Samsungs new app Smart View which allows you to sling video from your Samsung Smart TV to your phone. Apparently only works on the Galaxy II but people have had success with the Galaxy Tab 10.1. When loading the APK that I downloaded I get Application not installed. Any help would be cool. Ive got a Slingbox hooked up to a cablebox but the quality is horrible.

A little bit of Info about the App.

We could port it from CM builds.. that one from Galaxy Tab wouldn't work because of the resolution.
Roku has recently updated and app for Android to include local streaming of video files. I, however cannot utilize it because my Galaxy Nexus is not supported. I do not know why it's not supported.
As of this date of writing, per the Google Play website the app supports:
Samsung Galaxy SIII
Samsung Galaxy S4
Nexus 4
HTC One, and
Nexus 7 (2012 model)
I would like to know if there is a way for a rooted Galaxy Nexus to benefit from the app update. I was thinking about build.prop, but I don't want to have to change it back when I'm done using the app.
Thoughts?
Friendly bump.
you would need someone to pull it down in apk form and give it to you, which it might not work.
OR
ask whoever wrote the app to update for the GN
But the likelihood that the app is written specifically for each device would be low, versus the app poling the device to see what it is, and then given the additional features, right?

Shows compatible for my toroplus (in google play). Still showing for you as incompatible? I wouldn't mind sending you the .apk if you want to try it? Are you using a custom dpi for your ROM? I noticed that if I picked anything but 240 or the standard 320 for my gnex, many apps in google play would show up as incompatible.
Hi,
Sorry I am new to Samsung watch, Samsung store, and Tizen OS.
I did some research, Samsung Galaxy Watch Active could fit me because I like its stable OS and smooth operation. Before purchasing it, I'd like to make sure if I can find below app in Samsung store and install it into Galaxy Watch Active because one-button inconspicuous voice recording is one important feature I need.

(Sorry I have to put parenthesis in above link because this forum does not allow newbies to post http links)
Can anyone help me check that?
I tried to look for it at Samsung store online but to no avail. I did not know how to find app from there. It seems I have to buy Samsung watch as a gateway to see the app available.
Thanks a lot!:highfive:
I don't remember if it let you search for watch apps without having a watch. With that being said, its a paid app and if its in the galaxy store it should fine for a galaxy gear watch regardless of version
Sent from my SM-N950U using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Secret Recorder and Secret Recorder Pro both appear in the Samsung Store app with a Galaxy Watch.
I believe that both the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active run Tizen 4, so the app should be available for the Active as well.
