Does anyone know how to disable the trackpad notification light while keeping the charging/LED notifications working? I am on CM6.1.1 and I know you can go to Menu > Settings > Sound > Pulse Notification Light to disable the trackpad light, but it also disables the top LED as well.
I'm assuming it's just a simple lights.vision.so edit to get what I want, but I have no idea how to do that. Any help?

The LED notification light will not flash for messages or specific set notifications . All LED settings are turned on, each was turned off and back on, LED notification is turned on, accessibility LED is turned. Battery was removed and reinstalled. No change. Several suggestions online regarding installing an LED manager. Installed Lightflow, no change., uninstalled. Currently installed Light Manager, no change. With LED managers checked box in Security for downloaded apps access to notification. When I turn off LED notification and then turn back on, I checked each feature for notification and the light blinks to confirm color, but then will not blink when an actual notification happens. Any ideas?

Have you tried settings>accessibility> scroll all the way to bottom and activate the service for whatever notification app you are using.

Yes that was the first thing done.
Don't know if this also applies to you:
If you go withing settings to Display-->LED notifications and do a long-press on that one you can find a number of check-marks.
The last one is for "Downloaded applications" - I had the same issue once when a check-mark was missing there

Hi,
is it possible to get the led more light without a app?
Kernel settings?
Thanks
I think in hidden menu there is a options for maxing out LED brightness, correct me if i'm wrong.
Thanks,
found the menu, but where are the led settings?
Anyone have any methods to disable the capacitive back and recent LED lights?
I'm on OrionOs, great ROM but no settings to disable LED and it's driving me bats!
Thanks!
I had posted this question on the rom thread they I'm running - AquariOS - but thought I'd open this up for discussion here as I suspect it's a 'feature' rather a bug.
Is it still possible to have the notification light on when in modes do not disturb etc? I just want a mode that disables ringtones and vibrate but still allows for the LED notification light. In some situations for example at work, I'm happy for my phone to be out on the table, wishing for no sound/vibration to occur but be able to check the notification light for notifications.
I'm using Light Manager to handle my custom app light settings and when I activate do not disturb mode and attempt to test the LED settings (clicking 'test' and turning the screen off) it doesn't light up. So it's definitely the case that these modes disable the light.
I don't want to use ambient mode and I've tested the notification light in Alarms Only do not disturb, alarms only and priority and seemingly all of them block the light entirely - happy to be corrected if I've missed a setting!
Running latest AquariOS 8.1 rom.
Hopefully this is possible and without the need for a third party app...
Any suggestions?
Could the setting you're looking for be 'allow visual disturbances' or visual signals in notification settings?

Thanks for responding.
Well to answer this question, I don't have any of the "block..." when screen is off options under the Block Visual Disturbances section (see attached), which unfortunately doesn't appear to solve this....
Just want to be able to have the light on in a non-sound and non-vibrate mode, given the little LED light hardly 'disturbs' me!

Did you find a solution for your problem? I am having the same problem with OmniRom.

Nope, never did.
I *think* it's an Android 'feature', rather than a bug. Just wish it was optional and be able to have that little light disturb me instead of a complete unresponsive phone when a notification would come on in the do not disturb mode.... I wish for a 'no vibrate but light' mode...
Has anyone noticed that the setting to turn on the notification light is now missing in Android p? Does anyone have any alternatives to enabling it?
Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications > Blink light
