I was trying to figure out how to change the lockscreen background. Found a post on the N1 forum. Rori~ was really helpfull and got this working in a mater of second. All the credit for the morph goes to Rori~, just wanted to share with fellow G2/CM users.
Edit: This morph has only been tested on the n1 and g2 running CM Rom 6.1 (stable) Follow the link in post two for the original posting. If it works on anyother rom please post your results.
I updated http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865565
Cool, it works on G2
Is there a way this could be implemented into the CM rom?
Like some kind of switcher in the cyanogen settings...
Sent my phone into boot loop, i'm assuming because I had a theme already installed?
CM 6.1 nightly 55 w/ gingerbread theme.

I know there has been a lot of demand (especially here on xda) for an official MIUI ROM for the Galaxy S, however it seems the MIUI-Team are not planning so for the time being.
I've been searching and just recently found a developer by the name of tp4bama (from miui-devs and droidforums).
He has kick started things and I wanted to do my part by bringing his work into spotlight.
You can find his work here:
http://www.miui-dev.com/forums/showthread.php?1139-Theme-Miui-Galaxy-S-All-Phones
And also here:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/team-d1-miui/104418-theme-miui-galaxy-s.html
Description:
This is a port of Benny879's original miui galaxy for the old miui. It is based on Manup456's original Galaxy theme. I touched up the notification pulldown, a few title bars and added a custom themed mms and dialer.
Currently on v1.1
If there are any changes that you would like to see, let me know.

I have very limited development skills, but I will help with this project (I'm good at testing/evaluating). I really want MIUI (the best ROM in my humble opinion) to rock the Galaxy S (and the rest of the series).
If I have not posted this in the correct section, or in the correct manner, I apologize and welcome a moderator to customize it. I only have the best intentions.
If tp4bama are here on xda, you can delete this/make your own thread and I'd implore you to continue with your magnificent work, my regards

I thought that this is REAL MIUI rom, but this is only theme..... :+(((
Perhaps the OP would want to change it to [Theme] instead?
Btw, the MIUI team's official devices are the Nexus One and Nexus S, according to miui.com there's a high chance the i9000 will be the first after these two to get a MIUI rom on 2.3 after the cyanogen team's Gingerbread port is stable.
If this is just a theme, it's in the wrong forum.

really? can you post the link of the thread?
Nice theme.
Here's a thread with screens of the next version of miui: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=890954&highlight=miui
I hope it comes to the sgs too.
It's by far the best rom i've ever seen.
It will come to the SGS, if supercurio manages to carry on with the Gingerbread port, as the Kernel he uses is the Nexus S one, so once it's released for the Nexus S we can use it as well. Time will tell Wrote a comment over at MIUI dev to the creator of this theme telling him to bring it here, it'll get more attention and people working on it.
Just to clarify some things, this is only a theme and not a rom. Hint on why in the title of my threads it says [Theme] Miui Galaxy S [All Phones]. If you could please reword the op to reflect that Im not porting miui to the galaxy s only creating a theme that makes miui look like the galaxy s. You can keep this thread as long as you link to my download links. Hope this clarifies some things.

Thanks for changing that. I probably wont be able to get this theme to work on a Darkky rom? because im using a D1. Also you would have better luck porting a different version of this theme because this theme is not set up like other themes. There are no xmls or anything in these themes. But if you ever get a miui rom on the galaxy you will be able to run this.

Can't really comment on Android revolution as I have never used it, don't like sense and hadn't realised there was a no sense option.
Cm 6 is great and the latest release is very stable, but...
Cm 7 brings gingerbread I have had no stability issues, and have been running it since the builds where unofficially compiled from source, current nightly builds are great.
But everyone has different needs / likes, I have been a CM fan since I first installed it on my HTC Magic and it suits me, give Android revolution a go and see what you think you've nothing to lose except your time
yea you can't compare those roms
sense vs. clean 2.2 vs. clean 2.3
depending on what u prefer
some like sense, some like a full stable 2.2, some like to play test person and use 2.3 nightly
I used PNK22 for my day to day rom. For a time had no real problems with it other then no camara yet, this was and still is the only reason i am not using it today..

just a question..there's update manager or something like this in the CM7?
I mean, if I install build 18 then build 19 is released how can I upgrade?
download it from thread and flash or use rom manager (the paid version) to get notified and download it on your mobile + update

