what is your average battery use per hour while idling?
My use is about 1.2% per hour. I have GPS On, Wifi Off, BT Off, Sync and BG Data on, WCDMA Only radio
Tasker + SetCPu running in bg along with wtvr homescreen widgets and launcher pro stuff
setcpu underclocks to 245/245 on screen off.
CM 6.1 stable with latest pershoot kernel.
i am not using the pershoots kernel but i get about 1% every hour and a half or so, most of the day at work my phone is in my pocket with screen off(and all settings the same as you aside from kernel) i get almost no loss in battery life

Hi,
have currently on Modaco R9 Rom on my Desire and consumed per day in standby almost 20% of the battery. Now I've tried Cyanogen7 and Oxygen RC7 and I eat at the one day the time short battery empty. When Modaco Rom is in standby, the CPU Activity from 0.5 to 1%. For the Gingerbread Rom she is hardly less than 10%. There are no apps installed ....
has anyone advice?
Sorry for my bad English
go to settings then wireless & networks after go on wifi settings then press menu after that press advanced and set wi-fi sleep policy to never its a known bug
thats what it takes to live on the bleeding edge...
mhhh .... strange
Screenshot1: MoDaCo R9 Rom. 18:30 to 19:30 in complete standby - Wifi standby off .. mobile always disabled. CPU activity in standby below 1%
Screenshot2: Cyanogenmod7. 21:20 to 21:50 in complete standby - WiFi and Mobile always disabled. CPU Activity 3 - 10%, sometimes even short-term almost 30%
Display percentage is the problem.

cool
I have the kernel ... "[KERNEL 2.6.37] vorkKernel-BFS/CFS-SIO-AXI-HAVS-OC/UV [17-Jan-11] " installed and now everything is fine!. Screenshot attached.
I can't view historical data from this app.
Here is a screenshot of standby on the night
Wifi = on
Mobile= off
it works fine....
Using ManU-2.6.35 kernel power consuption about 1mA at Flight mode on. Perfect!
Don't know how to check is phone switch to 128MHz at screen off without SetCPU.
My phone:
- stock rom .62
- latest doomkernel (v10)
-.36 baseband
I removed all bloat, have 310mb internal memory free (ran supercharger)
I configured setcpu 806max, 134min, smartass governor and screen off profile 365max 134min
When the screen is off, i don't have the drain. It was at 74% when i went to sleep, when i got up about 9 hours later it was STILL at 74%, so there's practically no drain when the screen is off which is really nice.
But when the screen is on, the drain is immense. I have about 1% drain every 3min when the screen is on. It's on max brightness. I just left the screen on continuously for about 3 hours, and it has gone from 70% to 14% in just those 3 hours leaving the screen on (just leaving the screen on, doing nothing else on the phone).
Is this normal? If not, can somebody tell me how i can find out what is causing this drain? I'm happy about the drain (which is zero to none) when the screen is off though...
you are doing everything ,however if you are using high powered apps like Muffin Knight/Experiment /etc they will drain battery fast under 3 hours
I'm not running any apps besides the standard+setcpu
Display needs to be lowered. Make it Auto.
Turn Wifi off. If you don't need it, it's just awful to have it on because it's always searching & searching and wasting battery.
Also, use this app that I'll link below. It has something called a "Smart Power-saving" function where all 2/3/4G and WiFi will shut off when your battery is 20% or lower, thus leaving only Phone and SMS activated, and there's an option for root users where the cpu will underclock when the screen is locked! It DEFINITELY helps!
The market page is all in Chinese, but the app is in English.

Hey I have noticed lately my battery is taking around 2+ hours to recharge and I get Max 2 hours screen time from a 100 percent charge.
This is with display brightness at minimum around 5-10 minutes call time and ready mostly chrome and Facebook. I have also undervolted turned all sync times to as low as possible and have wifi gps and everything set to off.
My mate with the same phone and ROM/kernel/theme gets 3 hours easy and his brightness and all settings including sync are default.
I have tried the reset battery(no change) and installed better battery saver but everything seems fine?
I am running aokp M4, Franco nightly 97 and black exodus theme.
Any guidance appreciated.
Team,
I am using unofficial Cyanogenmod 7.2.0-RC1-marvel-KANG, recently upgraded it. I am facing the issue with battery back up.Even I have changed the settings in *#*#4636#*#* after that I kept my phone in idle status for 12hrs my battery status was 25%. I have read in one of the thread that cm7 with get good battery life.but I am not getting .Please help me with suggestions
For the same I have disabled GPS, Dataenabled and Syncroniser.
Everytime my battery reaches full charge I unplug and reboot into recovery. Go to advanced and wipe battery stats. Reboot. This is how you condition your battery. The rom becomes calibrated to know when your battery is fully charged.
Don't use autosync or use background data unless necessary and use dimmest screen brightness possible. Make sure gps is off when not used. I get 18 hr on sense 3.5 and I use my phone mostly music, games and web. Always overclocked to 806 Mhz and 120 min.
If I helped click thanks.

in addition to overclocking, use profiles to underclock at certain times like when screen is off make the clock spped for min and max both at 200mhz, and you'll probably save some battery
Hi everyone as you can tell I'm a noob, so please just take it easy on me thanks! So here is the problem I have so recently I installed DARTHSTALKER V8 on my Galaxy S3 T999 and my battery life was like 4 hours so I was confused because people were getting like 16 hours. So what I did was I downloaded a new kernel called "LJA TWiz-JB-OC" v1.1c. So it increased my battery life to 5 hours on like a 50% battery. So I was wondering like what settings can I use on this kernel or what other kernel could get me this kind of battery life of 16 hours or more. Also, I found that someone said, " this kernel works flawlessly on darthstaker v8. 1350-192, ondemand, sio! UV -75" but I don't know how to set this kind of stuff.
Please Help Thanks!
Download set cpu, from there you can adjust, frequency clocks, governor, scheduler, undervolt, turn all animation or window transitions to 0.5x in developer options, turn off battery saver, email, facebook etc make them sync every hour or two, reduce brightness to 40-50%. Auto dim screen or auto lock after 30secs or 1 minute.
When I'm at work my wi-fi is turned on all the time as there is no signal in the basement i get 12-14 hours on my battery.
