The colors that only work is BLUE, PURPLE, and RED. I found out with the FROYO update the colors now work. WOrks with HANDCENT. When using handcent green= purple for led notification light! they actually work now.
I noticed this with my Twitter application! I set it to flash blue when notifications come through, and after the DK28, I noticed it would flash blue! :O
I can't get Handcent to show the purple though! I set it to Magenta AND Green, and they flash blue.
I really wish they put a RGB notification light in the epic!

Try putting it as GREEN for the color and Default for the frequency and it should turn purple. Worked for me!

I hope this is the right thread...i would think it would be but anyhow. I was wondering if it was possible to tweak the stock sms thats in the epic to show standard blue notification light instead of red....i know handcent does it but i like the stock one preferably. Im currently running bonsai 3.0.1
It would be nice if we could assign the color light for each notification style. Red, Blue and Purple as well as change the blinking duration and speed.
I know that Google Voice, by default, notifies using the blue light.
Edit: As a matter of fact, if a developer created an app like that and put it on the market, they could cater to the hearing loss crowd and be a great asset to them. We can all modify our audio to each user, why can't we modify the light for each user?
Moved to Q&A, and this is being worked on here
Hey guys I'm coming from a galaxy nexus and i was glad to see we have a notification light but what colors does it allow. For my girlfriend on my galaxy nexus I set the color to magenta but on my note 2 it is more of a blue than anything. So what colors does this notification light display?

there are some apps out their to customize your led color and assign what color with a particular app. Light flow comes to mind.
There are about 6 or so colors the led is capable of. White is one of them besides green, red, purple, blue, yellow, I think orange...
Light manager app lets you change it to any color u want.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have to ask,
Can your note 2 display orange, yellow or purple?
Mine refuses to display those, orange displays green with an orange spot , yellow only shows green, purple is anything but purple.
I have the international version, the hardware should be the same if i'm not mistaken

In the app you have to tap the thing in advanced settings that says "set hex colours for grey Samsung Galaxy Note II" It only does have the 3 led's but that allows them to be used at different intensity to simulate the other colours

I'm sorry, I searched around but couldn't find advanced settings in light flow.
Also, I tried different levels of blue and green with red at max, since red is weaker by a bit, and was unable to get white no matter what, have you been able to?
Apologies for the trouble.

Use this. Been using it since I got my phone. Makes my notification light whatever Color I want. Even custom colors. Nothing tricky about it. Very easy to use! Also u can set individual colors for every messaging app. Certain color for sms. Different Color for gmail. Different for Kik. Very nice app

Oh sorry I'm using light manager not light flow. That was kind of my fault. Its got a specific setting just for the note 2 because its format is a little different
is it possible to make it so the green light does not stay on when the phone is plugged in and fully charged?

Hi there !
I was just wondering if there was a way to change the notification led's color ?
I used to configure different colors for each notification (Telegram, SMS, agenda, etc.) on my Xperia Z3 but i'm afraid that the little led hided behind the speaker grid is only blinking in green ?!
Thanks
That's because it's not an RGB LED, it's green or red/orange (depending on what you see it as!)

On my last few HTC's they've only been green/red/orange. Doesn't really bother me. But it would have been nice if it was RGB.....
Hi i was haveing problem with screen, i looked at other amoleds and spoted that our is sooo redish so i tryed to change it to become like my s3. i succesed with it. White is white green is greed and blue is blue. So far best colors.
All you need is to disable Live display, set gama: 4 red 0 green 9 blue then dowload kernel adiutor from playstore.
In it you need to change display color to 280 red 292 green 350 blue. Reboot phone and thats it!
[Root is reqvested to change colors] IM NOT RESPOSIBOLE FOR ANY HARDWERE DAMAGE!!
Have a good day :highfive::good::good:
Definitly looks like a improvement to me, even though on my phone it doensn't matter much. Thanks, man!
Has anyone gotten colored blinking light notifications to work? Light Manager will only blink blue, Lightflow, nothing.

I use Light Manager Pro on my AT&T Note 7 and all works with no issues at all.

On a Verizon model, I was able to get Light Flow to mostly work but the LED colors seem pretty limited. For example, if I picked a color close to blue, the LED was just blue. So my Cyan LED, Light Blue LED, and Navy Blue LED were all just standard Blue.
I'm not sure if it is a hardware limitation with the LED or what.
Should also mention it would output red, pink, and green as well.
