So.... Once you impale your MMS, you can never go back.
I just upgraded to EG22 like, yesterday, and I MUST have the transparent MMS again. I don't wanna be one o' dem shameless freeloaders for the rest of my life so....
Would someone be willing to teach me how to port the transparent MMS over? I'd seriously appreciate it.......

I've been working in my free time away from my themes to learn how to do this myself. I think I was close on it at one point, but got busy, then forgot what I had done. My understanding is that it's just xml an png edits. I would start by decompiling the EC05 version, look at the changes that impaler made, and see if you can reproduce them on a stock apk, then port those over to GB.
i'm getting a vertical gray line in every contact icon with or withoit picture in contacts. they dont show up in recent calls or messages, only in people. so i'm guessing it has something to do with basic template for all contacts and perrmissions, because i think they appeared after "fixing" them.
i'm using rcmix 4.0, kernel 11.1 and honeyhd theme
any help would be geratly appreciated...
tried a fresh install, with format and wipe, still there...
so i guess i'll have to live with it?
Looks like a theme issue; have you asked whoever created that theme? I'm assuming you've tried without the theme to check that it works on the 'stock' RCMix install?
Edit: there's someone else with the same problem over in the Honey HD theme thread, so I guess that's probably going to be the place to look for assistance.
thanks, i wasnt sure what it is about, so i didnt post there.
still no answer though...

Are you running a custom theme? What rom? It does look like an issue with the layout or a .9 png
yes, rcmix 4.0 and honey hd. can you please be more specific where is this problem? i'm a complete noob when it coms to dev, but i'm willing to try. which apk to look at, and where? i managed to figure out it has something to do with the basic frame for contact picture in people, but then i got lost. is the problem in phone apk or framework?

That's the thing. That image is in 4 apks. Phone, dialer, contacts and com.HTC.resources.apk. you may need to decompile all of them and change each one to find the one that is causing the issue

I found this thread] over in the evo 4g forums and was wondering if it might be a possible fix to get rid of the phantom voicemail. I have been trying to do the decompile and recompile myself but my coding skills are extremely limited and I cannot even get the phone.apk decompiled. Does anyone think this might work and if so anyone have the necessary skills to try it?

I'll give this a try when I get a chance.. Not sure if it'll work on ICS or not though.
Edit:
I went ahead and did it... And it seems to work! Great work finding that thread, the phantom voicemail notification was the one major issue I've had with CM9.
Here it is:
Phantom VM Fix for CM9 Beta 0 (Changed link to new thread)
Just flash it in CWM. Should not need to clear cache.
Let me know if it works for you. Make sure to create a backup of your Phone.apk beforehand, just in case something is broken that I haven't noticed yet.
If everything seems to work OK for you I'll probably create a new thread and keep it updated for the latest versions of CM9.
I tried this last week but wasn't able to get it to compile.
YES IT WORKS!
And now I don't have to flash back to cm7 anymore.

Yeah, it can be a little tricky with ICS system APK's. It is usually the plurals.xml, or dimens.xml files that need a little editing to get it to compile properly.
Sweet....first time I haven't had a vm notification since the switch to ics...big props....thanks a ton
Looks like its working on my end as well. Thanks for the help! For sure one of the annoying parts of CM9 wish I could hit the thanks button a hundred times.
After the rom is already built? That way I can see my music data on my head unit? I would be glad to offer up some support (monetarily) if someone can make this happen. I have yet to get a non stock rom to show the meta data on the head unit from the phone. I would really love to have the support if it is possible to add back in. I just haven't seen anyone else with a solution in my searches. Thanks if any help can be offered.
Can someone confirm this for me

hey everyone I just want to know if anyone else is having this dumb s-view cover problem. whenever I run miui based off tw, when I first install it, it works flawless. but after awhile I start getting the sview screen and I don't have an sview cover. I saw one thread address it but didn't come up with a solution to get rid of it. I was just wondering if there is anyway to deactivate it or delete an apk. any help would be greatly appreciated.
