Full Skin Decals (frontand back) for Vibrant - Vibrant Accessories

I haven't seen a thread for these yet so I thought I'd post this. There are around 200 different skins and they look pretty good. If anyone has tried one let me know how well they work/look.
Here is the link:
http://www.techiewarehouse.com/Samsung-Vibrant-T959-Protective-Vinyl-Decals-s/3343.htm

I picked up one similar on Ebay - I guess the biggest pain is getting it on just right the first time around. If you mess up and have to re-apply, it tends to get stretched out.
Overall though, it stayed on my phone maybe 5 minutes before I decided that it made the phone look (AND FEEL) like something bought in the toy isle at a dollar store.

Of no use to me. I use the semi-hard rubber/silicone T-Mobile case and think out is awesome. Our has survived a couple drops without a scratch. However, that being said, Great Find! There are some *****in' cases/covers on that site.

From my Vibrant w/ Nero V3 & VooDoo

I bought the white one (reviewed it in a thread) and use the front only. I am pleased with this, the back looked like crap so i made, then bought a white battery cover.

I've gotten a few skins from SkinIt.com and they're always great quality, plus you can design your own (my personal preference.)

I thought about getting one, but I think I'm going to get a case-mate barely there case and call it a day. Plus, I don't want to spend $12 just to decide I don't like it after a week

Agreed for 99% of the designs. But the camo ones are great

I personally get mine from decalgirls: http://www.decalgirl.com/category.view/Samsung-Vibrant-Skins/1/30/0/0/0/0/1/0

Bah. Ebay is bar far the cheapest for these mighty skins. You can get three for $9 shipped!

I had a code to get a free skin. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks on the phone. since I already have a screen protector, I don't think I want to put the decal on the front, but the back looks cool. I went with the TRON disc skin.
http://www.skinit.com/images/web/product_shot/product_shot39547685.jpg

I received the skin yesterday and put it on my phone.
It looked cool, but the skin itself wasn't quite lining up with the edges around the phone leaving a rough edge along the sides where the skin ended.
I ended up taking it off and reapplying it a few times, but couldn't get it to sit right and had some small creases along the smaller edges and some bubbling. I ended up throwing it out since it got too messed up from trying to reapply it.
I'm glad that I got it for free. Since it didn't work out for me all that well, I'm glad I didn't lose out on any money.

Droid 2 Case Reviews!

I just reviewed Droid 2 cases here:
Droid 2 Hard Case:
http://droid2accessories.com/droid-2-accessories/droid-2-hard-case/
Body Glove Droid 2:
http://droid2accessories.com/droid-2-accessories/droid-2-case-review/
Both you can get at Verizon store but Amazon is like 30% cheaper.
Also, I like the hard case better, the Body Glove is waaay too bulky, they added waaaay too much padding, your Droid 2 becomes like a big brick afterwards. But might work for those of you who want a sturdier Droid 2.
Hey thanks for pointing out these rad cases. In the Amazon page it claims to come with a micro fiber cloth and a "screen protector". Did the kit you reviewed come with some sort of clear plastic stick on deal? I hope so, I'm itching to by the white one and storm trooper this beast.
Thanks dude.
The one I bought
The one I bought is the same but I bought it at my local Verizon store for $24.99 doesn't come with a screen protector. darn it. But yeah, that link is the best deal I found and is the exact same case, yey.
Thank you sir I'll post back with the quality of the screen protector, ordering NAOWWW!
Hey thought I'd let you know this case is fantastic! Fits much better than I expected and the white case got me the storm trooper look I was goin for.
I also ordered the OEM extended battery from Verizon (BP7X) and am happy to report that despite its larger size, the case still fits perfect! In fact, I think these were designed for BP7X.
If you look at Zeedomax's pictures, the case has a swell over the battery compartment... with the stock battery installed, there is space between phone and case. With BP7X, like a glove.
I'd also like to say the free screen protector isn't half bad. No glare, no rainbow effect, and doesn't inhibit touch screen usage. The bad: it doesn't take much to scratch. I scuffed it up installing with a credit card and my keys have already done a number on it.
Definitely get this case and the battery!
Use promo code "BAT30" for 30% off and free overnight shipping. (Mine was $37 or so.)
I got the 'carbine' case when I bought mine. It was $25 instore. Also Good luck finding matte screen protectors anywhere. I have somewhat tacky fingers and find that glossy protectors make my fingers catch. I ended up buying a iphone matte protector from best buy and trimming it down to fit (bit of irony no? haha!) stupid things where $18 to boot...

