Help, Help, Help
Hi guys, could someone please help me?
I updated my phone with the Froyo OTA official update I received on my phone.
The installation rebooted a couple of times and finally got to the point where I see the HTC Sense scene. I don't have data or mobile network connection.
That means: no outgoing/incoming phone calls. After about 30 seconds I get the triangle warning pop up message stating:
Sorry!
Process system is not
Responding.
Followed by the following buttons:
'Force Close' & 'Wait'
And then - no matter what I do the phone eventually reboots.
And that goes for ever. Unless I power off the phone.
Another thing I noticed:
The notification bar is inactive as well (except for showing the time and battery status): i.e. can not be draged down.
I didn't root my phone and it was bought unlocked and unbranded!
My phone is basicaly bricked.
Help .... Please, please, please...
Can you reboot into recovery mode? See if you can try updating again using the method I tried: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7475688&postcount=2
The only difference with me was that I had to debrand my phone prior to doing the above, but come to think about it you are already unbranded so it shouldnt be a problem.
Tried to do a battery rest as per the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755903
I think i did something wrong.
Phone is currently stuck on a screen with a picture of a phone with a red triangle with an exclamation mark.
What do i do?
You're in recovery, press vol up and power and you get a small menu where you can select to apply the clockwordmod update.zip to reset your battery stats (assuming you're rooted)
Thanks so much. I thought something went horribly wrong.
My phone wasnt rooted, so i guess i shouldnt have even tried to reset the battery stats.
Thanks for the help.

Hi,
A long time ago, I believe I updated my HTC Hero with a custom ROM.
I currently have
- 2.1-update1
- SW: 3.32.405.2
I just sold the phone and tried to bring it back to factory settings.
But I can't.
It won't re-initialize and I can't even delete my GMAIL account.
In short, I don't care which version is installed, I just want the phone to be updated with an official ROM, so that its new owner can turn it on and configure it as if it was knew.
The phone is NOT rooted.
If anyone has a hint, I will consider it my XMas present.
Thanks a lot!

This is the desire forum, not hero.

Either wipe it from recovery or use a RUU http://www.shipped-roms.com/downloa...io_63.18.55.06P_6.35.15.11_release_signed.exe
Look it up, it's easy.

Mine is doing this too,
I tried rooting during the downgrade process (Because I had gingerbread) next thing that happened was when it would start up, it would take a very long time for the white htc screen to show up, and would vibrate (constantly) for 2 full minutes. the white htc screen would then show "quietly brilliant" under the logo and boot. but now it's going to the phone with red exclamation mark in a triangle. Phone is not rooted, hit power and volume up, went to update zip, told me invalid...
what's next?
*edit*
p.s. htc inspire 4g.
also before black screen w/ triangle I ran hack-ACE to put stock ruu back.
restarted again, and now it's usuable, but still does the looooong boot up.
No touch Screen Sensation
Hi forum I am in desperate need of some help. I have an HTC Sensation with a non responsive screen. There was a software update I believe on the forum that claims to resolve this problem. I want to try an upgrade or something hoping my screen issue can be resolved. My problem is how can I upgrade a stock ICS firmware without the use of the touch screen or touch buttons. Or even root the phone from the boot screen.
Second question can I load my external sd card in another Android phone like to load the software on it and then insert it into the Sensation and then linstall it from the boot screen?
Thanks for your help
Sensation HTC with version 2.3.5 locked
Hi there,
First time user with a desire on the telus network. I was referred to this site through a friend who did the froyo upgrade to his phone.
I have been working all day at figuring out how to root my phone and have had little luck getting any tutorial to work.
most recently I have use the linux version and the windows version of unrevoked and both go through the whole process and say done but leave my phone turned off and to the point that I have to pull the battery to get it on again. When I enter recovery mode and selected recovery the phone flashes the white screen with the HTC logo and then right to black. Previously in the day it would allow me to go to the black screen and allow me to flash the update files.
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction.
cheers

