I have noticed that since yesterday I can send texts but not receive them. Began while I was on 175 and now on 177. What did I do????
I'm not sure exactly when this started, I don't text all that much.
Edit: fixed by flashing fresh and reflashing cm
swyped from my cyanogenized evo

I initially had cyanogens mod installed on my EVO and randomly started having issues. My text messages would not send, but I could receive them and make phone calls. I then flashed AVA Froyo 7 and couldn't send or receive texts, or make phone calls. I noticed my phone wasn't connecting to the network properly as there was no 3G icon in the taskbar. However, I could browse the internet and all of my contacts synced from gmail. Then I flashed the EVO Nonsense Droidx rom and same thing. No texts or calls. Contacts synced.
I don't know what to do, my evo has turned into a very expensive paperweight!
*Side notes:
I wiped before each rom install, and installed the newest radios.
A few days ago I sent a mass text to about 100 people with birthday plans. Not sure, but maybe that's why my phone is messed up?
I've been running MIUI 0.11.5 no problem.
I updated to the 0.12 on Saturday night. Pretty sure texting was still ok.
But now since then, I can send text, but CANNOT receive them. So thinking it was the new version causing the problem, I flashed my nandroid backup. Still no texts.
So now I flashed CM6. Still not getting texts. Any ideas? Please help and much appreciated.
I know there are several topics on the same issue, but mine seems to be a little more unique. I am running a rooted evo on myn's warm 2.2 rls 5. I have updated my PRL and Profile umpteen times. I am unable to receive ANY text messages until I make a phone call or check my voicemail, at which time they all come flooding in at once. I have had sprint reset my phone once which solved the problem temporarily for a few hours, and it is now back. This is the most frustrating issue for me, as I text quite a bit. I can send absolutely no problems to verizion, AT&T and sprint users alike and they receive fine, where I do not get their reply. Is there any advice, this came randomly out of the blue yesterday and has been boggling me since. I am on a fresh wipe (Caulkins wipe all, fresh install). I connect fine and downloaded 28 apps from the market no problem on the network and also get 4G. I am boggled.
Any help is greatly appreciated, and I can provide more information if needed.

Yes. I RUU'd back to all stock, unrooted as well w/ S-On. The problem is now less unique to me. Several other people in the same area are having the same exact problem, having to call their voicemail to get the text messages, then having them stop when the phone call is hung up. I am receiving a repalcement Evo this afternoon hopefully.
Hey guys, I'm having a problem lately.
My MMS messeges are disappearing after downloading. Nowhere to be found. It started after I had installed GOSMS. So I deleted the program, But continued to have the problem.
Its rooted and running Warm Z twopointtwo with the latest Netarchy kernal. All radio/pri/prl profiles are up to date.
Ive read about all texts disappearing but that is not my problem. Only new MMS are disappearing. Not all the time, but sometimes it happens. I can't find them in Handcent (default text program) nor the stock message program.
Go back in a ways in the thread. When I get new mms they are time stamped from whatever server they are coming from, so they appear to be received about 6 hours earlier and pop up in between old texts.
Im still not seeing them. Could they be auto deleting from the time stamp? I have my MMS limit set to auto delete at 10 because I get alot of MMS's.
You could try increasing the limit just to see if that works. Do you have a limit on txt too? I would increase the limit on both. And I,m sure you already knew this, but when you reach the top of your message thread you can hit the botton to show more messages. I would just keep going back until the first message. They are in there somewhere.
Thanks. I'll try that. I do have them limited to 225 texts per person because I text alot. I'll remove all MMS from the convo and see what happens next time this happens, If it is indeed farther back in the convo. It's just odd I've never had this problem before I installed gosms. I have been using the ROM 3 week prior. the night I installed gosms is the night it started messing up.
So i apologize if this is a duplicate, or if its not the correct area, but i rooted my evo 4g tonight, installed Cyanogenmod-7.1.0-Supersonic on it, everything seems to be running fine, until i tried to send a txt message and i wont go through, any ideas?
U should try cm7 thread u might get a quicker response
actually i got the problem resolved, i googled it, and a solution popped up, so i tried it, the issue was that it wast auto spiting texts over 160, and since the only one i tried was 168 LOL it wast going through. thanks for the response tho!