Thanks for the info guys. I'm curious if the keyboard opens and closes as smoothly as without case. I briefly tried one on my phone and it was noticeably different as if the phone was rubbing against the case while opening and closing.
Yes, there are two clips on the top half of the bottom cover (confusing I know) that rub against the back of the screen when sliding open. Now even though
I noticed a difference immediately, I was not turned off by this at all. It has warn the clips a bit since then and seems to slide a little more effortlessly now...
But to answer your question, NO the case does not hinder the phone in any SERIOUS way. I'd also like to note that this case will drive you crazy on the top row of your keyboard for the first day or two, but now I've already forgotten what it felt like with the case off. Basically, you had about 1-2mm's of space between the top row and the screen. Now that space is non existent. You'll get used to it!
The only thing that seriously erks me, is all the crap that's getting stuck between the case and the phone from extended miles in my pocket. I've already scuffed up the shiny metallic front face pretty bad.
I thought since we are discussing cases, I'd share the slip case I got for my D2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170524799245
It wasn't made for the D2, but it fits perfectly and it was cheap. Its already protected my phone from a drop of a few feet to a concrete floor. Most of all, I love the Android at the bottom of it, I thought it was perfect, especially for the price!
Do these cases have a hole for the noise cancelling mic?

Not a case, but I just got this piece of awesomeness. Love it. Makes the phone look 10,000 times sexier.

You are the biggest spamming tool I've ever seen on XDA forums. Go away. This is all you post on various devices' forums.
Yeah, this skin is awesome. There are some other phones that it looks even better on.
As to our friend hwc there, I went ahead and reported him so I'm hopeful he'll be banned.

Ringke case

I posted this elsewhere, but I figured Id post it here too.
So, I got my case the other day, and I can say this. This thing has a couple of features that you dont see anywhere else. I like the fit as well as the the look.
So Im guessing I wasnt the only one contacted by them, but Im sure that I wont be the last. I was expecting something cheaply made and nothing near this quality.
Two biggest things that I like about this case are as follows.
They have aux port plugs. I remember when phones actually came with these. My LG enV3 had one, but my Bolt doesnt. These are usefull and sit almost flush with the case without covering the mic hole. Great feature and they come in packs of two.
The other thing I really like about this case is how it was designed. Ive read a couple threads about people complaining about light leaks on the bottom and dust getting into the the phone from the bottom. These guys have brought up the bottom of the case so that it covers the break on the bottom. Thus eliminating dust being pushed in while it sits in your pocket.
The materials that this case is made from I like a lot better than my Seidio to be honest. It doesnt feel slippery or too smooth. It has a bit of a rough finish to it and that leaves you feeling less like its going to slip from your hand and crack. Coming from someone thats already had to have the digitizer replaced, thats a huge bonus.
I like it and overall, this case gets two thumbs up. The price is reasonable as well which is always good. For 20 bucks you can get a good combo deal from them. Even if you dont pick up one of their cases, the plugs alone are worth purchasing.
They gave me a Zune HD case and I fell in love. The moment they got it in stock I ordered one. May end up ordering another one down the line in a different color.
Where could I order just the plugs?
just go to http://www.rearthusa.com/
look up your phone and you should be good
Coupon code
If you type "Ringke Thunderbolt coupon" into Google, it will list a page that has the case, two audio caps and two screen protectors for $21, plus free shipping. I ordered yesterday. The only downside is you cannot choose the color of the audio caps.
The link is the second one on the google search engine: Under dealnews(dot)com

Ambitronic.com and TPU Fusion review

So I got my TPU fusion case from ambitronic.com today and let me say, the case is beautiful. Consider the amazing price and it's an unbeatable deal. With a 10% coupon code I found and adding a screen protector it was just under $7.00 shipped. I ordered it in the evening hours, it shipped the next day, and arrived 3 days later from California to Missouri, not bad at all. Unfortunately the screen protector I ordered didn't include the soft card and one of the stickers on the screen protector got stuck to it and left behind residue. Without the soft card I was unable to install it correctly and ended up tossing it in the trash, but at .95 cents I can't really complain, but wish I could have used it.
i have one too & it's a good case for the price...lame that it doesn't come with the card, good to know. for 95 cents, you really can't complain. you can always use a credit card or driver's license... (i'm in NY & they're pretty flexible...), for future reference.
Ordering one online now, hope that it's as good as everyone says it is!
I tried a debit card but it didn't really make a difference with the adhesive stuck on it, cause by the time I got that off, it was pretty much useless. The site says it comes with a soft card, so I assume most of them do, I just didn't have one in my package. Still loving the case tho. To hit the power button takes a little getting use to as you have to press it a little harder than normal with the case on, but it doesn't bug me that much after a couple days use.

give the case some time to wear in, about a week or so. the buttons will get softer to press over time. Ive had my case for about 6 months now and its perfect
Good to know about the buttons getting softer. Just got an email from Ambitronic this morning, I sent a link to this thread to them, they apologized for taking a few days to get back to me, blaming the rush of Touchpad accessories, which I completely understand, and offered to either refund the .95 or send me another screen protector, so the only down side I had they are taking care of. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend anyone to order from them, I know I will in the future.

