Are these found anywhere else other than at a Verizon store?

I picked mine up at best buy. Anywhere where they sold the original dRoid car dock.

Just picked mine up from Verizon for $30, great dock!
I wish I waited now, but I love it. I have it setup with locale when I **** it to automatically turn on bluetooth, gps, and pandora. Well worth the money to have it do everything you want.

It really is a very well made dock. I'm just wondering if it's smart to just leave it suctioned to the window or if I can remove it from time to time.
Once I found where I wanted it, I just leave mine up all the time. I haven't had it fall yet.

I used a hockey puck in the center dash cup holder. The dock sticks to the hockey puck perfectly...just a thought for those who want the dock without putting on the windshield of their car.
I got mine at new egg for 35 with the charger, at least 15 dollars less than verizon in the bundle.
Not sure if you need one with power, but for 20 bucks the slip grip for the X on ebay is damn sturdy if you ask me.
I would recommend it
If i didnt have to take off my case, it would be perfect...
I just got mine last night and so far I'm very impressed. I just wish it came with a charging cable so I don't have to buy yet another data cable

I just ordered one that slips into the cd slot of my car radio. I'll let you know how it works out...
Love this cd insert mount! Works really well and half the price of the verizon one.
Do you have a link to the cd insert mount? Sounds like it might be perfect for me.
Got mine on tuesday and it works like a charm. I use mine with my jabra sp700 to utilize the fm tuner because my car has a stock am/fm radio. It works flawlessly with google's voice app and still trying to get it to work with vlingo. But the dock is awesome!! By the way, its the verizon moto dock.

I bought the model from mountekusa on ebay and it is perfect for my car. Thanks for the suggestion.
FINALLY, a suction cup that I'll NEVER have to worry about. This thing kicks tail.
A little bulky, but hey, I'm in a car, and I aint trying to put anything in my pocket.
SOLID.
Can't edit above- guess I'm still a n00b.
Clarification: I was referencing the HTC mount specifically designed for the T-bolt.

The car dock is great! Used it over the weekend. Integrated it with my radio, it works great. Tough to remove though. But in time, I guess it will loosen up a bit.

Yes. Verizon's. Apologies, I believe I had said "HTC mount" earlier. It's the one sold straight from vzw.
Still loving it. Hope they make one that will fit the extended battery, some day.
The car mount is great, got mine directly from Verizon corporate store. It comes with attachments to mount it to the windshield or the dash, but beware that the phone must be removed from most OEM cases (i have a body glove and a double case) as the phone is otherwise to bulky to fit in the dock.

Love the car dock. Wish it had an audio out, but most don't. The only grip I have, is with the tbolt. When i plug an aux cable from the phone to my radio, and I get a call, the mic will not work. I'm assuming the phone thinks it's a headset with a mic. My Vibrant worked with the aux cable plugged in, except for a few OC kernels. Anybody know if this can be changed? like a toggle? Searched the market for a mic toggle app, but got nothing.
I used mine for the first time yesterday.. Phone was the DEVIL to get out or of the mount. and it vibrates alot.

Yea, I like the mount, but it does seem to have a bit of vibration to it. I had a similar mount for the Droid X and it didnt vibrate this much.

Known issue, no fixes......yet. Though SOMEone said they could get their iphone ear buds to work(mic on phone works when buds plugged in)
Suggestion, at bestbuy, there is a mic that you attach to the the phone and can be attached to another 3.5mm aux in of your car. I have it and it works well. Its a generic dynex mic.

What I found after like a week, and maybe I am just not too observant, but the top clip flips up, and gets completely out of the way. Then in pops in and out much much easier. I agree though it does vibrate a bit. Could be due to the weight of the device?

yeah i was having a problem with the thing actually staying on the window.. but it was my fault, i wasnt doing it right... after everything got tightened down and i was using it the way it was intended... its pretty stable.. and the main camera is not obstructed so you can shoot video while driving.

