My question is will doing this mess with the rom and stuff stopping me from getting furture updates via kies?

I'm actually on Defrost 6.1a (and dont want to go Gingerbread ), and i would like to upgrade the market apk in the .zip before flashing it
I tried a 2.2.6 version found on a thread of xda, but it ended each time in a force close
So if someone could provide me an update that works with AOSP, i would thk him really much!!

Ok guys i know I am a little behind on times, but can you help me find what is the lastest kernel/rom for my rooted el29? I am getting the new ota update asking for me to install the new ICS system. As you can tell i am still running gingerbread (2.6.35.7) any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm looking into how to update my jelly bomb update rom from v11 to the newest, I've asked in their thread here but have yet to get any help in it, if there some way I can update it without loosing my stuff currently on it cause this message I keep getting about updating it getting annoying already. I currently run MIUI-3.8.2 (android 4.1.2 MIUI v5 Beta 3)
I want to keep all my contacts and apps, is this in any way possible? Can this be achieved by just a CWM recovery mod backup or should i use another app?
