Wow that looks the business that X1 does...hmmm i want one so bad but dont know if i can wait that long before they release it...knowing SE it will be sometime next yr before its released although rumours abound that it will be released in Sept. Massive dilemma for me...either get the HTC Diamond or wait for the X1..
i kinda doubt september myself but it does seem sweet

LOL same here, SE never get it right with their phone launches ie the SE P990i took an age to finally hit the shelves and when it did, people werent that impressed with it...i know i wasnt...still have mine in a box at home. Got to get round to selling it at some point but i know it wont fetch much...probably £100 if anything and like a fool i spent a good £600 on it when it first was released.
Anyways can only hope that when and if it gets released that SE get it right and dont ship a phone with loads of bugs in it...nothing annoys me more than getting a new phone and it crashes all the time.
Something in the link got my heart pumping!
Nice girls, ehm.......I mean phone, ofcourse.

haha same with me bought the p990i once it came out cuz of the long wait..after a few months dumped it for the p1i and then dumped that for the tytnII...now gotta wait for the x1 and hope i wont need to dump that
dumped 990i, P1i and I hope I wont with X1 if I shift that way or better get myself Touch Pro
T_T I sold my Xperia for the Touch Pro 2. I love the TP2, but I also loved the Xperia!! How do you guys think I did.... was it the right choice? Will I BE HAPPY?!
yeah, i guess you'll be happy, i would. I'd also like the tp2, because of the larger screen and the better keyboard. except for that, both are nearly the same. i don't mind to trade with you if you miss the xperia, hehehe.
lol thanks for the reassurance
I did the same thing, sold my X1 for the TP2. Both are great phones, the X1 has some good points, as does the TP2. I do like the larger screen on the TP2 but miss the physical buttons from the X1.
If you're that attached to your X1, why'd you sell it?
I don't think you'll be dissapointed with the TP2, though.
kinda an odd thread, but its a tradeoff. i wouldn't say one is that much better than the other. the tp2 is the hot stuff right now, but i love physical buttons and i hate that the iphone made the rest of the world feel like buttons are so out of style. if i had the x1, i'd have kept it except that the tp2 from tmobile gives me my first taste of 3g for $5.99, so its clear cut. my gf got a hero yesterday and its slick, but man, 3g is nice...
I never sell a phone after I have bought it (I give away phones that I consider a p.o.s.). Wow that must have been painful. The X1 is nice my wife uses one she is so upset right now that she has to use my TP2 while she waits on her RMA. She adapted really fast to the difference in hardware but still complains about no d-pad. The TP2 is just taking off and since you are a member here I suspect you will enjoy the ROM's for the TP2 as much if not more than the X1. Since the TP2 is really popular right now all the goodies and focus is on it. So there is a big bonus!
P.S. look at it this way you can always buy another and start collecting them as junk electronics drawer accessories.
Yeah, I noticed the attention the TP2 is getting. Hopefully I'll adapt myself fine without the dpad!
I didn't know what the Xperia was so I googled it. Nice looking phone!

Since the Q1 is now "updated", I wonder how this would compare to the t1 bluetooth headset that they sell?
Guess I made a good choice ordering the t1 today. No one seems to be saying, "Wait! The t1 sucks"
the T1 is a great headset i love it but the only problem i have with it is the ear hook the rubber ear holder is not always spot on in the ear. I may look around and see what the price is on this one or see what the latest update does for the Q1.
love the T1; great prices, great sound, and I dumped my Jawbone Icon for it..
hope that with Froyo, you will be able to use all the voice commands on the EVO..
Thanks guys for the input.
Kratos - I remember the thread you started about ordering the t1 from the cellguru. Went ahead, bit the bullet and ordered from them.
On that note, was the product authentic? I mean...was it new condition like you would buy from say...bestbuy or radioshack?
got mine from cell guru; brand new, retail pack..
only down side is NO RETURNS ON BT HEADSETS through them..
Well I read the 300+ reviews and they showed that the products shipped out were authentic and good quality. Only a few people had problems, but cellguru made things right.
Freaking excited because I ordered it with FedEx 2 day shipping. Gotta give my Plantronics Explorer a proper burial
could have saved the money, cause they ship out really fast..I think they are in the Boston area..

I'm in Texas buddy it would take a while to get here. Plus I'm in school so I really needed it ASAP.
As far as FroYo goes, I'm really excited to get the Bluetooth functionality like the push-to-call feature that is missing from 2.1 OS. Hate the fact that I have to connect the Bluetooth and physically touch the screen to dial the person.

