Hello all,
How do you get the 'Me' tile back? I removed it from the Start screen, assuming it would go to the other screen. Alas it has vanished.

Go into the people hub, at the top of your list of contacts there should be a picture of you. Click on it and it will take you to your "Me" page. In the app bar at the bottom there is an option to pin to start.
Ahh! Many thanks my friend. So obvious, yet I couldn't work it out. Learn something new everyday.
Thanks again.
You removed it
I couldn't cope not having a pic of me staring back at me from my WP7 lol ohhhhh how vain i am XD.
Nice to see if someone removes it i can get it back

Hi there...
I just got mine and first thing I wanted to change was the background image.
1) disabled TouchFlo3D in settings->home>elements
2) tried to set background image
my problem: The background image appears very bright almost white, so i cant really see it and because it is so white i almost cant read any words...
Any suggestions?
Thanks
AO
any idea ? no one?
bump it up, baby
use the pic and video viewer and select the picture (you know hold your finger or stylus so it does the lil circle thing) then pick the set as today background option and it will let you set the transparency level it will only work with the standard WM screen (thats what i call the screen from the wing anyway) and not touch flo

Hey, you posted this same question on another thread in the Themes section. It's already been answered. Don't start multiple threads going forward please. It just makes a mess and it seems you can't even track all of them when they've been responded to.
ok... sry ..
And thanks for the answer: worked well!
Hey guys,
I accidentally removed the "me" tile from the start page. You know, that facebook & windows live combo thing. I can't find any way to bring it back. Does somebody have an idea?
Go to the People tile/application, click on your picture/status to bring up your "Me" section, and at the bottom menu there will be an option to re-pin it.
Ah, thanks a lot, mate. Do you probably also know how I can make that tile show my windows live picture rather than my facebook profile picture?
Can't you just click on the picture when you go into the Me tile and change it? I'm honestly not sure, my phone isn't next to me at the moment, but you could try that, if not, I really don't know.
Tapping and holding it just offers you to synchronize again. That's all.
i believe it takes the latest updated photo, so if you update your live one only, it should become the photo.

Yes, you're right. go to ME section, click on the photo, and you can change it with any photo stored in your phone~
On stock rooted EL29 rom. When I press the home button I get put into a strange lock screen that has the weather and some icons on the bottom. I have no clue how this thing got activated but I can't figure out how to dismantle it.
Pic? really? I would love a different lockscreen.
This is the screen that pops up when I hit the him button (the arrow button): have no f'n clue how this crap came out of nowhere. The home button used to take me to my main launcher screen.
Wrong screenshots. Here: how do I get rid of this sheet! LoL...disregard the first two pics. I'm too damn tired

the pictures I'm referring to are the 3rd and 4th pics: n my second post.
it is your "clock" app. I have no idea why it does this. but you need titanium backup or something like it. find the clock app and delete it. if the is a really easy way to get it to stop people let me know please. as this is the only way I have found out how to stop it. also just use a third party clock for your alarms.

I'm wondering if anyone has noticed that after CM10 M2 ROM is installed that it randomly adds app icons on the home page? Intermittently when booting app shortcuts show up on the home page. This happens even when I don't install an app. Things I installed weeks ago are randomly on my home page. never more than 1 at a time, but about 10 times a week!
Can anyone help? Help...
what apps?
Go to the play store menu and see if auto add widgets is checked if it is UN checked it and see if that solves your issue

Thanks - good to know were all in it... For the record I love CM10 M2. It's by far the best ROM I've tried hands down! But, the problem has come back.... :/
The earlier fix: I went in Play store a week ago and unchecked install icon on home page.
Original problem has not gone away. It still adds icons to desktop. I've been playing with it to try to get an idea for what causes it. If I have all spots taken on the home page for app shortcuts, it will remove the app I already have there and add another random one. Always in the upper left.
So, I figured out that it only happens on reboots. But it doesn't happen if I leave the previous randomly placed icon alone!! If I remove the previous random icon and put one of "my" choosing, then reboot - it will trash mine and put another one there. It's always a random one. It might be ones that I had grouped from another page (i.e. several icons in one spot using the group feature).
BUT - I also learned that if I leave the randomly placed app icon where it put it - then reboot - A new one doesn't come!!! The previous random one stays put for several reboots!!
Oh - one last thing. I'm using the customization of the Launcher Grid - the number of icon rows and columns. I have it currently set to 6 rows & 5 columns.
Do you think that is why?? (maybe too many icons on the page so they are too close and then get pushed off the edge???)
What do you think...
Adding a screen shot

PS - Adding a snapshot of the home page. Clock app disappears unless it was the random one from a reboot...
Hi, can you disable Sony Select - the thing on the main screen where it rotates suggested films etc for download. I am new to smart phones :silly:
I went into apps and disabled it, and force stopped the other one, yet it is still there, even after a reboot.
Can you get rid of this crap?
Thanks.

It's just a widget, so like with all widgets: long-press on it until the little trash can appears in the navbar at bottom, then drag it to the trash to remove it from your home screen.
Ah, got it... so you can configure your screen, nice.
Thought I was stuck with it... there are some Sony stuff like that on the PS3. That Singstar crap was an eyesore that couldn't be disabled
Great, much better now :good:
Thanks, lesson learned