Yes, their customer service is pretty stellar. I've never had a problem with them before.
I just ordered tons of stuff from them. Great prices great stock. Live the fusion cases,
Just a funny factor. The fusion case does not really work work the chargers they sell.. Had to trim the case for the chargers to fit lmao.. That's the only negative thing I've found so far...

This case is hands down the best bang for your buck case I have ever bought for any of my phones. I got it for about $5 on eBay, and its quality and performance is on par with $30 cases I've bought in the past. As for screen protectors, I've always bought from an eBay seller, XtremeGUARD. If anyone's interested, here's a link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/XtremeGUARD-HTC-My-Touch-4G-Premium-Screen-Protector-/230605503209?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item35b128bae9
Best screen protector I've ever used. Easy to put on, crystal clear, and extremely durable. It uses a soap and water mix as an adhesive, so it's nearly impossible to put it on incorrectly.
this case is pretty awesome gotta say. when i saw it i was like "man i want this case" xD, looked so good. But yeah the only charger that really fits in is the one i got when i first had the phone, can't use any others really because they'll fit just enough to plug in but its' easy to dislodge the charger from the plug, but oh well not that big a deal to me
that screen protecter i might look into cuz i kinda messed up with the one i have now, it's placed on correctly now, but i didn't get it that great the first time so it's kinda dusty but you barely notice it unless the screen's off.

It's practically impossible to mess up the XtremeGuard protector. Since you cover the protector in the soap/water mix, it slides around on the surface of the screen, making it easy to align perfectly or redo if some dust gets on the screen. Once you're satisfied, just let it sit a little before you squeegee out the water bubbles, then let it sit and dry into place.

Ghost Armor - Review

I like many people am looking for the best way to protect my phone and keep the sleekness of this device prevalent. After buying my Galaxy S III, I started my research right away. Unfortunately I work as a Carpenter and Installer and couldn't afford to keep my phone naked at work, so as I was looking for a case at my local mall I had seen the Ghost Armor kiosk and decided to give it a whirl.
Review!
To start I have had the device for a week now, and the shield just as long. As I stated above I work Construction, and my phone is one of my most invaluable tools while I'm out at a customers house, running errands, or just in the shop. I had the Galaxy S II (Sprint) and it went through hell, from dents in the sides to scratches on the screen to being dropped from the seat of our work van, it took quite a bit of abuse, I didn't want my S III to endure the same beatings my S II took. (Just a note, its now in my girlfriends care, safe and secure in her everlasting grip.)
Pro's
Covers screen and backing well.
Price isn't bad, $35 for my total.
Screen stays less oily and less streaky.
Does its job and prevents the screen from getting scratched.
Cons
Does not cover entire body.
The skin placement is only as good as the installers skills.
The carbonfiber backing option creates edges.
Exposed areas. (where some skins cover.)
While this product does do its job and did to it well it does leave a lot to be desired, I have seen skins out on the market that cover the entirety of the phone, and you would think getting it from a bigger name they would have a more complete skin for the product. It did do its job however, but then again for about $30.00 USD I could get an Otter-Box that would do the same and much more. I have attached pictures for anyone interested in how it looks.
In short I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone looking for full protection, as a screen protector its nice, but it doesn't offer as much as other wraps that I have seen online.
Would've looked better in black imo. But thanks for sharing.
Ghost Armor is kind of overpriced. I had it on my one S and will never buy again.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I've used Ghost Armor screen protectors on my last three phones - Inspire, Skyrocket, and now S3. I like the screen protectors because they still feel pretty slick (probably not quite as much as the actual glass, but they don't tend to "catch" your fingers) and they don't seem to change the screen's appearance (at least not that I can tell).
However, I have never put a skin on any of my phones (I've only used cases), so I cannot personally comment on the quality of those.

Quite a few people have said that, but I like the white and have no regrets on getting it in white. At least me sharing the pictures will help others decide if they like the pebble blue with a white carbon-fiber backing. To each their own.

