Hello,
I just received my Malata ZPad 1002 version which i bought from Merimobiles.com.
So far it working flawless and extremally fast ( never had such a fast tablet ).
But when i try to root it - it just doesnt happends.
I have tried with Z4's , i have tried with Superoneclick's, ADB's - everything which i have found so far, and still nothing.
When i use Z4root - it restarts, but i dont have root permissions after.
When i use Superoneclick - there is a message popuped what i'm having root permissions but actually i have not.
Please help.
Deleted sorry...
I had no issues with installing Z4 on with mine.
From what I have seen of others who have had problems in other parts of the series of steps to full market, is the confusion over sdcard and sdcard1
When instructions say put it in the root of the sdcard they mean the internal fixed one and not the one you insert.
The 4GB internal card with is called "internal" on the zpad's file manager.
Malata T2 ZPad SMB-1002-WIFI rooting anyone got?
Help help help
please someone help me I am desperate
I need root

You must have a file manager installed on your phone. Go to Play Store and install ES File Explorer. Start it, and in the upper part you will see sdcard, click it and select sdcard1 (this is your sdcard).
Go to the location in your sdcard1 where you put framaroot, click it and install it.
Yesterday i updated my C1905 to new firmware (15.1.C.2.8) with PC Companion, and rooted my phone with the tutorial you mentioned,
and everything has gone well.

download ur phone model firmware and download flashtool ...then flash ftf,...just search in Xperia m thread
I am a newbie to Android.
This is my first handset.
C2004 Build Number 15.2.A.2.5
(Xperia M Dual with Indian firmware)
I had tried all the methods, which are available our forum, and failed to get positive result.
Please help me someone, who is using same firmware, to get rid of my low memory issue.
I know apps to SD will not work on XM
I tried link2SD.
but, result is boot loop.
my handset is restarting after Xperia Logo.
I am using Verbatim UHS-1 class 10 64GB card.
i had partitioned my sd card and second partition is deleted to overcome restarting issue.
usually I make a partition on that unused space(10GB) in ext2 while doing experiments.
I have also one more issue,
.thumbnails folder become huge.
now it is 850MB !!!!! (aboubt half of our memory)
Can I transfer these thumbnails to external SD card??
Any one please :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Bro you must be half rooted that's why you are getting bootloop, did you used remount reboot fix by nut after rooting?
And you can't move the thumbnails to extsd, better update your album app...it solves the problem of oversize thumbnail problem

for how to install driver from flashtool ---> install Flashtool Driver.exe which is located in C:\Flashtool\drivers folder ....select all and install..it will ask lot of permission...give yes for all...then u r ready
and for guide how to flash see here ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963961
Thannks
Thanks to both of you for guiding me.
going through the threads, which has given to me, it is known that our second partition should be in fat32.
I always tried ext!!!
maybe that was the problem of my boot loop
I will try & Inform you the results
OMG!!!!!
What did I said!!!
I am on locked boot loader with stock ROM 4.2.2
those bootfix scripts will not work with 64bit windows?????
Once I had successful bootfix on 32bit Windows 7
(I had made more than 20 attempts)
My second partition was in FAT32
I was able to link apps
but still my internal memory is not increasing even after linked&moved apps; Why?
As I am using windows, I couldn't copy data files to second partition.
Then how could I install games?
after that, I had installed more than 10 apps
due to high drain of battery, I had to hard reset my phone.
Now I am not able to fix boot loop :crying:
Please guide me....
(Now All rooting methods fails, but still I could install superSU manually
& root checker shows I have root access.
Installed busybox..
and all root required apps works without any problem)

Sounds like you may not be properly rooted. I am on 4.4.4 rooted and i installed the same sdfix app you mentioned and my 3rd party apps have write permissions to sd card.

Thanks for the response --- I followed the thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900 for rooting my phone --- do you have any advise to re-root? or diff. way to root our phone... I checked root checker and it appears normal but you might be correct.
Try this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2807092
Best solution for rooting but firstly install new rom 4.4.4 unbranded generic and try this method this is one click method from @munjeni my favorite method. After that you will have root and buaybox and recovery. And after this flash again sdfix and try to move sth to exsd

You can try what mosespl mentioned, or you can try easy root tool again (that's what I used and it worked the first time). I saw a lot of people in the easy root tool thread were "half" rooted, or things appear to be rooted but SuperSU failed up update binaries because r/w on system was missing (or something like that, I'm a bit new to all this as well).

try flash this patch in recovery to disable RIC if your rom support init.d ... if not, you can also use script manager to give it(99diasbleric) ROOT permission and set it to run at boot.

Test your old sdcard with a card reader on PC to check if the card is real defective.
Yesterday I put a microsd in z1c and it just can't mount but the card just working fine in windows. At last, I used a USB OTG Cable to connect the card reader with the microsd card and z1c asked me to format it this time and the sd card working fine after that.

I actually tested it in Windows and Linux OS -- its 100% broken unfortunately, anyways thanks -- hope I can avail the warranty for this sdcard.
Dear friends,
I am Vicky , New for this forum.
Recently I upgraded my HTC one M8 from kit Kat to lollipop. Before upgraded, everything works fine but after upgrade, I have faced one problem that, OTG function is working fine for mouse, wireless mouse and SanDisk pen drive (memory stick 8gb). But when I tried to use Transcend (memory stick, 8gb)(it worked well for kit Kat and also in Xiaomi Mi3 device) it is showing the message that "usb storage is safe to remove". I tried to solve this problem by 1) safe mode boot, 2) wipe cache partition 3) factory reset. But non of these methods works for this. So I think, I have to reinstall the update. But I don't want to disturb the factory functions by.. rooting, unlocking, S-Off etc.,
Please suggest me how can rectify this problem?
My Device info: HTC one M8Y
updated software version: 4.18.708.12
I tried to update it manually by downloading OTA file, placed it in sd card and renamed the zip file as "ptt.zip", then tried to recover from sd card. Then, it is giving an error message that, /system/priv-app/Calendar.apk does not exist. But when I checked the path, I have found the Calendar.apk in this path "/system/priv-app/Calendar/Calendar.apk " .
Please help me in this regard.
Thank you in advance.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

My wife has a d5316, which she is totally happy with except for the lack of internal memory. The phone is on 5.1.1 and i rooted it with " kingroot". I would like to
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t2-ultra/general/lp-debloating-script-performance-t3453452 and i was trying to swap the internal memory with a 64 gb
Sd card i put in it, using https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php.
So i downloaded root browser ( jrummy apps inc.) , i found 2 different /etc
Files, and neither one had the vold.fstab folder i was looking for. I didnt try to mount r/w. Because i wanted to locate the file first. Was this vold file moved to a new location in 5.1.1 ? I just dont wanna brick her phone cause I'll never hear the end of it.
I'm just not sure which posts are still good and which are outdated, so if anyone can plz help me accomplish my goals i would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou in advance for any help anyone can offer.
