ah crap. just wasted his bandwidth downloading the whole dump to get these and could of just gotten them here.
Really good ringtones. I like the Enter The Nexus one, most likely will be the default ringtone since the name of the phone is Nexus One
good wallpapers too.
Very nice! I like the high res wallpapers! Can't wait to load em up!
Ok, I know this is going to sound idiotic, but how do you get this stuff on your phone. Is there an installer or something?

After you download the .rar just extract it and throw it on your sd card, for the notifications, alarms, and ringtones they'll need to have their own folders setup to have them appear in the notifications, alarms, and ringtones menu.
The link is down....
Dude, what's up with the link? fix it so we can benefit!!
I could use some new wallpapers, so please fix the link
could u fix the link would like to see the wallpapers and check out the ringtones thx
link is down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I made one on my Hero, using a already finalised bootanimation.zip and then changed the .gif files to mine to get it to work.
However all the ones i download for the DHD are a series of jpg's which isn't really ideal.
Does anybody know if you can do it with gif's anymore?
If so, anybody got any file examples?
Thanks.
i've made some bootanimations too, and .jpg and .png work fine!
But if you want to convert your files, just download some application from the internet that does it?
*Adobe Photoshop (if you already have it) does the trick.
*Axialis IconWorkshop is also good
I used these two to make my bootanimation.
Yeah but i used to be able to use gifs so i just wanna know if thats possible still with the DHD. Gif's are easier for me, i don't have photoshop
Just try it, im not 100% sure.
Get any gif images, even if it doesnt look nice, and make a bootanimation.zip and put it in the system.
If the pic loads then i guess it does.
Please report back if it does, i would like to know too!
It won't because the png ones use a config file that looks nothing like the gif ones.
any custom ringtone i try on the phone, whether .ogg .mp3 .wav will only ring once and stop repeating during the call, however the phone keeps vibrating on
stock tones work fine
another sidebug: if you have no bars and try to make a call, the phone gives you error saying to turn off airplane mode which it's not in
wtf??
I have the same issue
same here.. I want my custom ringtone to be used on my new GN
I've found that myself...
MP3 ringtones won't repeat.
It will loop ringtones if you convert the mp3 to OGG format, and in the file info (you can edit this in Winamp for example), create a field called ANDROID_LOOP and set the value to TRUE.

Where do you store the ogg file to use it for custom ring tones?
Bug or intentional... Hmm

Funnily enough, in the folder called "ringtones" when you connect it up to your PC.
There's a seperate folder for notifications...
and there's also a seperate folder for alarms!
Fun isnt it?

Interesting, so they're forcing us to use the OGG format.
Will the created field work on a regular MP3?

I don't use winamp, but itunes.
How can i edit the file info?
I can edit information about title, album, author..
Could someone post a screenshot of the created field with winamp ?
Same issue here with a mp3 again as above.
Will try to create and edit the ogg later.
Oh, I cannot imagine OGG format can solve the problem. Before I see this, I write a really little app to solve the problem.
Cyclic Ringtone

Yes, sucks that it doesn't loop.
You guys can always use a program called "goldwave" to lengthen your mp3's. Copy and paste the mp3 until it's as long as you need...

why don't you actually try what i said before dismissing it, imbecile? sheesh, some people like to make things overly complicated and have yet more processes they dont need running on their phones

No, I did not dismiss your solution. On the contrary, I do really appreciate the OGG+ANDROID_LOOP way to solve the ringtone issue I apologize if I give you an impression that I don't like it.
It just turn out that I see this thread after I have finished the app...
As a ordinary user point of view, I like your solution more than mine. But there are scenarios that it is not always easy to convert a ringtone to OGG from MP3 and add a flag on the street. (may be someone develop an app for that? )
I found it easier to convert the file in Audacity and in the save dialog box you can add a new field called ANDROID_LOOP and set it to 'True'
Worked fine
Thank you all for the very useful information I have found in this thread. I have a question though: is this also applicable for alarms, or just for actual ringtones? TIA

I was "served" with this issue too with my brand new Galaxy Nexus. The ring tones I use are already in OGG format, just lacked the ANDROID_LOOP tag. Instead converting them again with Audacity, I found a little proggie which can just edit the tags. Here is a link to the download location - http://www.gausi.de/flogger-en.html
Sources are included as well as pre-compiled version (just exe to start - no installation or anything - very simple). Precompiled one is in German, but isn't difficult to figure out. Worked for me like a charm to make my ring tones looping. Thanks for the ANDROID_LOOP tip!!!

hmm...not sure about alarms, the ones i took off my old N900 repeat OK when the alarm goes off so i dont know if it's just rings tones, why not give it a try and see for youself?
Not like you have to wait for your usual alarm to test it!
And for the linux guys (like me) this is a simple batch command that will convert a mp3 file to a an ogg auto-repeat ringtone:
mpg321 custom_ringtone.mp3 -w raw && oggenc raw -c "ANDROID_LOOP=TRUE" -o custom_ringtone.ogg ; rm -f raw
The following link is to an online file converter. You can upload any sound file and convert it to ogg, wav, mp3 and wma. I use this site all the time. You can use this to convert sound clips into files for your PowerOff and PowerOn. Once you download the converted file, name it PowerOn.ogg and replace the file in SYSTEM/MEDIA/AUDIO/UI and when you boot the phone on this is the file that will be played. If you want to do PowerOff sound file make sure to make an OGG and a WAV file the Off sequence.
Make sure to make a copy of the original PowerOn or PowerOff file, in case you dont like what ever you made.

This is a website, no need to download any software on your PC. I hate to have to download software that I will only use from time to time. That is why I posted this link, i am sure there are others out there that do not want to download software just to convert a few files.
Where is the link ?

It is back up, sorry about that. I swore I had in there
What is the advantage of having a file in that format? I use a custom ringtone that is a "midi" file. Why would I worry about converting it?

For power on and power off sounds. The power on is an ogg file as the power off along with a wave file.
So you can make whatever sound clip you want to hear when you turn the phone off and on.

Aha, Explodingboy did something similar to this a while back for some other phone function. I had the Stewie "How dare you!" on my phone for a while. It was hysterical. I still don't understand why it has to be in that format, unless you are saying only that format would work. You do mention other formats in the first post.
I forgot I had posted this.

I use Audacity for this, but it's not a bad find. Thanks for the reference!
Pretty much just find a sound on zedge or whatever and rename it to poweron or off.ogg and itworks fine

As the title says, I deleted the ui sounds by mistake and I need to bring them back. If I found a download for the files that would work, but I can't seem to find any. The specific file I need replaced is system/media/audio/ui
If someone could provide that file for download, that would be amazing.
Hey Patrick, I read your post and I was actually generous to give you one of my ui sounds. Since I'm a New member, I can't puts links but I can put is this link:
dropbox(dot)com/s/x14zkga28iztjy5/LG_G3_ATT_UI_SOUNDS.zip?dl=0
Yes, they are att, but it's better than nothing, don't you thing? Anyways I hope you enjoy this since you deleted your system ui sounds. Note: since I was playing around with system ui "Effect_tick" I've sort of modded it and added the modded and original in the .zip file. Just rename "Effect_tick.ogg.original" to "Effect_tick.ogg" if you want old original tick sound. Or you can keep mine or make your own. Just remember to reboot after okay. Have a nice day bruh
