, which is why I'm using it
Black ice is derived from cyanogen so you should be able to extract those two files from framework in cyanogen and push them to your phone and then reboot. What problems are you experiencing while trying this? You could try using the kitchen to swap the files.

Yes that's because Touchwiz uses .qmg file types for boot animation. I have a mod file that allows Touchwiz to load .zip boot animations but since you're using an i9305 I'm not sure whether it works for you or not since its for i9300. If you still want it , its in the attachments but make sure to backup your ROM before flashing the zip file in recovery. Good luck
I tried but not working. I found this and it seems to fit the place here in case anyone wanted
