I have downloaded quite a few softwares to control my Windows Media Player on my laptop using my SX66 but for some reason the softwares seem to work with WIFI ONLY and I don't see any option for bluetooth. I have downloaded and tried Zerama and Rudeo. Any help will be great.

Try My mobiler : www.mymobiler.com
Freeware
My Mobiler is an awesome application. The best thing is its free and actively developed!
Its way better than the commercial SOTI Pocket Controller pro which was around 40 bucks or something when i last saw.

Carty..
thanks
this software works with phone sound? the sound of mobile phone exit from speakers?
if this software dont make calls have oder??
No sorry, but try it. Great to reconfigure all your stuff after a flash.
This software permit to control keyboard and mouse input from your PC to your PPC. You'll see the PPC screen in a window on your PC.
No sound transfer available but you can record a movie or snapshot.
Works with Activsync over USB or BT, and direct IP connection too
Yes, by remote desktop
Try this:
https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/Mobile/Home.aspx
You can try the trial and with this web app you can do the remote desktop, and access some information related to the system, like batery running process, event, and trensfer files.
Thanks RE
First off Hi all and Im no longer a XDA virgin, or I wont be in a few days anyway
I borrowed my mates old mobile phone that has mobile 2003 SE to see if I could control my desktop pc with it, thats running vista 64bit, so I can turn on my desktop pc, run winamp and play all my tunes from my bed. I must of tried 2 or 3 bits of software with no luck each time. then I noticed the "Terminal Services Client" that win mobile had. That sort of worked and I did remotly ran winamp, but it wouldnt play for some reason?? But the software kept hanging and crashing so I couldnt really do much anyway. Ive looked for another version of "Terminal Services Client" for windows mobile but theres none.
Tonight Ive just bought my first mobile/pocket pc "SPV M2000 / HTC Blueangel" for £60. Its been upgraded to windows mobile 6.1, so my question is will I have better luck with remote desktop on windows mobile 6.1 and does 6.1 has "Terminal Services Client"? If not what is the best software for remote desktop for win remote 6.1?
vncviewer
can't answer your question about 6.1, but a good simple solution might be the decent little vncviewer program for windows mobile on sourceforge. works good on my htc wizard 100 (a.k.a. cingular 8125) running winmo 5.0. I use UltraVNC server on the PC - good encryption and the works. not sure whether the remote assistance or terminal services is as secure.
For me tihs is the best:

there's two big different strings of remote desktop programs, one logs you in and you have your pc's desktop on your device's display and you have the full pc experience, but, it logs you off on your pc, like pc to pc remote connection. the other one is to control your pc and still have the pc running for itself, just as an external control or HID device.
if you want the first, the full experience, i would recommend wm6 rdp, just google it, it is freemail and works like a normal remote desktop, meaning you need to configure your router and your pc to do that. it's freeware by the way. in general i would not use iton a blueangel, because 240*320 is just too little to have an overview of the pc's desktop, which, in my case has a resolution of 1680*1050. i do use that program on my universal though, and it works just fine.
the other thing is to use the HID, the bestestest program for that is ppc tablet, unfortunately it is not free, but it's great, you stay logged on to your pc and can control winamp and any other program, use your touchscreen as a touchpad, like a notebook's mouse, you have a lot of possibilities. here are some links you might want to have a look at, too.

will add more, when i found them, but you can also search for remote desktop in the forum and you find a lot of results, that might help you get it to work.
EDIT: here is the link i was looking for:

this is the official great round-up of the best remote desktop programs out there, you can look up, what you need, what and if you are willing to pay for that and the functuionality it offers
Thanks guys.. I will have a play about when I get the phone hopefully tomorrow. Basically what I need the phone todo, is turn on my desktop from standby, run shortcuts I have in my start menu of my playlists, control winamp and put my desktop pc back onto standby. Then I dont have to get out of my pit at all,. What would be nice aswel, if the phone could remember my password so I dont have to log on to windows each time.
oooh, i just saw... "turn on my desktop from standby", that could become difficult, since neither the real remote desktop services, nor the addon services can run in standby and realize your approach of access, for example: some services like ppc tablet (which would be great for your winamp uses) need a server program running on your pc and a client software running on the ppc, but technically the server wouldn't run in standby, and as i mentioned before rdp services do neither, the pc needs to be turned on and connected to your network to be accessable. plus there is no such thing as "power on wlan", so that wouldn't work either. putting the computer into standby isn't that much of a problem, with ppc tablet you can simply navigate the mouse cursor to do so, in rdp services there is no direct function for standby, because in the version you get on your screen, the start menu's shut down,... commands are changed, but you can make a shortcut on the desktop to do so. i don't know about the command now, but google certainly will.
I did try the wakeup on lan, when I tried it with my mates phone, and it did wake me pc up but the "Terminal Services Client" on his phone kept crashing for some reason, and winamp loaded but couldnt get it to play for some reason.
Hi all,
Sorry if this seems lazy, I've done a bit of searching and could really use a couple of tips on which direction to go:
Touch HD, using streaming media app or coreplayer, looking to stream music and video to my mobile, NOT on home wifi.
On home PC i've got videolan / vlan and winamp, which runs Orb through Winamp Remote (I'm having problems getting winamp remote working, but that's for another forum). Looking at vlan stream setup, it wants me to tell it the IP for the PC i'm going to stream to, and the port.
The streaming media app on the phone wants the URL of the rtsp srteam it's connected to. If I put my mobile's IP into vlan at home and tell it to stream, nothing seems to happen (port left at 1234). If I open streaming media on the mobile and point it to my home PC & port 1234, it says invalid URL.
Basically, I don't have a clue what I'm doing and I'm hoping someone has a link to a guide, or can suggest the way to go about it, or even explain/link to the principles - do I aim the stream at the phone or at an intermediary where I can then also aim the phone to pick it up?
All help much appreciated!!
Cheers

OK, done some more research, read around some more, and went with Orb. If anyone else is in the same place I was in the post above:
1. goto orb.com and download the software, install it, set it up.
2. open IE on your mob & goto http://mycast.orb.com
3. save the resultant page as a favorite
4. put your login deets in and away you go. When you select stuff by browsing through the menus it'll load any played files in windows media player by default.
