Hey, my buddy is trying to find the Omnia 7 (unlocked and unbranded) but isn't able to find anything. Everywhere he looks it's branded, and so he (and I) are doubtful about it being unlocked as well.
Appreciate any help from anyone in the region who's been successful at picking one up.
belsimpel.nl or dynabyte.nl
Pdashop.nl
That's where I ordered my Trophy 7,
Great service, good delivery.
Thanks guys, just curious. Upon first startup. Was the setup in Dutch or in English?
I got mine from ExpanSys.nl, mine is T-mobile Germany branded (only a boot logo before the normal boot one, plus some T-mobile software). My Setup was in German, then I changed it in English. There is no dutch language available.
Well, out of those 4. Looks like belsimpel is the cheapest @ 493, and ExpanSYS is the most expensive @ 555.
Just curious about the language now. Since yours was a German T-Mobile, I suppose it would have to be in German on setup. But what if it was unbranded? Hope someone can answer that for me.
some languages are not supported at release,
The support for dutch language will be available in 2011 (april if i'm not mistaken) But the only thing i miss is the dutch spell correction, I'm more a fan of the english menu's
The initial setup of mine was english, it's a vodafone branded device.
Unbranded, English in Netherlands.

Hi
I am about to buy a New Orange German SPV M2000 from a Orange shop in Switzerland which is simlocked to use in Switzerland at a very good price.
I would like to know if it is possible to change the language with a rom upgrade and also if I unlock the phone I can use the preconfigured email profiles on a different simcard.I intend to use a English Vodafone and a Danish TDC simcard with the phone.
I would be grateful for as much info as possible because I know very little about this mobile.
I also want to be sure that I can use the phone for what I need it for before I finally purchase the phone.
Regards Brian

Come on someone just give a little help.
I asked a simple question about unlocking and changing the language on a SPV M2000.
I do not think it is rocket science what is involved so a little advice would be helpful. I am sure you would expect the same.

Anybody know where I can get an English version of the HTC P3300 in the Netherlands?
T-Mobile is going to be offering the phones for free, but they are only in Dutch.
Is there a way to change the operating system on it without messing up the whole phone?
Suggest to have a look at the pdashop.nl or smartphoneshop.nl
They offer the HTC P3300 EN with T-Mobile Contact (which will also give you the benefits of cheap phones..)
Ooops, only the Tytn is one of the recent models in EN. But it is maybe an idea to contact them with the question, their support is quite good.
At expansys.nl they have it (but no contracts as far as I can see)
Thanks for the reply
pdashop.nl wants 198- Euro w/ the Flex 40 2 year contract from T-Mobile.
I would be able to get the phone for free in a couple of weeks with the same contract
I guess the next step is to figure out how to change language on it without making it a paper weight.

HTC P3300. Phone / SPV - M650 Orange language, english. dutch, nederlands
I got an HTC P3300. Phone / SPV - M650 from Orange in Dutch, the local Orange shop can't figure out how to change the language in to English.
Has anyone found a good solution to this?
I al ready followed the links on this forum with no success.

Hey guys,
I just bought a Black (with 'Orange' branding on the back) Desire, that's otherwise unbranded and unlocked. Unfortunately the language support that I'm offered is "English - Taiwan, English - Singapore" etc.
What does this affect? I've set it to English - Singapore, I think, and the keyboard comes up fine (planning on using swype probably anyway) and everything looks like it's working.
Should I make efforts to set this to English - Australia? What are the risks in not changing it? I haven't checked the Market or anything yet (haven't put my sim in) but I imagine it won't affect market settings, regioning or connectivity?
If so, will MoreLocale do the trick? Cheers guys. It's a gorgeous phone, can't wait to load the sim in and set it up.
EDIT:
The phone doesn't appear to be picking up 3G, naturally. It's an a8181 on Vodafone here in Australia, so it uses the same frequencies, but for some reason I'm just not getting it. Any ideas?
Black Unlocked Desire
yea i thought about the nexus one but just dont like the trackball, not even sure how much id use it but i can wait another month or two, at that point if i still cant get the desire then i'll cave for the nexus one or something equivalent

Hi All,
Should I decide to buy a One X, I am considering ordering it from france through a friend, as most units sold here are without warranty, and the ones that come with warranty are usually overpriced.
I did the same for my current HTC Touch HD, but I got stuck with french ROM, couldn't install official english rom as the support site required my phone's serial and provided the rom accordingly.
If I get the one x from france, will i be able to change my phone language without spoiling warranty with custom roms?
I bought mine from France and i'm using it with english you get to choose the language when you first set up the phone.
gr8 news thx
In Android you have almost every language, so you shouldn't care about that
Hello,
I have noticed that there are a lot of language/locale combinations missing from my device, even though it is a WWE. For example, I can only choose English [US,UK] and only French [France], while in AOSP there are options like English [Germany, Switzerland], French [Switzerland], German [Switzerland], etc.
I am comfortable with using English or French as the phone language, but I am really not comfortable with not having the correct locale (e.g. US dates, UK currency, etc). The phone was bought in Switzerland, so it is kind of ridiculous that the Swiss locales are missing.
What about your variant? What locales are there? I am mostly interested in the US unlocked version, as I have no high hopes for the other variants.
