Hey I flashed to a 2.2 custom rom and that rom uses the galaxy s messaging app and I wanted to see if someone can post the stock messaging app (green icon)? I'm not too fond of the new messaging app and would like to go back.

Look for the non bubble messaging app here in the theme section. If you can't find it both themes in my sig uses the none bubble app. You cab either flash the full theme it delete everything from the zip leaving mms.apk

Is there any way to get emojis with sms without using third person sms apps...I know AOKP and CM have emoji in their messaging apps, so is there any way to do the same with the stock messaging on S3? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure those were added in. Unless you're only talking about the stock android ones.

I know within the stock Samsung messaging app you can change the text bubbles and the background. My question today is...it's it possible to use custom message bubbles and background?
If so where's would I have to place those files for them to be usable within the app?
Thanks

I do not believe this is possible as of right now. I have not seen any other threads indicating it's possible. I too would like to see this happen though.

Wow do I actually get to contribute something for once?? LoL I'm so used to absorbing all the knowledge here being the noob I am.
Aside from what the others recommended, I haven't seen any easy ways to add custom bubbles but I did recently notice that you can easily change the background to a custom picture.
If you go into your messaging settings and choose to change the background, there's an option to add your own picture whether it be from your gallery or directly from your camera. The one and only downside is that you're limited to one custom background at a time... if you change it, your new choice will overwrite the old. No big, tho.
I remember looking for this option back on ICS but never found it so I'm assuming it was added with the JB update.
(I'm running on rooted stock ROM, btw.)

I did this for my GS2 because I love blue and gray together. I am using an mms.apk from a rom in the dev section right now, but this weekend I'll try to work on theming the stock mms.apk with different colors. I'll upload when/if I get time this weekend.

Hey I'm on paranoid Rom which I think is great by the way I was just was wondering is there a way to have the touchwiz mms app instead of the asop one I like the way the text are in bubble format I know I can use another app but I like the stock look can anyone help thanks in advance

No you have to be on touchwiz as far as I know. You could download the cm10 touchwiz theme and I think it themes the MMS to look like touchwiz a bit.

Oops...My finger slipped, You got a free thanks from me
Anyways, the TW messaging app relies on the TW framework, so someone would have to modify and and remove the TW framework dependencies for it to work on an AOSP ROM.

Look in the settings of the AOSP messaging, there is an option there to change the look of the app, you can make them bubbles like you are talking about
mms slideshow
I was on goodness rom 6.2 mms pictures were not shown as slideshow now 6.3 update mms pictures are shown as slide show is there a way to change it back the way it was
I'm looking for a flashable zip of the stock touch wiz messaging app, I love my rom (Moar rom) but I don't care for the tweaks made to the messaging app, if someone could point me the right way that would be great, I didn't see anything when I searched.

In themes and apps. There's a aosp thread, I that he has a back to stock messaging. Delete the molded one before flashing. Or change it to .bak or whatever

Just wondering if there's a messaging app from the 4.4 roms (the one that's all dark) that can be flashed on stock rom?

You can install 8sms http://goo.gl/6djVHp from Play Store, it is pretty similar to the CM stock messaging app and it works great on stock ROM.
