How do I disable the dock bar hide/ show swipe feature. Also lock will not go away, I've tried disabling it with the widget and also with no lock app but doesn't work. I'm on the latest rc of cm6.

I dont think its a CM7 issue, but as the default launcher is ADW, Ill ask here first.
The main dock (with action buttons) gets removed from the screen if inadvertently 'swiped'
When it disappears, it leaves a darkened line across the bottom of the screen. Some random prodding and swiping seems to reinstate it some times, but its a bit flakey.
a) If the desktop is locked - why is this item easily removed?
b) whats the correct action to get it back on screen if its lost?
Any ideas?
Its an annoying feature of adw
Swipe down dock goes off n a new dock where u can put other app shortcut
SWIPE UP to get the main dock back
I dont remember how to disable it
I use LPP
Sent from my MB525 using XDA Premium App
To disable it: Settings > ADW Launcher > UI Settings > Uncheck "Hidden Dockbar". Done.
Hmm that works.
A little counter-intuitive perhaps as its already checked to start with (and the dockbar shows) but unchecking it certainly seems to work! Thanks
Recently purchased widget locker but I can't seem to get the lockscreens to stick,After awhile it goes back to stock. I enabled it and everything......please help?
Go into WL settings...Go to Advanced Settings ... Click on Disable Stock Lockscreen settings...Enable Easy Wake Mode...
In advanced, enable Root Helper and all the check boxes under it
Is there an app that allows direct access to one of the developer options so I can easily toggle it? I'm running stock, unrooted.
Here's the issue: Just upgraded to 4.3, and there's a bug that resets the Transition Animation Scale back to 1x whenever you run the Camera app. Right now I have to do Settings > More > Developer Options > scroll down to Transition Animation Scale > set to None > exit. PIA every time I use the Camera.
What I'd like is to have a script that runs the Camera app and then on exit automatically resets the animation option. Short of that I'd settle for a direct link to the option setting.
Any help appreciated.

Sent from my GT-I9505G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
if you use say Nova launcher you can long press the home screen select shortcut/activity or app/ and can choose things like you are wanting and itll make an icon as if it was an app on your homescreen

Good thought. I am actually using Nova. Just looked through all the available Activity links but don't see direct access to the specific option I need to toggle.
I've also installed the Developer Options app, which does allow one click access to the Dev Options, so that's better than drilling down through Settings, etc.
Is there a way I can choose which notification shows up on the lockscreen? Specifically I want to have only one app show notification on the lockscreen, but not others. In order to do that I have to disable notifications of all other apps. But I want other apps to show notification in the notification bar, just not on the lock screen. Any way to do this?

On nougat, theoretically yes. Go to settings -> notifications. Then click the settings gear at the top. Should give lock screen notification options of all, hide sensitive content, hide all.
I think you can hide all here, then go to the individual app you want to show, and change it to show for that specific app.
Never tried this myself. Ymmv.

Once I choose "don't show at all" under settings - notification, I cannot enable notification on the lockscreen for specific app. However doing the exact opposite might do the trick. Under settings - notification, I choose "show all contents", then for specific app, I can choose "don't show" on the lock screen. This is very tedious, but it might do what I want my phone to do...

Once you clicked don't show notification at all, click on a app or game that you want to display the notification in lockscreen.
Then click "On the lockscreen" then "show all notification content".
Hope this helps you.
Within Nova Settings > Home Screen, you can set 'Transition effect' to None. That's how I like it.
However, it appears this can no longer be done in Nova Settings > App drawer. The only 'Transition animation' options there are now Zoom, Slide up and Fade.
Each of these makes accessing the app drawer feel slow.