Has anyone else seen this yet? I've been hoping for someone to make a bluetooth gamepad that can attach to your phone... only one ever made before was the MSI BGP100, but it's been discontinued and unavailable for years, and it was a terrible design anyways.
But this new bluetooth gamepad looks awesome... it has upgradeable firmware, 3 different bluetooth profiles to begin with so it'll be compatible with almost any bluetooth device, it even has a nice sized lithium-ion battery that can charge your device while you're attached to it. It has a bt keyboard profile so right away any phone and emulator that can support using bt keyboard keys as buttons will work, but analogue sticks won't work with that profile.
But once more emulator devs start putting support for this gamepad in their emulators, everything can be used, including being able to display how much power is left in gamepads battery.
I just ordered myself one to use with Android on my HD2... this will be an awesome gamepad once more support is written into emulators. For any emulator devs, I believe the manufacturer will send a free development unit for testing and writing support into your apps.
Anyone else order one? The great thing is that it has upgradeable firmware and changeable clamps, so it can be made compatible with any devices or BT profiles in the future... so if you're a gamer, it's definitely a good investment.
How did this work out? I was thinking about getting one for my Nexus One.
It looks great but the site looks so sketchy :/
Apparently it's all good. Didn't realize it was so widely covered on other sites ha
Expensive but damn it looks nice...I am intersted.
Thanks for sharing!

I'm still waiting for it to be delivered.... they just finished producing it a few weeks ago and they've had people pre-ordering for a couple months, and being a small company, they're still catching up on shipping out all the orders. This is the same company that created the Pandora, that open-source linux based portable game system/computer... which is also a really cool item I would get if I had the money. It'll probably be another week or 2 before I recieve the controller, as I didn't pay the extra money for fast shipping.
This is definitely a legit company, and they've been sending free controllers to any emulator developers or other developers interested in developing for the controller or adding full support to their emulators. I guess it was originally being made mainly for the iPhone, and was going to use the iphone connector and have bluetooth as a bonus that would be able to be put into use later down the road with firmware updates to allow it to be used with android and other devices, but Apple doesn't allow the use of their connector unless it's certified by them, and they told them that they wouldn't certify them, so they had to scrap the apple connector and make it strictly bluetooth. I guess apple had even went and patented basicly the same gamepad design as the original iControlPad designs, so anyone else trying to make a similar gamepad that clamps on to phone will have apple after them. Luckily the iControlPad had plans publicly released before the apple patent, so they're safe from apple suing them.
I've been reading a lot and keeping up at their forums, and from everything I've read, this is a VERY sturdy and well built, quality gamepad. I guess it is made to withstand being thrown against a wall, even. I'm very excited about getting mine, and have wanted a gamepad like this for a while. And with the battery, it'll make my HD2 last twice as long while gaming. And with upgradeable firmware and multiple BT profiles, it'll probably be compatible or can be made compatible with any new phone or device I get in the future. It'll work out of the box with android emulators using the keyboard profile, and more emulators are adding full support all the time, allowing the analog controls to be used as well.
I'll post a review with pictures once I get my iControlPad in the mail.
looks cool. can't wait to see whether it really works out for you.
damn that looks coo. i hope it works out.
Update on Android development for iControlPad..... the developer of the gamepro driver (the driver that allows the MSI BGP100 bluetooth gamepad to work with android) has become a member at the iCP forums and has an iControlPad on the way to him, at which point he will be adding support for the iCP to his GamePro drivers. This will help make this gamepad more easily used for many games and emulators on android.
This works great! My collegue has it. I want to have it !!
Good concept but sadly we won't see it very wide spread. Sony's xperia play will also knock it out the market.

The Xperia play is just one phone.... with this you can turn any phone into an xperia play. And can use it with your computer and multiple devices. I think it will become more popular once xperia play hits and there's more quality games available for android that can use a gamepad. A lot of people don't want a gamepad built-in to their device all the time, but want a good gamepad for when they want to game. And with the built-in battery, it makes up for the fact that games eat your battery quickly.
I think this gamepad will get pretty popular once more apps support it and it's more known. They only just had the first 1000 made and began shipping less than a month ago. There's no other product that matches what this gamepad can do. And it's very well built and very versatile. I would take this gamepad and my HD2 over an xperia play any day. And I'll be using this gamepad for every phone I get in the future, too.
And seriously, the xperia play? How is that phone even gonna compete with the new generation of phones coming out? For being a new, high-end phone, it's not much of an upgrade from my HD2 that's already well over a year old... actually, I don't think it's an upgrade at all. And lets wait and see how long the xperia's battery lasts while gaming.
Yay!! I got notification that my iControlPad got shipped. The reason it took so long was because they were waiting for their next batch of iCPs to be manufactured and delivered. They're a small company, so they are getting them made in batches of 1000 at a time, and their first batch was probably mostly sold out from pre-orders, so that first 1000 went fast. Hopefully now that their mostly caught up with orders and everything, and now that they have more stock in, anyone putting in orders shouldn't have to wait so long for their order to be shipped. I was just unlucky enough to catch them right after the first batch sold out. I actually e-mailed them a few days ago and found out why my order was taking so long, and that it would be going out soon, so I decided to add another gamepad to my order so that they could ship it in the same box and wouldn't have to pay for shipping on the 2nd gamepad. I figure either my brother will want it, or if he didn't, someone here at xda would probably be interested.
I didn't pay for the more expensive shipping, so it'll probably still be a week or 2 til I get it, but once I do, I'm going to do a review of it with detailed pictures to post in this thread for anyone that's interested.

