I am unable to download from the market. If i search for an app and find it in the results list and tap on it the screen flashes black then to white and says loading and then right back to the results list. Ive tried clearing the cache and data in manage applications with no luck. It was working fine a few days ago and the only thing ive changed was to turn journaling on. Any ideas?

Try clearing Market cache and data under settings/applications, and then clearing all apps' cache with an app2sd type program. This may have helped me when I was having another type of market issue.
Thanks for the reply but i've already tried that. I believe the market got messed up on a freeze and battery pull. I was able to replace it with a themed version and all is good. Just need to source the oem apk

Was this a market that you got because it came with a ROM or did you push a new version. I would suggest flashing a new market to the device and trying to see if that can solve the issue
The one i replaced was the original. The market I used to replace it was not from a rom, its one in the themes and apps forum

Ok is this me or is anyone ones having this problem try to download a image from the browser and it crashes gives me the fc message is there any way to fix this and am the only person having this problem (only pictures tho can someone try this and tell me if its the rom or a user error) google a image press and hold and click save

I have the same problem. Can't help you out other than using another browser. I alternate between dolphin and ninesky, which have more features than the default browser.

So I'm not the only person having this problem I really don't like any other browser to me there all the same would be nice to kno if its just us could be something to bring up to fix for the sfr 1.3

Either use another browser off the market or go into another rom (Like EC05 Plus) and snag the browser apk file and use Root Explorer to replace the old with the new file.
I stopped using stock browser and swapped to Miren. More options and better UI.
Since the update from htc a few weeks ago or whatever, the www browser crashes all the time. Never had problems before the update. This is not, use another browser so please don't do that.

Try going to menu - settings - applications - manage applications - all tab - internet, and hit force stop. Then clear data and cache. Reboot and see if that fixes it.
No go. Not fixed. Crashes randomly quite a bit.

And what exactly do you mean by crash? does the browser freeze? does it force close? does the phone reboot?
I have always found the browser to be somewhat finicky (a whole bunch of ROMs, froyo and gingerbread). But, the broswer was made to be (very) lightweight, as is the whole system on a phone, so I expect some difficulties with heavy content and poorly built pages. The browser will slow way way down when dealing with pages with many embedded videos, ads, and such.
My most common issue with the browser is it freezes with a half-loaded page (except CM 7.1 which FC'd all the time). Most all of my browser problems seem to do with not maintaining a solid connection to Verizon.
Things normally work if I do the one or some of the following...
1. ensure good connection to network (move to someplace with stronger signal)
2. restart browser
3. clear cache, history, then restart browser
4. do steps 1,2,3 and then reboot phone (usually not necessary)
There isn't anything the browser can do if Verizon isn't getting the data to the phone, which seems like the most common issue for me.
Browser just disappears and on any page. Cache, restart nothing helps. It can go to any page and just disappear. I can open right away and then it's fine. Other times I can be at a page for a minute then browser disappears. It's extremely buggy unstable pos since the update to 2.3 long ago.

I assume that means you are not rooted and still s-on. Without being rooted your options for fixing or trouble shooting are very limited. Really your only options would be to do a factory reset, and if that dosent work, an ruu.
OK. I've done reset before and didn't help.

An ruu is a pure stock image direct from htc. It is what htc uses to originaly program the phone for the first time. Download the Gingerbread PB31IMG.zip and flash it thru hboot. I just got an epic 4g that was rooted with gingerbread preinstalled. And I keep getting google frame work crashed unexpectedly. I wonder of its my ROM I am using. Is there something else I should try before I try a new ROM. And I don't know what ROM he has on here. But he did give me clock work with multiple roms to try. I just have to learn how to use it. You need Titanium Backup. In that scroll down to Google Framework Services, click it and hit clear data. Then you should find and flash the reenble journal zip.

I'm rotating from AOKP, PAC and CM10.1 on the Dinc2 and I love all of them but gif files sometimes work and sometimes don't. It seems like on a fresh flash they work but if I restore a saved nandroid they don't.
I'm not positive it's that way every time but it's driving me nuts. I have searched the internet and seen many with this issue but no resolutions of definite cause. I usually use Boat browser or sometimes Next browser but it's the Tumblr app I really care about.
Do the browser settings affect the Tumblr app? Just wanted to see if someone here had a suggestion?