by simply installing the zip, you dont need to wipe anything as long as only a small amount has changed. Using rom manager or rebooting into recovery and installing zip with that will work.
but, if there is a large change you will need to wipe data etc. Just make sure you dont wipe your sd card
can someone give me a link to the "stable" version of cm7? the development forum is a bit confusing cause there are too many links of CM7 and I can't understand the one you are talking about
h t t p ://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=ace
There is not yet a stable ROM of CM7 for Desire HD.
I'm running Nightly Build #14 smoothly.
Greetz
i loved CM7, but i also liked the integration with sense so i went with revolution, but i prefer the gingerbread keyboard
I'm currently running Android Revolution 2.0.8 with a few customisations of my own and I love it. That said I can't use a ROM which doesn't have Sense UI.
If I could put up with not having the additions that Sense UI adds to a ROM, I'd probably be using a CM7 nightly.
It's Revolution 2.0.9 now (fast developer ), but I find this best for my needs personally. It's all about individuality, so try each one you like the look of and stick with the one that works best for you.
So, I have successfully rooted my phone and gained superuser rights. This was my first time rooting a phone. So, I get the cm7 rom from cm's website I. I put it on my sd card, and I go to flash it and it gives me some sort of error... Something about verification? If anyone could help out that would be splendid.
I have a galaxy s2 t989.
Our phone isn't on cyanogen mods website so u probably got the build for the wrong phone. Ur lucky it didn't install otherwise u would have a brick right now. Get the cyanogen build from the development section of this forum

I found this Rom Cyanogenmod 7 Self-Kang For Tmo-Sgs2 Alphafied #2 2.3.7 Updated.. and the links were broken. Tried rootzwiki... broken as well.
Do you have any suggestions on a good build? I was looking for something with just gingerbread like the cm7 build...?

I would like good links to those too.
However, try this...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416445
It's a great Rom to hold you over for an official CM. Without trying Slayher's actual versions but reading comments I believe it might even be more stable than where he left off.

You are probably like me....
I came from the G2 and all I knew was CM7 (most roms based off cm7 in that section at that time). Once I got the Galaxy S II, I was sad that there was no completely finished and supported cm7 builds. I tried the ones mentioned and they do work for the most part but you have to turn on gps before rebooting or you lose audio in calls.
Anyways...long story short, try out some touchwizz roms. You will find that they are almost exactly like gingerbread roms from cm7. You can get a different launcher than TouchWizz (like ADW, Launcher Pro, Go, ect) and your basically there. The settings menu will look different, and some animations and tones will be a little different....(you can customize all of this stuff BTW!) but after I used it for a week I was used to it and I was over the whole Cm7 gingerbread look that I thought I had to have!
Hope this helps.
Anyways, l

I can't speak for Sense ROMs but I've been running Chillybean's CM10 ROMs for the past few months -- only a few bugs with sound and reboots up until the most recent 20130929 build (CM10.2 / JB 4.3).

All of chillybeans's 4.3 roms that is cm10.2 beanstalk 4.3 don't have working gsm if you want gsm I would recommend Leoposas's Zoe Rom its cm10.1 and runs really great
I saw this thread on how to enable gsm on Verizon mobiles running up to 4.4 but I tired to use it on chillys PacRom 4.3....
I wonder if am doing it all right or does the rom have no gsm support at all
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394689
well it really all depends if you like sense or if you like aosp or aokp. if you just want a good rom for daily basis id suggest a sense rom. if you're into customization then more than likely you're gonna want to go with aosp or aokp. but with you using gsm those roms are kinda iffy seeing as a lot of them for gsm use are still in the works. if you do want an aosp rom tho id suggest cm7 i do believe for most builds they do have gsm working or you can try the global roms made for gsm or that Zoe rom if you're wanting to be on jellybean. ive got cdma so my options arent as limited. hope this helps in some way.
You should all try Chillybean's fly-CM10.2 its really fast and smooth and has working gsm its 4.3
Yeah its a pretty cool rom. Still having a bit of problems in the cm source tho like with screenshots and torch but its definitely worth check out.
---------- Post added at 11:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:32 PM ----------
And the thing with the gsm patch even tho it says it will enable gsm on verizon cdma phones doesnt mean it will work on all devices and patches dont always fix the problem if its deeper upstream related. Hope this helps.
Downloaded and flashed chillys cm10.2 minus the screenshot problem, absence of nav bar, buggy status bar when using xposed tinted status bar....its an awesome smooth ROM, a nic bream from the constant reboots of the 4.2 ROMs.
Thanks for the info
I've tried all of Chilly's ROMs, and the most stable for me is 10.2 (4.2.2) Slim Bean. All of the others eventually slow down and require frequent reboots. At this point, I don't know if it's something in the rom, or the B-Team kernel, but I think I've settled into SlimBean with the "stock" Chilly-evervolv kernel. It's the fastest/snappiest, and hopefully stays that way.
The only thing I'm missing is the CM Voice+ app.
I'm not sure which post I found it in, but this stock rom minus most Verizon crud is called
6.01.605.05_VZW__OTA-stripped-odex.zip
It's stabled but not "new".

What do you mean by the "stock" chilly-evervolv kernel? I've been searching for a bit and can't find it. I've had the same issue with the slowdowns and I'd like to give this one more shot before reverting back to the sense roms.

"Stock" in this case means the kernel that comes with Chilly's 10.2 slim bean, as opposed to a kernel like B-team that you have to download and flash separately.
