hey. I want to get rid of the sound when zooming in camera mode. I Know I could turn down or deactivate the ringtone-volume each time, what I think is a usability bug. If there is no workaround, can anybody tell me where to find the soundsource in the filesystem (not under system/media/audio/ui) so that I can root-replace it with a 0kb file. plz no help-postings regarding pros and cons of a digital zoom or how to edit pix on the defy after taking them.
AutoFocus Sound??
that is not software sound.
not the autofocus sound, the zoom-sound (volume up or down) while taking a photo. This is a system sound. Seems to be the same sound that occurs when switching off the device.

I am running CM7.0.3.1 on my HTC EVO 4g and for some reason I have lost the screen lock sound, the camera shutter sound, and the focus ready sound that the camera makes when it is ready to take a picture. I do not know what has caused these sounds to disappear but I have checked all of my settings and that is not the cause. Can someone tell me how to fix this or at least point me to the actual system folder and what sound files to look for to see if they have somehow gone missing or been deleted. It would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
Hey guys.
OK I'm hoping one of you guys out there can answer this question:
Is there any way of silencing the recording shutter sound I was able to disable it from the camera within the settings for camera mode, but in video settings I don't see an option to turn off the video shutter sound
Anyone know how I can solve this?
Thanks
Michael.
there is no option to turn off camera sound in this korean variant... even in mute mode, the camera still makes a loud sound which is kind of annoying at times
Using the same model and there isn't any known way to silent the camera sounds. What you can do is use some other app that can take pictures and then silence the sounds. YouCam Perfect, Retrica stuff like that can silence the sounds with no problems. Otherwise I think you will need to root.
Yesterday, I rebooted by phone as I had problems. I now cannot switch off the camera sound so that I still get the shutter sound when I take a photo.
A few weeks ago, I was able to turn off the camera shutter sound with no problem.
My Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini runs Android 4.4.2. Please can someone advise how I can switch off the stock camera shutter sound without having to turn off the phone volume. Many thanks.
Very simple, just search for enforced stream silencer and install it.
Hi
the camera of my M8 makes a buzzing/vibrating noise when I start the camera app.(But the camera is working and the pictures are as good as usual) I tried a reset of my phone but it had no effect. My guess is that this is a fail safe mechanism. For me it sounds like the lens stucks a little bit and a firmware mechanism is vibrating the lens until it's free again. Can you confirm this or why do you think my camera makes buzzing sounds?
thx

it is the camera lens problem, hardware issus
Is there a chance to fix it or do I have to replace the complete camera module?
Its the camera auto-focus. Folks have posted on here of hearing a buzzing noise, while others don't. The noise may or may not indicate its failing. But I wouldn't worry about it, until the camera fails to focus, or fails to work completely.
