+1 on this
The dual locks would be awesome.
Pretty sure I would **** bricks if we had a lockscreen like that. I use sms popup, but this would be awesome.

once the source is released for our phone we'll get a CM rom. then we'll have this.
I had it on my hero, it was pretty slick.
Widget Locker does this.

If we're talking about the lockscreen then, like alfiej said, widget locker can fill it up with sliders and widgets. I do have a question about that link tho. Does the gingerbread lockscreen actually have multiple sliders and/or can it be customized like that on stock? Or is the multiple sliders a change made in CM6.1?

I really don't like running apps in my background (especially lockscreens).
1. They dont work all the time.
2. They take up too much memory.
I used widget locker and my phone died much faster than without it. I had my phone unplugged yesterday for 15 hours before it got down to 80%. With it, it was down at like 60%. Sorry dude.
No need to apologize dude, I just was naming what does this. I bought widget locker a few weeks ago and got a refund within an hour so I feel your pain.

What's dope about this one is above the sliders you can draw gestures and it will automatically launch those apps
I actually really like our stock lock screen because it basically has these same features. I'd probably go for this one if it was available to us because I like the vanilla layout better.

Its possible yes....
This is achieved with an app called WidgetLocker...
The possibilities to create your own unique lockscreen is virtually endless..
no i dont mean widget locker. This picture is from a custom rom. And this lockscreen is no app, its an modified stock lockscreen.

Well.. then they have built the widgetlocker app into the ROM...
It's not that unique..
Call it whatever you want,, you can duplicate it with WidgetLocker.

I dont think its widgetlocker...
I mean if they edit their framework (i dunno which .xml it is), they can get this as a normal lockscreen...

Correct.... but OP asked how to achieve the effect on SG2
And the answer to that is WidgetLocker...
I could also write that we could make a launcher for him, but who would bother do that just for the lockscreen which you can mod with stock Touchwiz launcher...
I attached my lockscreen just as an example...

True ^^
I just wanted to say that because i didn't see the WL icon on the statusbar (i've never used it so i dunno if it's always there)
And i was also wondering because it's 99% the same as the original one (the bar on the bottom is the 1% which isn't normal)
and also his carrier is there on top (vodafone.de)

Hi,
just a quick question, how did you get the batter percentage on the lock screen and also missed call, sms email etc icons? I already have widgetlocker but did not see these options. (mine is has now been rooted)

All android phones have this lockscreen built in, its just a matter of how you
enable it. with my last phone i could delete htclockscreen.apk and my phone
would then have that lockscreen. I dont know the exact procedure to enable
this lockscreen on the sgs2, normally its done by the rom chef and you can
select it in the settings.
Look or ask here for info if you dont want some 3rd party lockscreen (which i dont)

Thank u esk02k:
This is what i was looking for, but i dont know exactly if its possible to use this on SGS2?
I m sure everyone who had a SGS1 with a custom rom know what i mean and what i m looking for.
Did you mean the Android Stock Lockscreen?
Yes Sir
If anyone is willing to spend some time for me, I can get it working. I don't have a device to test. I got good experiance with lockscreens.

Great, I'm also intrested in this as I don't like the Samsung Lockscreen and Widgetlocker is a bit buggy sometimes. I'm also available to test something if you need me to
Ok done. Now i am on a rooted KE7 Firm. Just send me a pn when you´r ready
Is there a Deodexed ROM for KE7? It would be hard to work with Odexed rom, since you have to re-odex the files using your device and ADB.
Had this phone for Two days now and LOVE it. Way better then evo 3d I had. Only issue I have is I struggle to unlock it every time. Maybe the size maybe the touchwiz screen. Either way it makes me crazy. Anyone make a suggestion of a different lock screen that is stable and won't mess up the excellent battery life.
Btw I have no interest in rooting but don't mind buying an app if needed. Also I have no issue with other parts of touchwiz just the lock screen.
I use widget locker. You can set that up any way you'd like. I have the stock aosp lock screen. Does wonders.