Ill be looking foward to this review. ive been looking for something to play with on my vibrant. i feel like ive maxed out my vibrants abilities and would love to add this to its resume.
looks good i like it
Eagerly waiting for a review If it's ANY good, gonna order one right now.
Hopefully I'll get it soon. I didn't pay the extra $25 for the faster shipping, as the cheaper shipping was already $25. It's coming from the UK, and can take 2 or 3 weeks with the cheap shipping. But they did allow me to add a 2nd gamepad to the order without costing any more for shipping, so I'm going to have one iCP that I can sell to a fellow xda member from the US. That way someone can save a couple bucks on shipping and get it within a few days instead of a few weeks (or couple months like I'm having to wait... but they said they've caught up on their orders and have new stock, so any orders placed now will be shipped within 2 days... I was unlucky enough to order right after they quickly sold out of their first batch of 1000 gamepads, and had to wait for 2nd batch to be manufactured, which took a while because they are a small company and there was some fixes made to 2nd batch.)
I'll update this thread and make review as soon as I get my order. I'll do an unboxing with pics for you guys. I think this Gamepad is going to be very popular once it gets more known... it's definitely the best quality and most versatile attachable gamepad that will probably ever be made for phones. Upgradeable firmware, multiple BT profiles, huge battery which can also power the attached phone.... can't get better than that.
I finally got my iControlPads in the mail yesterday! They are nice! Well worth the wait and money. I'll be posting the review in this thread in the next couple days.
I am very satisfied and glad I got it... it's well built, so I think it'll last me through several phones. I can't imagine anyone else creating a more versatile or better gamepad anytime soon.
Wow, That's awesome

If possible, could you see if the Nexus One would fit in the controller? Its specs can be found (url= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexus_One)here(/url). Thanks!
Nice Idea, but the quality doesn't seems to be the best
Z3 is being tested on T-Mobile's network. Might be released next month. Anyone having second thoughts after getting the G3? I had the G2, Flex and now G3. I wanted to wait for something different even though I really like what LG is doing. I didn't even know the Z3 was coming to T-Mobile (if it does).

Nah I'm good.

Same here. G3 is purring
blasted by TMO G3
I'm good with the G3. I tried the Z1 back when it came out but returned it because of the battery life. I always felt how do you really know if you like any phone unless you try it. I didn't want to go lower then 5.5" but 5.2" isn't that much smaller. I don't care for the camera on the top right side though. Lol
It's not going to be released next month, it's going to be "introduced" and if does come out for T-Mobile its going to be a few months after its introduction.
Personally I've been a big Sony fan and it's UI since the Xperia Z but the screen technology they use was abysmal. It looked washed out and the viewing angles were poor. Looks like they finally got it right with the Z2 but unfortunately I haven't got a chance to play with it because there's no T-Mobile version of it.
But at this point its going to be hard to go back to a phone that doesn't have the form factor of the G3 with a 5.5" screen. Sony's been known to have rather large phone yet have a small screen. Sony's screen to bezel ratio has always been odd
If you you're like that with cell phones then you'll NEVER be happy. There is ALWAYS something slightly better coming out in a few weeks. Right now the Z3 is coming. But then you pick up the Z3 and realize something is coming out just weeks after the Z3. You've gotta just accept what you have lol.

Ummm yea I know all about that bro...I've been a phone junkie since 1999 and had so many phones I've lost track. lol I wanted to wait for something different after having the LG G2/LG Flex but I caved in like I always do and got the G3. I didn't feel like waiting for the Note 4 or maybe even a iPhone 6. I didn't know T-Mobile was even getting the Sony Z3. It's not that I'm not happy with phones it's just obviously I like to switch a lot. Jump helps. Now the people that look over phones with magnifying glasses and pick phones apart, those are the people that don't enjoy phones.
I ended up with the g3 as well, from the flex on tmobile. Had to unfortunately switch to Verizon due to poor coverage with my new job as I travel all day now. I am in the old contracts now, 2 years, so really hoping this holds out. I have come to the conclusion, these phones are topped out and won't see anything crazy different for awhile.
Still have tmobile and the Flex as well, just letting the parents rock it for now.
Wish I got signal with tmobile in the boonies. Everything else is heads and shoulders above the competition. IMO of course.
The Z3 is still playing catch up on the spec department.
This is my temp phone anyway I'm bored of android I'm waiting for the lumia 1525 on tmobile but I have the older jump so I can change when it comes out. I thought about the z3 but they are already developing a z3x rumored to have the snapdragon 810 much much want