are you pushing the lock button in recovery mode or the optical trackpad?
Sometimes people are not intelligent enough and cant flash a phone because they dont read the details in tutorials (--->ME<---)
Hi There, I'm new to the forum so please go easy on me....
Going to try and make this quick with all the info people may need.
Basically updated my phone through HTC RUU through shipped roms (Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_121865.exe)
The process got to about 65% and then failed with a error 110 FILE OPEN ERROR. The process then quits out and the phone reboots with a silver HTC Logo (black background) and for exclamation points in each corner of the screen.
The phone no longer boots and I can't seem to get into any recovery mode. I was wondering if anyone out there could help?
I have tried downloading it a number of times but it doesn't seem to work...

I have been searching and searching and can't find anything related to my problem, things kind of similar but nothing quiet like this. i have 2 desire hd's and on my 1st, when i was talking to my wife in the truck the phone froze as i was talking and i could not end the call. i proceeded to go home and continue to drive with the phone being frozen. i got home and took the battery out as it was still frozen and booted it back up. When it started, it did the HTC to telus loop. all it did was loop between the two for half an hour. i then looked up hard reset and did that. got to the HBOOT menu and seen; fastboot, recovery, factory reset, simlock and imarge crc. that same day i did a factory reset and the phone reset it self. it still however got stuck in the loop again, accept it was the reset loop without telus showing up, just htc then downloading icon, then reset etc. when it is during the loop with the green downloading screen i held vol+ and power and got the following errors; E: cant mount /data/cwpkg.zip and E: cant mount /data/cw.prop so i then tried to do a recovery, im a noob hence just joining during the recovery process i get a picture of the phone with the green downloading symbol above it. then it goes to a phone with an exclamation mark inside a triangle. i know during this process i can hit volume up and power and get an alternative menu with some errors underneath. these are the errors im getting;
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: failed to mount /sdcard (invalid argument) i get this 3 times
E: Cant mount /data/data/recovery/log
E: cant open /data/data/recovery/log
This all happened on january of 2012 and i recently, today just tried toying with it again. im pretty "noobish" when it comes to rooting and all that other stuff. i can mod pc and xbox games and hex edit, just cant work phones!! haha i actually let the phone sit since then till today, April 8th and plugged it in to the wall and let the orange light blink slow to fast and then permanently on. the phone magically turned on and loaded up, i was surprised. it said it may take several mins to install the phone or w.e so i waited about 15 mins and it magically started up and i can do everything, even play teeter. was ready to give the phone to my wife today...untill...i turned it off to stick in her SIM and properly load it and i got the dreaded loop, once again! so...now im here....at the end of my rope, about to send it to HTC so they can re program it. i really dont want to do that because i know i can fix it myself, with some help from some future friends. the phone was bought in October of 2011 and is still in warranty but dont want the hassle of htc dealing with me. im sorry if i have rambled on or made this post to long. i dont use forums all to often because i can learn fairly quickly and learn to fix it. the problem is these new phones...i just dont get them haha!! someone please help me....i know this can be fixed thank you to anyone who replies, props to you sir and or madam.
Download an ruu, go to hboot fastboot in your phone, then run the ruu once it detects your phone.
ok, do i download the ruu to my computer or to my sd card or what?

Yeah run the RUU from your computer and you will see a notice asking you to connect your phone via-usb
thank you. can you also tell me if this will void my warranty if i try to send it back? and can you also suggest a ruu for the desire hd
Pretty sure it would not void your warranty, as those RUU's i believe are official releases from HTC. As to what one cant really help you there as i prefer custom roms, i guess the latest version you be after and probably one related to your carrier (I.E Verzion, Orange, Ect..) or a WWE (World Wide Edition). There is a thread i think in the development forum that has all the RUU's and the appropriate links to download them
lol i guess i must just be stupid, but i cant seem to find the devp thread haha!! im a noob though so whatya expect. ill find it, somewhere.
Since you mention telus in your post then you need the telus ruu.
Here's a link to it. You'll want the last one in the first post 2.43.661