+1 I'm VERY disappointed with how much it vibrates. and I'm in a brand new truck.
My OG droid car mount didn't vibrate at all.
I posted a review on this a week or two after the phone came out.
The usb wears down after using it a bit and it comes out fairly easily.
I rarely get vibration and I'm in a 2003 Grand Cherokee...dont think its a matter of how new or old your vehicle is...more than likely its a matter of how your vehicles suspension is designed.
Suction cup is solid, havent had it fall off yet.
It is a bit bulky and its too bad it wont work with any cases or an extended battery.
I got a 6' cable from monoprice and ran it behind the dash so it looks fairly clean.
Just wish you could modify the stock car panel with a couple more items but oh well, in due time i suppose. *Just found a download for google car home, nice customization, looks just like the stock and it seems to be working fairly well. It's a little laggy when adding non-car shortcuts to the screen.*
But up to date, I love it, use it almost every day.
The car dock kicks ass, too bad google maps sucks. I drive from NY to Philadelphia occasionally and use Garmin. After I got the dock I thought hey I don't need Garmin I'll just use the phone. Well a trip that takes me 2.5 hours ended up being a 3.5 hour trip because of google maps retarded routing..... /rant over

Strange, I had the opposite problem.
I'm driving a junker toyota tercel that needs new shocks/struts(have to put in neutral at stop lights so my teeth stop chattering).
My OG Moto Droid Mount(from Moto) rattled like a mother. This Verizon tbolt mount doesn't whatsoever.
I recently got my powered ProClip car mount for my Thunderbolt, and I posted a video of it on YouTube. Here it is in case you're wondering whether this is the right car mount for you.

Agreed. It's actually only $29.99 at the VZW store. However, the OEM mount doesn't allow for an extended battery, and the phone recognizes the charger as USB so it's hella slow when charging. It's an alternative, but not a good one - I returned mine.
Slow charging
Thats one of the biggest Problem the thing with the horrible slow chargingtimes. When i want to charge my phone and i dont have much time lets say about 15 minutes and i charge it i want at least 10 percent battery and not just 1 =)

agreed, my mini-usb charger just charges. plus i looked at the location for the Scion TC from proClip and it is in a very bad spot. you have to look down to see where your going.
i got this sand bag sand, that has a flat plastic area, the VZW stand sticks to it like champion, plus that stand i got from big-o-lots for $10, it does not move or vibrate. I'll up load a pic of it later.

The charger i used works fine when plugged directly into the phone and it recognizes it as an ac charger. However, when using as a pass through with the iGrip dock it didn't work/showed as USB. Ymmv.
i got a question for ya..
i already have the car mount and i just suction cup whatever i use to it. on the mount for the phone that has the 4 screw holes.. is that attached to the rest of the mount via a tilt/swivel ball joint?
cuz what id do is attach a ball mount suction cup to the TB mount and then obviously suction cup it to the car mount. no screwing anything in and it allows you to use one car mount for almost every device u have.

Nevermind, I just realized this link is the same product as the retail Verizon sells.
looks cool but pretty expensive for both pieces. probably gonna go with that amazon deal on the suction mount for now
ok so after watching this video I had to try this product out. I have a Arkon with charger now, the only I don't like about the Arkon is that it is a charger with the phone holder attached. So it does wiggle a little when driving. I bought the proclip last week and got it on Saturday. Let me say it is night and day difference from the Arkon. It is solid and doesn't wiggle when driving. If you have the money I would say go for it.
Will this work with a Verizon skin?

i have the case mate barely there and it works with that. I also have the case and clip from bestbuy which does not work.

Any way to set up this clip with a suction cup to mount to the windshield? Have the Droid 1 VZW dock and a factory Garmin nuvi 200 mount sitting around.

They sell several different adapters. If your mount would work with one of these then it should be fine.

EDIT: Review.
Ok, I bought this from the store. I thought I'll wait to see if there was a better one, but I was unconvinced, not to mention some of them looked this, atleast from the suggestions of one of the store reps.
The mount costs 30 dollars outright from the store. If you buy two accessories, they take 20percent off both, three or more accessories and the discount becomes 25percent.
The box comes with: a cradle, window (suction) mount, a circular sticky pad (to mount the unit over the dash), and an alcohol wipe. It sucks that this does not come with the usb car charger, which apparently was a separate purchase for me ($5 dollars on amazon instead of $30 at the store).
So far I like it. Unlike other reviews, I have found it fairly easy to mount it, even with only one hand. And once you snap the lock on the top, it stays there. Once mounted, it automatically launches the car panel app, whether the dock itself is plugged in to a power source or not.
Although its sturdy, sometimes it shakes when you hit a bump on the road. Plus, adjusting the mount itself requires two hands though, and there are a couple of knobs that you can sort of tighten the adjustment into place. These are the only two quirks that I have with this.
Overall, I like it. As someone who uses the phone navigation quite a lot, it helps to have your phone mounted instead of fumbling around while driving, which is a definite no-no.
Definitely interested in this. Missing my DX's car mount.

