Can some1 take the weather and or flip clock/weather widget from HTC Hero and make it work on the A1 liquid? with the animation

Actually, I found beautiful widget to be better. i is almost identical to the HTC ver. Fancy widget looks the same but the animations are different and when you go to the forcast screen it takes up the whole screen instead of jumping out of the widget. Also if you are looking for a flip clock that flips you willl need to buy a HTC phone. Widgets aren't able to be animated but HTC has an animation function in thier framework or some junk.

Just search for a Fancy Widget with Google and you'll find it.
I shared a black version of it here. Or you can find the original white one here. But numbers dont flip like in the new sense interface, Fancy Widget is based on old sense clock.

the new version doesn't look like the flip clock in htc
i have the perfect flip clock and weather of htc on my xperia x10 and samsung galaxy i paid 2 dollars for it on market its weather and toggle and the skins are h7c clock and h7c weather good luck

anybody tried and compare this with beautiful widget? They look awfully the same, so I'm not sure why they would want to develop something similiar unless there's some flip animation or similiar sort.
at least with beautiful widgets there are skinning and pop up weather animation. with fancy widget it looks just plain ..

What is required to make them flip? That's kind of the whole point of having a flip clock, to enjoy the animation when the numbers change over. I downloaded the sense clock and was immediately disappointed.

you will need..
beautiful widgets
fancy widget
sense launcher (ADW)
ok install sence launcher, now install beautiful widgets.. scroll down and go to advanced settings tick animated weather now put the small home widget on your home screen now install htc version fancy widget and put that on your home screen... now remove beautiful widgets off your home screen lock your screen, unlock your screen ... you will now have animated weather just like htc hd2 roaming accross your fancy widget

Is it possible to change the fixed widgets on this phone (Menu - Phone - Settings) and their icons, WITHOUT having to change your launcher - I seem to like the basic launcher (having tried about 3 or 4 now) and they all allow you to customise the fixed widgets but is this possible in the standard non customised model and if so how..?
OR is there a Launcher that will allow you to access ALL of the basic HTC widget as I quite like some of them like the expanded message and agenda page.. cheers..

This is on the standard (as it comes) ROM. I have changed nothing and telephone was purchased new approx 2 weeks ago so its on release 2.2.1

You mean the dock buttons, and no theres no way change them (although if you download skins on htc hub you can get a skin that has the dock with another color and the blackboard skin makes the dock squared)
Other choice that you have is getting the full version of launcher pro, and get the fancy widget from the market
The full version of launcher pro has a "friends" widget that kinda looks like the friend stream widget, also it has a contacts widget that looks like the people widget, the dont look as good as the htc original ones but it can be an alternative
And the fancy widget app is the weather clock widget from htc alternative except it doesnt have the weather animation

Thanks, I have the full version of Launch Pro and yes it does what you say but it would not let me use some of the HTC sense widget which I also liked.. pity..
We need a widget like HTC flip clock weather widget. Or at least script change to remove accuweater as default weather provider. I just called HTC directly to see if they could update widget, they said DOUBT IT!! theres nothing wrong with it.
(Insert) BIG LOL! I've tried beautiful widgets and others just not the same. I.E. the animations, the flip clock, etc.
Ok my uncle got a One V yesterday, he wanted a small 4x1 clock weather widget like mine on One X, though we couldn't find any apart 4x2 and a tiny clock without weather.
He doesn't want to root his phone yet, so any way to add the Sense 4.0 clock widgets he doesn't have?
There is none real Sense 4.0 4x1 clock widget for One V yet. Alternatively, you can try this mod app

GO Launcher EX might help
Try using the GO Weather Widget... It's resizable too...
But you won't get that same HTC Sense clock weather..
I installed Beautiful widgets on his OneV but he want the official look!
I will try the ckpv5 clock to see!
But it's very weird that on the smaller One series screen HTC didn't put a 4x1 clock but a 4x2
