[Q] Gingervillain Themes

I just flashed Gingervillain, I want to know if CM7 themes will work with Gingervillain 1.5, also if there is, is there Metamorph themes for it?
most likely not since most cyan 7 themes are updated to work with RC1 and the new nightlys

The CM themes are all, for the most part, for the T-Mobile theme engine they worked on with T-Mobile and that engine isn't included in GV. There is a theme engine in the works for GV though

So basically I'm going to have to wait till a new version of GV to be released with the themes. There's no Metamorph skins for GV?

Aosp and themes

Are all themes made for aosp compatible with any aosp based rom.

I don't think so. Each theme is made to my knowledge on a version base thus some themes don't work for cm6 because they are intended for cm7 and vise versa.
Now if you are talking of say cm7 and the destroyer Rom by Magnus then in a sense they have the same base so chances are they should use the same theme. Best to just check with the dev to ensure the theme works with certain Roms.

Custom 3.0 lock screen rings

I have seen the topic in the thundebolt forums and was wondering if we could get this working on our inc2 sense 3.0 roms I tried to flash one but no success running miks 1.3 build

No replies so I did a little more reading and it needs the stock skin to show up so I changed to that skin and boom it works anyone who would like to use just look in thunderbolt themes and flash the zip in cwm. Pretty cool change

Can you theme stock rom?

The reason I bought my Nexus 4 is to forget about flashing custom roms and stuff! I like to use stock and rooted, but I notice that all themes are only compatible with cm 10.1 or AOKP roms, so my question is if there is a way to theme the stock rom framework the way u can in cm10.1 or AOKP? Thanks

Yes, it's possible. You can pull the appropriate files and decompile, theme, recompile, sign, then push it back to the phone (that will require a lot of patience and technical ability). You can also try using ZipThemer, but I haven't found any compatible ZipThemer themes in the N4 forums -- in fact, I'm not even sure tgat ZipThemer is compatible.
But the easiest way would undoubtedly be to flash a ROM with Theme Chooser capabilities and pick from the almost-thousand themes available.
Btw, is it okay if I ask why you don't plan to customise the s**t out of your N4? Personally, the only reason I bought the Nexus is because of the immense dev support, and also to teach myself a bit of programming and modding along the way.

You could flash a deodexed stock ROM, then you'll have a very theme-able "stock framework".
Yeah but the thing is that when I start flashing roms then it's like an illness that I can't stop, I lost so much time on my galaxy s3 flashing roms tweaking and modding, man it just gets crazy! Also the update to 4.2.2 it's coming soon so I wanna stay on stock rom to get it as soon as it comes out!
