What works best[KERNEL] with Myn's Rom w/collins mod? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was told on the guide that it works best with nohavs kernel but im using the 4.2.1 by netarchy cfs,yet it gets to 70% in an hour with light usage.
And im a pretty heavy user.
I know he posted the recommended kernels that work on the rom but I need to know what works best with the tweak for the optimal battery life and smooth and quick. Because the kernel im on now is not smooth nor quick. A bit laggy actually.
Please im in need of help, don't flame or just leave.
What's your opinion?
I need assistance.
Thank you.

What is the Best kernal for battery life with Undervolting Frequency Schedular SetCPU

Hey devs and users alike I was wondering what would be the best kernal to use to get great battery life, im fine with 12hrs+ although id prefer 18+ im using ava-froyov7 with netachys kernal. Any recommendations im willing to switch ROMS except for Cm6 since it is a SENSELESS ROM. Or any kernals that already have a low frequency governor Please post any recommendations.

Check out this thread it could be of some use. Look at maH drawn screen on and off could give you an indication of battery usage.

[Q] Opinions: best sense rom/kernels for battery?

hey guys im sure you get these a lot.
anyway, Ive been running CM6 for awhile now but found out my hometown has 4G coverage now and where i go to school will get 4G in about a month, so I have to make the switch to sense for obvious reasons. Im not huge on performance because frankly i'm not looking to blow minds with benchmarks on quadrant, the phone is fast as **** no matter what so im looking for the best battery life. a must for me is that they keep the theme relatively stock as well, some people arent graphically inclined no offense...
also looking for a good stable kernel with good battery life.
currently running burnt droid with baked kernel #6. heard fresh was good on battery but i think his site, geekfor.me, is down, can someone confirm this?
thanks a lot for your opinions
I don't have 4G here, so I can't say for sure how much 4G affects the battery on this rom, however I've been using Ava-FroyoV10. I do know that the 4G works. I have used it once while I was traveling through a few towns that did have it.
Besides 4G, I do use my phone pretty averagely. In my opinion anyway. I'm usually constantly texting, checking up on eBay using their app, having it plugged into the radio in my car for music, or reading up on engadget. Using Wifi or 3G were applicable. My phone lasts from, about... 8:30AM to around 9 or 10PM. I get a good day's use out of it with Ava-FroyoV10.
I don't use any kernel. I did used to have Netarchy's, however the Ava's stock kernel feels better with the phone. You do not get to adjust your CPU Voltage with the stock kernel.
Your best bet is to surf the Roms and Kernels. Find which one you like best, and stick with it.
Myns warm works pretty well for me with the stock kernel.
plus its a damn good looking rom

I too am looking for suggestions on a good rom to use to have decent battery life. Is Myn the only rom? What other kernels have decent battery life?
+1 I only get like 12hours max when i hardly use my phone... battery is going downhill

Hey bud, instead of posting about this in THREE different places stick to the Q&A section OR the Myn rom post! Im not going to be a total @$$ hole about this, but wait for it someone will be. It gets obnoxious reading your exact same post in three places. Thanks and have a nice day.

You should really utilize XDA's search feature more! Instead of using the battery tweak, you should use something a little simpler for battery savings like setCPU or CPU tuner, both of which can be found on the market. Just having a profile set for screen off makes a huge difference, assuming you allow your screen to sleep. In the end, a little bit of reading and personal experimentation goes a long way in becoming more competant and knowledgeable about your device.

That's what everyone wants. Good battery life is not something that Android is known for. People are generally happy to get around 12 to 14 hours with average use. Fast... they're all fast or slow. What are you going to do wit it?
You're going to have get the Evo and see what yours does and then go from there, usage will vary. The worst battery life I've had is around eight hours and the best is around 24 hours. Others have reported battery lives of 30 hours and others overclocked their Evos.
Get it and see what yours does.
I came from a vibrant, the evo is much better. The only things I miss from the vibrant is the 16 gig internal storage and the screen. But I'm way happier with the evo. The screen is still nice, and it just works like its supposed to. I'm using fresh 4.1.1.0, stock kernel, fast and stable, average battery life
We're comin from a pure power source.
i use decks rom with sz kernel sbc with vipermods script and get amazin battery life but
the best rom with battery life ive used is myns warm 2.2 with netarchy sbc kernel and myns warm 2.2 rom is great good theme beuatiful lokking and everything workin

That was my previous set-up above, a very nice ROM.
I'm running Kings Alliance R6.2 ROM now, battery life is good and is very fast. The theme is awesome and so are the animations, that takes some away from battery life, but its a small price to pay. You can turn off animations if you want to.

[Q] Absolute Best Battery Life (ROM & Kernal + mods)

I'll be joining in a protest soon. Since having access to charge my Evo as often I usually do, I need to change ROM's I think.
I currently run MIUI 1.9.16 with Tiamat 4.0.6 SBC, no mods.
Can anyone suggest ROM's and Kernals that will grant me the best battery life as well as what mods and scripts I should run?
AOSP or Sense, doesn't matter with me.
Thank you for any advice that is given.
^_^
The best battery life I have gotten was from MikFroYo 4.4 with Netarchy-Toastmod-4.3.4
Edit: The easiest way to extend battery life, is to turn off all radios not in use (GPS/4G/Mobile Networks/Bluetooth), and turn your brightness down as far as you can.
in my opinion it seems that froyo (2.2) roms get better battery life, also running SBC is always better.. and the things said above obviously

I already do what you mentioned in the bottom part. I'll look into MikFroYo later today. Thanks. It'll take time getting used to Sense, I've been on MIUI since May, two months after I rooted.

Right now, slightly below average with the Data and everything on. I've been to busy to calibrate it and do the steps to increase battery life. Organizing a protest, funding, taking care of the house, following news articles (not a fast reader and I need glasses), etc... T_T
I need to do the whole calibration ting tomorrow morning. Mine's been a real slug with battery life lately.
The best battery life I ever had was with Koni III and Netarchy SBC Havs more

My best was from Warm 2.2 with sbc htc#15, also the toastmod with sbc was good too.

I'm currently using Swagged Out rom, With Lithids Freedom Aggressive kernel which is undervolted by -175, and V6 SuperCharger script! Its an amazingly smooth stock rom. Kernel wise its the best battery life I've ever gotten on my EVO. And as to V6 SuperCharger I've used it on every Rom I've flashed its awesome. Their are links to eveything in my signature.
I'm a flash-a-holic so i wouldn't really know wat the best combo is but i just flashed the new snowy Rom so going to give it a couple days with the aggressive freedom 9 kernel (128/768 interactivex) and see how it goes...