My family has 3 of these mounts. The first two had the two "teeth" in the usb connector, which made it harder to pull the TB out. But the last one was bought more recently and it's missing the teeth. I think VZW heard people's complaints and redesigned it. On that mount, the TB comes off easily.
Awesome - thanks for taking the time to post pictures and a write review!
I use my phone for navigation a lot and have been holding off on getting the car mount because of poor reviews. But this definitely looks a lot better than keeping it on my lap

I just leave the phone angled at like 30* upwards so that all of the weight isn't on the kickstand, but everything is still completely visible. I'm thinking of adding a small support as well though. (I have a spare console vent, so if I mess it up I can replace it easy enough).

Wouldn't any 3.5mm stereo cable work? I have a 2 foot cable I used to plug a cowon q5w to my car's unit. Sounded pretty nice, and I am thinking of using it for this phone in the car cradle.
Just to add to the OP's review, my recent purchase of this cradle also shows no issue with being too tight. I was disappointed it came without a power cable, though I already had one from amazon for $5 anyway. And finally, my Thunderbolt gets SUPER hot while plugged into this cradle. Almost too hot to handle.

I just today put the sticky pad below the ac vents closer to the shift stick an mounted my dock there, and so far it hasnt shown any heat issues. Previously it did, but I had it on my windshield during the day, when the sunlight was basically at the phone during the time it was there.
My .02 on the car mount....
1) Phone does get hot I noticed too. I pointed one of my dash vents directly up toward the phone, doesn't overheat, but wondering what will happen in winter when cool air isn't blowing on it...
2) Phone does tend to jiggle a little bit more than on previous car mounts I have owned. Not enough to bother me, but it's been mentioned as a complaint by others, and it does happen.
3) The stock music player does crazy things when in the car mount. I solved this by downloading the Android Music app from the market, no more issues, and free.
4) Not a huge fan of the stock Car Dock mode, as it doesn't have a link to music or voice search. I fixed this by downloading Google Car Home from the market. Free, and customizable to any app you want to use.
5) Any 3.5mm cable will work with this mount, however, the one I already owned was too big to clip into the back of the mount (has 1 clip for a charger, 1 for 3.5mm cable). Getting a standard sized one worked great however, hangs next to car dock for easy access once phone is in position.
Finally, I spoke to an HTC rep about the car dock a couple of weeks ago. He told me that the mount currently for sale is NOT manufactured by HTC, but that one from HTC was coming out soon (no idea to timeframe).
Hope this helps!

Anyone figure out a way to use this with the extended battery? Getting it in & out is a pain.
I just picked this up. I really like me. I am rooted and using BAMF 1.6 remix with the Google Car.
Verizon stores in wichita are clearing out the tbt accesories. I got a locking suction cup mount for $10. Best money ive spent. I told my wife i needed a new nav system until i used the phone for nav in houston, then i said i just needed a mount. This thing is awesome, car charger plugs in, phone locks in, and car dock comes on when phone inserted. I answer calls, speak texts, and speak to navigation. Its great!

if you're talking about the "official" mount (from iGrip) then yes, it is pretty awesome. It's even better if you mount the dock onto the dash-mount instead. If you clean the area first and then mount it, that thing will never move out of place - I've had mine installed that way since March 17th (when the phone came out) and it hasn't budged at all. I also put a 90 degree adapter on the 3.5mm audio jack and routed the wires behind it (and through the dash board) so it looks really nice - almost as if it came with my car.

Anyone have a recommendation for a mount that would make it possible to record traffic? Reading about the iGrip one suggests it blocks part of the view.
Right now I am considering the following:
walmart.com/ip/Scosche-Mobile-Windshield-and-Vent-Mount-Kit/14913091
extremepda.com/HTC-Thunderbolt-Gooseneck-Windshield-Suction-Cup-Car-Mount_p_2293.html
(Sorry, new user and can't link yet)
You can reposition the iGrip charger so that it doesn't block any of the camera, I've done it a few times when I felt like recording myself driving for no reason.
