[Q] N1Table - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Are there any of Roms which works with n1table? If i install n1table,i got stuck on HTC logo after installing any of ROMs.

Yes.
AOSP Roms, ie Cyanogenmod, Defrost, Oxygen.
Not sense roms or miui.

I want it to use with sense roms. Will work Sense(not stock 1.5) with sense roms?

I think any of the other tables work with sense (not 100% sure, haven't used sense since I got my desire).

No not all of the sense rom will work with the other tables, you need to check how much space the unziped rom will take (except /data). This can't be more than the size of your system partition, if you don't want to change your table but do want to use a specific rom (that does not fit) you have to slim down the rom yourself by deleting/moving some stuff from /system.

OpenDesire + some Sense Apps?

Hi!
I'm currently switching between two roms, OpenDesire and a rooted froyo stock sense rom. I kind of miss some stuff in both of them.
Now i'm looking for a way to combine these two. Is it possible to get the sense mail and the calendar app to work on od? Or the stock android lock screen and caller id to run on a sense rom?
Thanks in advance
karoodee
You can't use Sense apps in a non-Sense ROm as they're Sense apps - they NEED Sense to run
I thought maybe you could put the parts of sense that these apps need to run into a non sense rom :-/
As mentionned by EddyOS running Sense programs on stock ROM is not possible.
But running Stock apps on Sense ROM is possible ( espacially, as you asked, stock android lock screen and caller id to run on a sense rom).

[Q] Base Sense Rom?

Is there a ROM out there that is bare bones SENSE based without any applications? I want a ROM to store as nandroid along side CM7 for doing the ## codes when necessary...
I'd like for it to be as small as possible, not only because of the space on the sdcard, but to make backing it up and restoring it as quick as possible...
Any sense rom will be around 200 mb. I usually use myn's or calk's for the purpose you speak of. You could take an ota rooted zip and remove all the unnecessary apps.
ricsim stock turbo or reengineered by mik froyo
these are just my personal uses and opinion for a rooted stock rom.

Removing sense from stock rom

Is it possible to remove the HTC apps (including the sense U/I and launcher) from the stock 2.2 rom and install the AOSP apk's? I tried using custom roms, but the lack of a stable 4G is causing me to go back to the normal rom.
Thanks!
Well you can delete the sense.apk for the ui and get the aosp design, but you won't be able to installed the aosp apks. [As far as I know]. Regardless, if its not an "htc sense apk" the apk should install.
there are a few roms... sense roms... almost completely stripped of it. non aosp.
vaelpak has a rom with a lot or most sense removed

...and non sense

There is a flashable zip that would strip sense down to bare minimum. IIRC the dev was OmegaSun..

[Q] Sense ROM

Do you think Cyanogen would bring out a sense ui rom rather than implementing some sort of sense touch to its roms?
Cyanogen is specifically only for AOSP rom's there is no chance that he will come out with a sense rom and also if you want the design of sense rom's you can use different widgets to achieve that.
Yeah, Sense is not what CM is about. And that is why there are a variety of ROMs from various chefs. If you want Sense, flash a ROM that has it.

[Q] Question about AOSP roms please.

Hi guys, ive been trying to find AOSP roms for the Desire but seems they are in much less numbers than sense roms.
Are AOSP roms a good option? Do they provide better performance than sense ones, and is there any AOSP rom that keeps getting updates and support Data2SD? Thank you very much.
I think that there are less AOSP ROMs because most people want Sense.
But usually, AOSP ROMs gives better performace, battery life and are more stable, since they don't have all the extra stuuf that is includad in Sense.
They are the best option IMO if you can live without Sense.
AOSP ROMs are made directly form Android source code (Redux, Oxygen, dGB, Devnull) or CM and the ROMs based on it (as for example GingerVillain, or MIUI, which at least was based on CM7 in its first versions)
About Data2sd, the only ROM that have it included is MIUI XJ XPart, but I think it would be possible to manually add the D2SD script to any ROM
Everything he said I switched over from sense and will never look back, you get better performance, better customizing of the RoM, MIUI has a built in theme manager witch let's you change everything you want. Better battery life not having sense killing battery.
You dont like you can always go back to sense
Since i have rooted my desire i only have used AOSP roms, great roms are Oxygen, CM7, GingerVillain
Now i am on GingerVillain it has support to Data2SD, It has OTA (Villain Setup Application) updates for various stuff of the rom, and with the 3.1 HAVS 1113Mhz + CFS kernel installed through OTA the battery lasts 2-3 days.
