where is the lock screen image located for the incredible? how do i edit that? i want the galaxy s lock sceen..
its in system/framework, com.htc.resources.apk.... we'd all like the galaxy lockscreen it isn't as simple as copy and paste, that is a major port, now, to change the lockscreen there are 3 files in the com.htc.resources.apk that you can edit. god bless if you get the galaxy lockscreen cos id love that too!

hey guys.
i run manila 2.5 on my htc hd and would like to customize the slider in the lock screen. is there any way to change the lock symbol to another graphic? in my opinion the best way would be to find the icon somewhere in the system and manipulate it...
i took a look into the windows folder of my device. there is a folder named LockScreen but no files in there that look like i could use them. if there's no way to change this icon itself maybe you could recommend a tool to customize the whole locked screen?

First Post... be nice...
I really miss the "transparent" background on the homescreen icons like on the default TW on the EPIC 4G... also the truncated text is annoying. Is this a XML edit? Can someone point me into some reasonable direction for a neophyte.
I am a "lurker" on this site and have never posted a request. I have loved the support on the EPIC and now on the TOUCH. Many thanks coming your way...
if you mean the black box behind the text on the homescreen. its a png file that can be set to clear to get rid of it.
when i get home i'll look up the name and location if you want
as for the trunc. text it would be an xml edit but i don't know where it would be located.
I would love to know about the PNG. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the icon is in
system\app\TouchWiz30Launcher.apk
in the \res\drawable folder
and it's called icon_shadow.png
but i may be wrong
you could try replacing it with this (attached) and see what happens
just back up the one in there first. (or make a copy of the whole touchwiz launcher apk first would prob be easier)
i've got touchwiz deleted off my phone cause it doesn't play nice with my transparent statusbar mod. or i'd give it a shot.
With the Release of Mass Effect days away I thought I'd share my bits and pieces that I use on my galaxy nexus.
I also use MultiPicture Livewallpaper so these wallpapers are configured to fit a single screen 720x1280 pixels.
I have a home screen with wallpapers on rotation and on the 'sub' screens I have a static image and another on the unlock screen (all set through multiPicture live wallpaper).
With that in mind here are the RARs:
ME_Notifications.rar - Mono MP3 Sounds that can be used as notifications
ME_Ringtones.rar - stereo ringtones
GNexME_Backs.rar - 720x1280 JPEGs that I use for the 'sub' screens and unlock screen
GNex_Walls_ME - PART 1.rar - 720x1280 JPEGs that I use for the home screen (part 1)
GNex_Walls_ME - PART 2.rar - 720x1280 JPEGs that I use for the home screen (part 2)
Please note all images and sound are copyright bioware etc and I'm only posting them here out of my love for the games
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some calibrations to perform.
UPDATE:
I've just uploaded some Mass Effect 3 rintones and notifications
ME3_notifications.rar
ME3_rintomes.rar
And some Dedicated LockScreens
GNEX_N7_locks.rar - screen shots of a couple added here
How about a few screen shots?
The walls would be good but unfortunately they are not formatted for the GNex and a lot of the picture gets cut off.
However, I am rockin some of the ringtones!
Sorry for the stupid questions but I haven't ever been able to get the wallpapers out of the .rar I've done the .zip where I can extract but how do I get them out of the .rar again. Sorry for the question but I've been eager to knw, thanx

I've done them especially for my setup of MultiPicture Live wallpaper and Nova Launcher so not sure how they will look on other setups.
Glad you like the tones,

Hi there, unrar the lockscreen to find .jpeg files
You can then copy the ones you want to your nexus.
Personally I use the lockscreen feature of MultiPicture Live Wallpaper to set mine but you should be able to use any app that supports JPEGs for this feature (widget locker for xample).

ahhh I see
thanks!
I'm trying out Touchwiz again after using AOKP for a while and I'm liking it, the only issue is how can I show the lockscreen before entering my PIN? I want my phone to be secure but I hate not having a seeing the actual lockscreen. Anyway around this? Also, does anyone know how to make the status bar clock font any smaller? It takes up way too much space.

nothing you can really do about it as far as the clock goes, maybe if you install a smaller font in the display section.
As far as lockscreen before pin, TouchWiz does not have that option, that was only on AOKP and CM9 roms.
If you don't mind a third-party solution, I just checked GoLocker, and it shows the swipeable lockscreen before you have to enter your PIN.
And I agree with abesgs2; your best bet is a new font for the statusbar time.
Maybe you could find a way not to display it through a ROM hack and instead install an app that displays the clock there, but I don't know anything about that.
Russian smashed across the interwebz from my Galaxy S2.
I really want to edit my lockscreen with a custom look, but still want security on my phone. So how can I change how to dots on the pattern look? Or am I able to have the slider then the pattern lock, without widgetlocker?
P.S I'm rooted with a Nexus 4 (4.2.2) running Xylon_mako-official-2.4-beta2
Oh, sorry I put this in the wrong thread. Oops

You can use zipthemer from the market for this. Just find the images you want to use and use that app to replace then. Are you just wanting to change the color of the circles for pattern lock? If so i have some colors i could upload...

I would prefer a more radical change to the lockscreen but the colours are still good. So yes please. That would be very helpful
What would be a "Radical" change? Layout changes are pretty much out since the only thing you can easily do is change the images themselves, so that leaves either color changes or putting new/random/crazy ones instead.
Basically find/make the images you want, then replace them via zipthemer, or manually inserting them into the apk with 7zip, if you want to start to get your hands dirty.
The main ones are the 9 grid points, the dark circle under your finger, the light green and red circles, and the red/green direction arrows.
I like the setting that removes the dots completely. Jellybro has it, probably most roms do.
