Phone dial, ending call, etc.. problems.. Am I the only one?

Hi forum!
Before anything, thanks for your invaluable help and support, without it I would feel even more lonly on my PPC life
OK, said so...
I'm having currently some problems with the phone part of this great device. Sometimes when I answer a call (with the hardware key) it takes 2 to 3 seconds before I can hear anything from the person calling me. The same happens when I hang. It takes time to hang the conversation, so I never know if it's really hanged..
Lately I'm having also problems with the "today" app I think. It never shows up and the upper bar (status?) does not change when I receive a call.
I went trhu a hard resseting and restore (Sprite) process 1 week ago, but I had the phone problems before that...

by the sound of it, you have upgraded to the wm5.0 rom, i have these problems also, until there is a known fix for the minor bugs, with the today screen you can just go into settings and today, then come out again, and what wasnt there before should be there now, also , have you tried to upgrade the radio rom too??? 8)

thanks for your answer! But I'm currently using wm2003. Though I'm considering switching to wm5 now we can if I don't get a solution to this
I normally use the phone for work-job and this minor things annoys me big deal!

PLease, someone help!

bluetooth problem - URGENT!

Hey u guys! Ive got a major problem on my tytn. I have a Crc's 10.something last ROM (WM 6.1) and a big BT problem. Ive got it "on" in the comm manager, "on" in windows, both beam options on and that option "allow other devices to see me". Well the problem is that the other devices can only see me if I have the PDA on! I mean, if it is in standby mode, other devices can't find me! It becomes a big problem when I turn on my BT headset and it cant find the phone =(. Is there a way to solve this? maybe editing something on the registry?

try installing schaaps config and turning off all the power save settigns

nothing m8. No can do! everybody else can find their Hermes in standby mode?
anyone know a registry tweak for this?

Solved by removing those saving power options in advanced config

actually it didn't work. the bt doesn't go off when I put the device in standby, it takes about 3 or 4 secunds to turn it off... anyway I don't know what to do...help

Have you tried reflashing? I'm using 10.8 and it has no problems at all when it is in standby and a call comes in, or I start a call from the headset while the phone is still in standby.
If it worked briefly by changing the power settings, try doing that, then delete and recreate the partnership before doing anything else, that might work more reliably.

Yes, i already flashed 3 times! But all the ROMS come with power tweaks! My radio rom is 1.48.00.10 e I dont know if it has anything to do with... Its only the BT problem, i can receive calls and messages, everything works! Im using 10.8 either!

whenever you get any problem on your device, and before you try to understand what kind of problem you have, you open your mouth speechlessly, and you go directly "Hermes Mobile 6" instead of "Hermes Accessories" to post a new thread and ask a very sweet sweet question
Advice: UPGRADE -or whatever you may call it- to Nokia, SE, Sagem, Motorola or any non WM based device and forget about all these problems

That's the way it is - if it in standby, BT is off.
No fixes, patches or anything will sort it as that's just the way it is.

Im not sure thats right because I also have an HTC Prophet and Wizard and they can both be discoverable on standby mode! If it wasn't a possibility then why should the blue led blink in standby mode?

i now see this is an all hermes issue that hasnt yet been fixed.
Although there are some registry tweaks. Does anyone know of a good one to force the BT to stay on even in suspend mode?

a temp fix is to leave it plugged into mains/pc shouldn't then go into sleep mode (well mine dosnt) then
1. re flash rom (either htc rom if stock, or any rom if moded).
2 re turn to supplier as faulty goods.

are you running a stock rom?? What do you have installed 2 better help

What i have ruming
Build 21882.5.0.73 by josh my radio 4.49.25.17 sector's htc hd2-srs wowhd v1.5 "wavedev.reg app""" this app is placed in my registe and i have the at&t tilt 2 if need more information let me know but it only does it sometimes only when it goes into sleep mode by the WAY I have s2u2 lock on it thanks i'll be waiting here your respond on this THANKS AGAIN

i was having a similar problem when i changed my rom it got solved well same rom newer version try that let us know what happens the one you have is not the one i had, I also had problems with the GPS Weather Radar. could be app rom miscompatability

Okay i'am looking into changing my rom as we speak i will report back on this subject thanks for listening and if anybody else experience this with there phone plz post if you found what could cause this thanks guys your the best .

**Possibly Solved** No SMS, MMS Notification During Standby/Sleep

I think I may have stumbled onto a solution to our dreaded quiet phone that doesnt notify us of a SMS or MMS and possibly email when the phone goes to sleep or standby. I have searched asked inquired, and beat every search engine and found absolutely nothing. So being frustrated of seeing msgs pop up when I hit the power button to wake the phone up I went hunting and I think I found it. I tested this all of today and so far I havent missed one yet, and normally I miss at least 3 a day. Its still in a testing phase so I DONT guarantee this works, but with some feedback with others, it might be the solution. I did alot of comparing with my other phones and my 8125 and 8525 had a different value so i changed it to that value.
I have made it a cab file so that anyone who wants to try it can uninstall it if it doesnt work, I suggest a soft reset after making this change. This changes the following location:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:00000001
to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:00000000
Good Luck! And if it works or doesnt, please leave feedback of either thanx or didnt work, like I said so far its working on my att tilt 2 stock eu rom 1.86

Well at least its here, I know there is a ton of posts going around in here about this problem, and I did munerous searches, but obviously if you dont get the right keyword you'll never find the post.

so what does this do? light the screen up everytime there is a message? or basically just solve the problem of message not ringing in sleep mode?

Basically it does the same thing it did with the 8125 and the 8525 when a msg comes in the screen wakes up from sleep, so far (I thought) I might have found a solution, but it seems I was beaten to it.
So far there isnt a solution found yet of the alert coming thru without lighting the screen up as far as I know.

yea, i thought it lights up the screen when msg comes. I have a habit of putting the phone to sleep without locking it, so it might cause problem when i put it in my pocket as i receive message more than calls.

Yeah but if you have the end key setup as a long hold it will lock the screen to prevent that accidential tapping of the screen. Unless you have a modded rom then you would have to see what key it is. But hey for me its better then missing a msg.

big problem with incoming calls

as the title says,when i have an incoming call and drug the slider to answer ,screen freezes and i have to reboot phone to get it working again!!
most of the time happens when i have it in my pocket..
this does not happen everytime of course but in ten calls it will happen three times,
that s the frequency.
my screen is not original,i replaced it myself with one from ebay,but was working fine for months.
i removed my screen protector,did all service tests,searched a lot,now i m flashing stock lollipop with flashtool to see if it happens again,will try safe mode also(but i m not installing any apps any way ).
did anyone faced a situation like mine before?

Never happened to me, but seems like what you're doing is the best route. Which rom were you on? Maybe check in with rom-specific forum/thread.

it happens also in official rom,no apps installed,standard settings,so i guess it s a hardware problem:crying:
something wrong with the screen maybe(which is working in every touch,everywhere else,just freezes in incoming calls)
i ll try to find another way to accept calls.intelligent gestures,maybe with power button
i will search for apps for alternative way to answer calls.