Widget locker allows you to customize the lockscreen with a ot of different options. So the AOSP lockscreen is when you slide the icon across to unlock you phone. It is Androids stock lock screen that ships with Android if Samsung or HTC wouldn't add their own.
Agile lock is pretty good too. It gives you a lockscreen similar to sense 3.0

I replaced my stock lock screen with widget locker and haven't experienced any problems (including battery life). It could be that people using widget locker are placing battery intensive widgets on their lockscreen.
Yeah I haven't had any problems with battery life or any slow downs either. This phone handles the battery and speed well. You can set it up however you like, the possibilities are endless. You can even download themes. I just like it so much because I don't have to use the original lock screen for our phone.

Thanks again! I downloaded and have been playing with widget locker and love it so far. Only question I have is ... Is there some way to get rid of the icon in the notification bar that shows widget locker ongoing. I keep thinking there is something I have not checked and it kinda bothers me. Tried to find a setting to get rid if it but no luck. Thanks again

Lol I must have looked at that thing 20 times. Thanks!
I've been using Codename Android for a while and one thing i really liked was the clock on the LOCKSCREEN being centered.
I've now moved to AOKP where the clock is like the stock one, aligned to the right.
I'm hoping for a mod or hack that can center the LOCKSCREEN clock and all other text thats displayed there.
preferably something easy and flashable, but i'd understand if thats not possible.
Again, this is for the LOCKSCREEN, NOT NOTIFICATION.
just bumping this since it's been 24 hours
I would love this.
+1 for center clock. I liked that on CNA.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
well i'm glad i'm not alone here.
I just sent a tweet to the current CNA dev asking him if he could share a way to do it.
i loved CNA, but after moving to AOKP, don't think i'll be going back.
well, been a couple days, so another bump.
Really no one knows how to do this?

well thats what this post is about, a request.
as far as weather on the lockscreen, you have a few options there.
AOKP can have weather on the lockscreen and notification bar
beautiful widgets can have weather in the notification bar and then a simple pull down.
Widget Locker can be used to put a weather widget on the lockscreen.
my thing is that i love the stock lockscreen, especially in AOKP with it's features, but want a centered clock as the others above do.
I'll try and work on it.

Maybe I sound like a dummy but I notice that if you put in your own custom wallpaper, the statusbar turns black like on the S3, but if you use the Samsung wallpapers, it is transparent. Is there anyway to make it ALWAYS transparent?
Also, is it possible to have multiple widgets with a PIN? Because I notice once you put a pin in, Samsung disables alot of the things you can do with the 4.2 lockscreen, which is dumb and defeats the purpose...

Nope. You answered your own question. Even without a PIN, they hork a lot of what 4.2 can do stock. Yet another reason why AOSP-based ROMs are superior.

I was figuring it too! Wonder why no transparent status bar.. And the widgets are not full when you wake the device..
I got a $10 credit in the mail and feel like it would best be used to replace the stock TouchWiz lockscreen. I've been using go locker for a little but it isnt very customizable nor can you use widgets.
I'd like something that is customizable, has weather and doesn't lag or slow down the phone.
Thoughts?
Widget locker is what I use. It's made by the cats that make nova launcher (I personally use their entire suite), and as the title suggests you can most certainly use widgets.

You too got a $10 gift card from the Samsung sweepstakes?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
I have widget locker as well. But I don't use it much. I don't care for it really. Using the widgets is cool, but it always seems to lag or show my stock lock screen behind it for a split second
I also hate. . hate. ..hate the fact that If you unlock to a short cut, you go back to the lockscreen after. Example, I unlock direct to camera to take a picture, or to messaging to send a text. I close the app and then it goes back to my lock screen. I find that so irritating that it won't just take me home, like a stock lock screen will. So I just don't use it anymore. Besides I like the aosp lock screen many ROMs have included now.
