Well... I can't really elaborate at all. Should be pretty obvious. Do I need to delete some of my older subscribed threads? How, uh, how do I do that?
Have you definitely requested email subscriptions? Are you seeing them correctly in your usercp?
I do have a question. Most of the time I remember the "e-mail replies" button. When I don't, I hit the "subscribe" button. Is that not the same thing? Is there any way to get that e-mail replies thing after posting? Is that through editing?

Which button?
There is a dropdown when posting or editing, that lets you choose no subscription, no emails (UserCP subscription), instant emails, daily emails or hourly emails.
Is that what you're meaning?

Is that the same as "Subscribe to this Thread"?
And could you help me on Gchat flashing a rom?

Daniel, I found the answer to your question within 30 seconds by using the search function and searching for 'select multiple emails'. Please use the search feature and research before asking.
Your answer is in this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3002018
Take care

Thanks for your help.

I don't think it's possible to delete messages/email from tf3d. The only way I know to delete a message without actually opening is to bring up messaging, highlight the message (You can bring up the software keyboard and use the arrow buttons to move the highliter up and down), then use the left softkey to remove it.

Jesse
I am coming back to Dash after a while with Palm and PocketPC, so excuse my ignorance.
I tried to search the answer to my question, but I guess it is too general.
Is there a way to search for e-mails? I mean input text and let the PDA search for different fields. I know that PPC has a Search in the main menu and my old Treo 680 has even hardware button.
Any idea how you can search through e-mails and/or other items such as tasks, calendar, or others. Any idea?

depending on the rom you have on your device, you just start typing while in your inbox.
for example: if i was searching for an email about your mom, while in the inbox, i would type "koli..."
I am using ookba's 3EVO ROM and I just tried it and it works. But it does not work in the tasks or calendar. Is there such a tool, which would allow me search through tasks and calendar? Also, the e-mail search searches only through name, subject and address. I wondered if I could search through body of the message.
Thanks
SmartphoneFind will do that, but not free and it is slow at searching as it seems to be searching everything or searching algorithm is slow i dont know. u can try it for 30 days, from here:

I dont use email on my Phone, but if you go into the START MENU then TOOLS and then click SMS Tools Pack ... that has a search feature...I dont know if that works for the e-mails though. It is worth a shot...
This can also be access from the SMS/MMS inbox by clicking the MENU SoftKey and go down to (#8 ?) SMS Pack.
Good Luck

Thanks for the advice (I like when people spend their two cents ). I checked it but it works only for the SMS. But it appears to works with keywords through the body which is nice to know.
Anyway, if somebody has another two cents I am all poor in this department.
I added xda-developers.com to my white list but I am still not be notified of replies (I do have Instant email notification enabled).
Is there another domain name I should add so that I can receive the notifications? Thank you!

Any instant notifications should come from webmaster (at) xda-developers.com
Have you told it to send one for PMs, or subscribed threads?
Yes I have add that function as well. My memory is not that great so I do rely on these emails.
The other interesting issue is that I do not get replies from the androidforums. I checked, and it seems you might use Google to the email relay? Do you know if an SPF record is in there? Otherwise, my hosting company might be able to overright the spam settings
In this amazing world of Android, is there not an app that can decipher an email and add the appt to calendar? For example, I get a lot of emails advising me of the practice schedule for the coming week or two, the email has days and times and locations. Is it too much to ask to have those times automatically added to my calendar? I mean Google now goes far enoughthat it will track parcels or flights, is this not the next logical step? Is tedious to manually add them from each email. I would expect some kind of visual confirmation where you could edit any minor details of course. Any dev who could come up with this would clean up! Unless there's something like this on the market that I've overlooked?

Just a quick update, after checking, it appears that the problem is only with Gmail? If I forward these Gmail messages to Hotmail or others, the time in the body of the email is highlighted, allowing me to tap it to create a date on Samsung calendar. I have to fill in the details but that's what I'm talking about!
I guess I could create calendar date verbally with Google now. Anyone have a better way? Gmail is my main email.

Argh! I guess you mods can delete this thread. Apparently, if I open Gmail using the stock email app I can achieve what I wanted. Thanks me!

found your thread by searching the same content. I found this helpful because i have the same problem like yours, i.e. too many emails with appointment and schedule which i hardly manually enter into my calendar. switching apps also takes too many steps to complete. Ive never use Stock Email that came with the device (i am on Samsung galaxy note 3 now). Let me try see if it works. However, I found stock email app is a bit slow receiving emails, that's why ive never used it Did you find any other app that does the job? i also looking for an app which can remind me to reply emails later, because some emails come, i skim through it and will reply later when i have time. But sometimes i forget to reply, and very hard to find the mail again you have any solution for this?
cheers
Not Getting Email Notifications To Subscriberd Threads. Please fix?

First you need to be logged in and then go to the following link...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
... Scroll down a bit to the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and, from there, you can use the drop down list that has the options for email notifications.
Once done, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Save changes".
The above is for the default from then on and now, the following, is for the threads you've already subscribed to.
Go to the following link...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription&daysprune=-1&folderid=all
... Select any one or more of the threads you want to edit/modify your current list of threads that your subscribed to.
Then scroll down to the drop down list to the right of the "Selected Threads:".
That drop down list will have a list for you to update your subscription type that also reflects the options for email notifications.
Now you should be all set!
I hope that I had explained this okay via text...
Good Luck!

Thanks, I did as instructed as I have many times before. Note the below?
Then scroll down to the drop down list to the right of the "Selected Threads:".
There is nothing on the right. At the the bottom left corner of the list is a drop down that lets me choose "Instant Email Notification". BUT, there is no save option. Just Go.
I belong to lots of forums across the Webb and am getting instant notifs from all but this one. There seems to be some redundancy here. In my subscribed list folder I choose the box that selects all of them and choose Instant.
When I check my settings everything is set to instant. Your reply here will be a test. I get the red dot on my loging screen but nothing in my email box, and yes I checked the junk and spam folders.
Thanks, Lets fix this.
Then if I go to the bottom corner drop down I can choose Instant again. With only a Go button. No save, no confirmation.

I give up guy. This is not a rant.
I belong to at least ten forums, none of which fail to send me instant updates without jumping through hoops. No matter what browser.
I don't know what I would do without XDA but its not without pain. Other than the instant email notifications , its sluggish.
So I'm going to let you off the hook and just put up with it. Thanks for your patience and trying.
