Hi all,
I'm doing wallpaper application. I want to set own wallpaper for my home screen programmatically. But home screen has 3 view as left view ,current view and right view. Can anyone tell how to set individual wallpaper for every view.
I've never seen it done before, probably because the image for each pane on the the homescreen overlaps (so say you scroll the the next pane 480pix horizontally, the wallpaper might only move 200pix).
I think you can force Android to accept the non-default aspect ratio for wallpapers using an app like wallpaper set and save. So you could make an image with with the following dimensions: heigh * (width * # of panes), then the area of the background will directly correlate with the area on the pane.
Thank you. Is it possible to set wallpaper without scroll a screen. I need to display only one image in current view. bcoz when i set wallpaper, part of images hide in left and right side. So i cant view full image.
You just a static wallpaper that's the same for all panes?
Grab an image that's the correct resolution for your display and set it with 'wallpaper set & save', it's a free app on the market.
Look in the market for "multipicture live wallpaper". You can set each of your screens to whatever wallpaper you like. It also has various effects you can use while flipping through each screen. Fantastic free app!
I'm not sure if that's what you wanted but...

Hey guys, is there an option to fill the screen with the wallpaper like in Windows? The Cropping thing is annoying me. If not, what's the proper width/height for 1 screen? I really wish there were a way to get a live preview at least if there's no fill screen. Lately all I've been doing is increasing canvas size and adding black bars in photoshop. Works most of the time but then there are some pics that just need to be resized properly.
I you have an app that changes your wallpaper automatically when it picks the wallpaper you want it will fill the screen with that wallpaper without cropping it.
If you want just that one picture as your wallpaper....what I did was pick the picture I wanted and put it in its own folder and in the settings of the wallswitch app, I chose it to use wallpapers in the folder I put the picture in. So since that was the only picture in the folder, it became my default wallpaper. OR you could wait till you catch your phone when it picks the wallpaper you want and turn of the auto feature in the app.
hope that helps!!
I finally found a live wallpaper that I find useful. MultiPicture Live Wallpaper allows you to set a different image for each homescreen. This lets you make better use of pictures of family and friends. It has other features, including using a folder to display your pictures at random, transition effects, and changing the wallpaper with a double tap of the homescreen.
You can set a default image and settings and then change the image and settings for each screen. If you want a screen to act as a slideshow you can set it as an album or folder screen and then set the selection order. If you have double tap to change turned on you can change the image just by tapping on the screen. No more opening a gallery app to show off your pictures.
If you use a home replacement that lets you disable homescreen background scrolling make sure you turn that setting off so that the images will change when you change homescreens.
This app does increase battery use, but I can still make it through a full day with my phone. YMMV.
Love this app. Many wallpapers on my device and never bored!
trying to do this via pics in gallery but it always ask me to crop them, think i need to put them where the wallpapers are stored but not sure where this is , not rooted so any easy way to do this or am i just being a bit thick
You can drag the box when selecting the wallpaper. If it's a landscape photo though, you're out of luck. You could use just about anything to add black bars to the top of a landscape image to make it fill the screen if you really wanted.
The website Unsplash.com contains, without a doubt, the most beautiful images I have seen. There are several other apps available for Unsplash.com, but none of them supports uploading images (comming very soon) , liking photos, cutting photos to the perfect dimensions of your phone or tablet and editing your profile.
With these functionalities I am trying to stand out from the other apps.
This is the result (I have done a little extra to please the tablet users):
This is the main screen of the app when it launches.
The available categories that you can filter the recents list with.
This is the screen that shows you all of the details from the image
The image cropper
Curated batches
Personal favorites
Editing your profile.
Login with your Unsplash.com account to like photos and upload them. You can manage your account from within the app.
Pick one of the many (and I mean many) high resolution free wallpapers that you can use to make your home-screen look beautiful once again.
Cut the wallpaper to the perfect size for your screen and if the wallpaper is big enough, you will get that little sliding effect as a bonus
If a new wallpaper is uploaded, the app will notify you, so you are always up-to-date and ready to download a new wallpaper.
When you see a wallpaper that your friend might like, you can share the image right away, even better, the title, the author and the QR code of the image will be added as well.
Or if all you want is to have a nice image in your gallery, you can save the image without any problems.
Every image on unsplash.com is licensed under the Creative Commons Zero license. This means you can and may do everything with it.

Is there a way to change the background of the lockscreen ?
The only way I've found is to use an app such as QuickPic, etc. that will let you view your desired wallpaper and then 'Set As..." save option to set it as the Lockscreen.
The stock Gallery app and File manager itself allow us to set a lock screen wallpaper on Oxygen OS.
Open an image there and you will see Set As option at the top right. It will give you a list of options to which you would want to assign that image
