Ok, so maybe this is a dumb question, and sorry if it is, but I've searched and can't find anything. So, I like a few of the stock notification tones, but have a certain ROM I love with its own tones. Is there a way to get the stock tones added to the ROM I'm currently using? I've searched on Zedge and Myxer for the one specific one I like (the "color" one), but I can't find it anywhere.

Hay guys, this is my first real post outside of a few comments or thanks here or there so Ill try and make it good.
My question is this, I recently downloaded handcent sms and I rather like it, however I find it frustrating to get two text announcent icons in my notification bar. Is there anyway to remove the stock alert that anyone knows of?
Turn off notifications in the Messages app menu.

I've been trying to find a good Nexus-themed notification sound with no luck. Droid-Life recently posted one up, but that sounds too robotic for a non-Droid branded phone. I'd like to have a more cheerful, female voice instead. Anyone have one?
Have you already looking for this notification sound on Zedge application ? Because there is an impressive database.
I am quickly warming up to the Galaxy Nexus. The only thing right now that is annoying me is the fact that I cannot seem to get 4G here in Northern VA and when it cannot get 4G it seems to hang sometimes for up to 10 minutes which makes the phone essentially useless during that time.
Does anyone have a way to get newer or better ringtones? The stock ringtones are some of the worst I have ever heard for a phone. There is not one I like.
I was seraching for ringtones too, I was tired of my alarm and default ringtone.
A good starting point was going to the Android Market and doing a search. I found Sacron Ringtones. They are a bunch of apps with each app having 15 ringtones each belonging to a different theme. From theme you can link to their other apps to find more ringtones. You can preview them first and add only the ones you like.
I found quite a few ones I liked. And also they are loud! If you add Volume+ app to your phone as well, you should have no problem hearing your phone.
The last thing I'm looking for is a notification tone that sounds like a beeper. Does anyone have one to recommend?
Not sure what the issue is really. You can have whatever you want as your ringtone, sms notification tone, email notification tone etc...
Just find what you want and drop them into the appropriate folders.

So one of the first things I noticed was that the default ringtones and notification sounds SUCK!! They are super vanilla and there isn't a very good selection. I downloaded Zedge, but it is littered with comedic and silly tones.
Does anyone have any good notification and ringer tones? I'm looking for clean sounds. Similar to how the default notification sounds on the iPhone are super clean (although, I'm not looking to copy it).
I would prefer selections from Zedge... but if I can download it, I'm open to that.

Its all personal preference. I personally have songs from Persona 3 for ringtones and Murloc sounds from WoW for notifications.
my absolute favorite notification sound from zedge is sms soft win alert_23. i'm not sure where it's originally from tho.
