I have perm root, bacon bits (new version for the track pad wake mod)
Every time I make a wi-fi call, it will drop when the screen turns off. I have the no sleep settings turned on for wifi.
It's as if the wi-fi calling app closes when the screen turns off and reopens when the screen turns back on.
Any ideas?

Hi everyone,
Is the WiFi sleep policy working properly?
I've always belived that the leaving WiFi on durning the night (sync is left on) and it would take less power than using 3G (especially in a bad area)...
Basically, I leave my WiFi on, with the sleep policy set to never (uses more power), but looking at the battery stats, it turns off...
Please see screen shots attached... You can see that WiFi turns off...
Is this a bug?
Thanks, Matt
for some reason, both wifi and data turn off during the night. This is apparent when turning the phone on - gmail alerts of new email that was sent during the night.
So all data turns off durning the night? surely there is a setting for this?
I do see that me g-mail emails come through at 7 o clock in the morning...
hmmmm strange!
Thankis for the reply!
It's a common issue:

I'm experiencing it too..
It's not only during the night, but it seems that during the standby the HOX suspend randomly the connectivity
same here.
Must be a battery save that HTC implemented.
We should def have the option to change this though.
lol mine is the opposite. I set my wifi to sleep when screen is off, but it keeps changing back to always on when screen off.
Kinda annoying
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a fix that when you have wifi turned on and are listening for example to a stream it will stop as soon as the display turns off.
With the Transformer Pad this is not the case for example.
May be there is a fix?
Best,
Blubberor
I know if you go into wifi settings and hit the menu key you can get an adavced mode and adjust the wifi policy there. A lot of roms I have seen on various phones have it set to turn wifi off when the screen goes off. I set mine to never turn wifi off and no more problems.
Sent from my G2 running the random rom of the day.
Firmware B111, kicking out of wifi when screen goes off. Wifi is set up "never go off", but still it goes.
I see it on "Smart Profiles",(tried "Profile Flow" also), as I made a rule based on home wifi to switch BT off, when I'm at home.
After some time, when screen goes off, it turns BT on. When I take the phone, it "see" wifi and switches BT off again. In log file of Profile Flow I can see, how the "HOME" profile goes on and off every 5-10 or 15 minutes.
So, the problem is- why WIFI does not keep on all the time. All the possible battery savers are taken off, but still no constant wireless network connection during phone sleep...
And my wifi based profiles don't work as they suppose to...
double check power save option?

I had a similar issue but when I switch Power Plan option from Smart to Normal in Power Manager, it seems it's ok now

Tried that once, but no luck...I'll try again!
About crapware...don't know- all apps are from Play store...
Pretty simple, when you use the flashlight it stays on until the screen goes to sleep. Is there any way to make it stay on until you turn it off yourself?
This started happening today. When I turn my screen off my signal status disappears and when I turn the screen on it comes back.
The signal bars stay but the 4G LTE icon disappears with screen off and reappears with screen turned on.
Baffling ?
How do you see anything with the screen turned off anyway?
I'm not understanding the problem here....
Because for a split second before the screen goes off and can see the 4G LTE icon disappear and when I turn the screen on it doesn't come back for 1 or 2 seconds. And I do not receive any messages or updates from apps while screen is off. It's like something is turning off my data when I turn the screen off.
Found out the problem it was a battery saving app that I didn't realize I had on my phone still. Thanks for the replies.