I DIG the white on the blue! got me thinking about it. just have to think about which color I would get with my white phone.
price is $35?
wow... it's pricey
You will regret the white. Had it installed on my wife's phone and it picks up dirt like you wouldn't believe.... looks horrible after that.....
Hey Just want to let everyone know if you like this look and don't wanna cut your own.I searched all last night and found a company that doesn't have those seems on the corner I even emailed them to make sure here it is http://www.xgearlive.com/products/android/samsung/exoskin-s-iii
I just ordered one
thanks for the review.
You forgot to mention the lifetime warranty. Don't like the colour? Pay the 5 bucks labour and have them change the colour. I got the green but it wasn't bending over the edges well. Went back and they swapped the back with carbonfibre gunmetal grey. Looks great, left the green sides on just so I can easily find it on my desk/bed/wherever. Love this. I didn't find it pricey at all when I compared it to the invisashield and others that get all scratched up and faded. If this happens to this, you just pay 5 bucks and they'll slap a new one one. I also agree that the screen protector is far less grippy than the invisashield so it's more enjoyable to use.
I'm going to get my nexus 7 done next I think.
I like the fact that their Kiosks are popping up all over the place. They have 2 in the same mall local to me. I paid 20 bux for the front screen protector installed. I have them install it for me and they do a great job. IF they don't have one for your phone, which is the case with Galaxy S II and III since they sell out of them often, they can be talked into cutting one out custom for it.

Don't buy the Double Dip Flip!!!

Hi
I just thought i would share my experience after a month with the official DDF case, a case that is lacking in both design and durability. I got the case free of charge when i took out my contract with Vodafone and put it straight on the phone as soon as soon as it left the box and that's where the 1st issue came up, the case didn't actually close! Laying it on a flat surface just resulted in the the front of it springing open as there is nothing to keep it closed however after a few days it was worn in a bit and sorted itself out. Also for £25 the quality isn't that great.
After a week i took the phone out the case and to my horror it was badly scratched on the back due to tiny bits of grit getting caught in there and this is purely down to the design as there are 2 slits on the back which allows it to go into a stand but they let small pocket stuff in and if they are solid in any way they will get pressed between the case and the phone resulting in scratched aluminium. Luckily i got a replacement phone due to another issue.
I have had it on my new black One for a couple of weeks now whilst i get round to getting a new one however i have been cleaning it out daily to ensure it doesn't happen again however the case has just started falling apart. The rubber trim around the case has all peeled off and the matte finish is peeling off too, leaving a shiny plastic underneath and the red suede interior is now a dull black on some parts.
This is the worst case i have ever had for a phone and this is only with 4/5 weeks worht of use. I would strongly suggest people spend there money on a different case.

They look good, hadn't seen them before and reasonably priced too. However, I've already gone for the Otterbox Commuter which is cheaper than this POS HTC case
I have pretty much the same problem. I love the case, I love the look of it, but it's coming undone around the edges...
Same situation here with mine.
Red felt is going black, the rubber edge has all come off and stuff keeps getting caught on the back. luckily it hasnt scratched my baby but it is annoying.
Any suggestions for a replacement case that does the same as this? I love how it folds into a stand
I have had this problem with almost every case I have ever had. That is why i put a full bad shield invisible shield on my phone and then put them in the case.
I also received the case free with my contract phone so i decided to use it until i bought a case that i liked. I used it for 4-5 weeks and the case still looks quite new. Obviously the red felt has faded a bit but that was expected. The only real problem i saw was that the Microphone hole didnt line up properly with the phone's Mic hole which is a bit stupid.

I bought this before reading reviews.
I agree that durability is poor, and have had peeling. Luckily not had scratches.
With regard to last point about Mic hole there's an updated version that fixes this.
I got updated replacement sent free, without requesting, from HTC accessories UK.

Had this case since 2 weeks ago, first problem was that the hole at the bottom was not aligned to the microphone hole properly (which greatly affected call quality) so I had to manually align it. The back leaves two light grey streaks on the back of my black HO from where the slits are, but with a good wiping they disappear. The red felt is starting to fade as well. Planning to replace it when the fixed version of the Poetic Atmosphere comes back in stock at the end of the month.
Thanks for heads jo mate. Will not buy

is an excellent case. It's a plastic shell case with two speaker covers which lock the phone in from the bottom and the top. Great fit, great feel, great case. 1 outta to ain't bad I guess.

Is HTC.com the only place to buy this case? I want to grab one today but fear ordering direct and waiting a few weeks (it's backordered) is the only way to get one.
Do any of the carriers or Best Buy carry this exact one?

ericshmerick linked the right one. Also, the other case HTC makes for the ONE should tell you everything you need to know since HTC only makes TWO cases for this phone, thus if you've used the power of deductive reasoning it would've taken you to http://www.htc.com/www/accessories/htc-double-dip/ which is a great case. Looks much better on the phone itself too.

Simple and keeps the look of the phone too and the colour.
My DDF has scratched the top of my aluminium due to debris from either my pocket or something else getting in, marks aren't very big but they're ugly and I can see them.
Really p*ssed me off, and seeing as the DDF should cost £30 in a phone shop i think it's a joke.
As for the other DD case, man it is ugleeeeeey, it looks like a sad one eyed cartoon. Feels cheap and nasty.
FYI I have both the DD cases.
